  3. R2 Consis 149--McCrystal (NU) wins 10-4 over Donahue (NCST)
  4. R2 Consis 141--Red (NU) wins 8-3 over Diehl (Maryland). Looked really nice on top, turned Diehl a couple times.
  5. I was a little bummed when I heard of Augie's passing. As a kid I went to way more than my fair share of CWS games and I saw Augie's CSF teams play quite a few times. I look back fondly on those long summer days and the time I spent with family and friends while spending time at the Blatt. In a small way, he'll be a part of the fabric of the my childhood. On a side note, I had no clue he coached Illinois for a few years. RIP good sir.
  6. In case you're wondering, wrestling will fire up again at 10a CDT with Championship bracket quarterfinals and rounds 2 and 3 of the consolation bracket. Wrestling will be shown on ESPNU although I'd suggest watching it on ESPN3 as you're able to select an individual mat to watch. Kudos to ESPN as the streaming picture has been top notch with minimal buffering. If Berger and White win this morning, they'll secure AA status. Berger has #1 seeded Hidlay of NCST, Berger lost 6-3 to Hidlay earlier this year White has #3 seeded Joseph of PSU who is the defending national champ The guys in the consi bracket have to win 3 more times to attain AA status. GBR!
  7. R1 Consolation Results.. 141--Red (NU) wins 8-3 over Thorn (Minn) 149--McCrystal (NU) wins 5-2 over Williams (SIU-E) 197--Schultz (NU) wins 3-2 over Seely (Nor Colorado)
  8. R32 184--Venz (NU) loses to Ness (UNC) 12-6 I'm out for the rest of the night so if someone wants to post up the consolation results, that would be cool.
  9. R32 165--White (NU) with a big TD to win 3-1 SV over Lewis (Rutgers)
  10. Round of 32 157--Berger (NU) with a tough rideout to win 2-1 SV over Colgan (Wyo)
  11. Agreed. That was a flurry at the end, too bad Schultz couldn't of hung on for an extra split second that way he could've just pushed Wilcke away. That being said, Wilcke was pretty unlucky not to score a TD at the edge of the mat in the 3rd period.
  12. 197--Schultz (NU) loses 4-3 to Wilcke (Iowa) Schultz gets a little hosed at the end. Got a takedown at the end of the period and Wilcke instantly reversed him. It got ruled 1 escape and 2 TD making the score 4-3. Bleh.
  13. 184--Venz (NU) mauls Polson (Wyo) wins by TF 18-1
  14. 165--White (NU) wins 9-4 over Romero (UVU)
  15. 157--Berger (NU) wins 9-3 over Velliquete (Penn)
  16. Inexcusable at the collegiate level to not make weight.
  17. First round of NCAAs.. 141--Red loses to Zacherl (Clarion) 4-2 Red had double underhooks for about a minute in the 3rd period and couldn't score. Was in on a shot as time expired. 149--McCrystal loses to Degen (ISU) 9-5
  18. I'm both extremely impressed and depressed with how on point @seaofred92 has been through this thread. Got any lotto numbers you like hanging around?
  19. Yup, that is one acceptable answer. Oddly enough, there are two correct answers here (at least that I'm aware of).
  20. Damn you (and damn me) for posting this thread @Saunders just as the weather is turning nice and everything!!!?!?!
  21. Fair points regarding POB v. Gebbia. I know Gebbia has put on quite a few pounds since he got to NU and once we see the Spring Game that will help matters. I just can't get the image of him being so skinny and trying to picture him in the QB run game without getting pole axed versus Ohio State, Whisky and some of the other uber aggressive defenses NU will see this year.
