  1. I always just hit the right little box with up arrow and copy link.
  2. Now I'm curious. I would assume it would also be north of 1.5 if reports are that's where it settled at, which would make him the highest paid non OC/DC coach in the country at 1.5. If he gets that, OC/DC would be closer to 1.75-2M. Which would put them in the top 10 in assistant coach pay, and Nebraska would have 3 in the top 15. That's crazy money.
  3. Has some familiarity with Rhule besides Carolina, they crossed paths at Temple. Rhule as offensive assistant and Knighton a player on the DLine.
  4. Early reports where Rhule offered 750 and Mickey wanted 1. That's some great negotiating to get it to 1.5 if that happens.
  5. Hard to tell, he's only got 3-4 years of coaching experience split between small college and NFL. Had a solid, if unremarkable, NFL career.
  6. If that's true, that's amazing! That'll be new bar for assistant pools (I believe Bama is currently the high bar at 8.2M) and will make it much more feasible to give MJ that 1M annual he wants and get a good OC/DC and have room for other assistants. I really hope that's the case. I was thinking it would be in the 7M range.
  7. I think that's a GREAT hire for GT.
  8. Considering he is going to Wisconsin, he was in play. He wasn't our top choice though.
  9. His clause was something along the lines his title returns to WR/AHC once permanent coach is hired. Permanent coach will then decide who he wants on staff and Mickey will be paid the remainder of his contract if new coach does not retain him.
  10. From what I’ve been told, he doesn’t trust Rhule based on how Rhule treated Joe Brady. Of course Mickey is only getting Brady’s version of what happened.
  11. Also meaningless to me. But keep pushing that narrative.
  12. Is that the 3 year average? I’d love to see what his last years was. I know his first year was awful because of the sanctions and Briles.
  13. I think he would be better fit (and success) going to USF, but Colorado pays more.
  14. Can we count Stanley Morgan? He’s a WR and a starter* for the Bengals. * on special teams.
  15. I can’t remember his name, but the S&C guy has followed Rhule from Temple to Baylor to Carolina. I would bet dollars to donuts he comes to Lincoln.
  16. Funny I’ve been told Busch is gone and it was his choice. Rhule wants MJ to stay but MJ doesn’t think he can work for Rhule.
  17. I’ve heard that MJ was not happy with how things went down between Joe Brady and Rhule at Carolina and his relationship with Brady has him on Brady’s side and he isn’t sure he could work w/Rhule.
  18. To the bolded name, I've heard there's animosity to how their time ended in Carolina. If true, I don't expect Joe to come. And because of the rumored animosity, MJ may not stay. Supposedly he was also upset by how things shook out in Carolina and doesn't think he can work with Rhule because of it.
  19. I think a lot of his down was due to the porous OLine. I say try to keep CT and Trey. With Prochazka and Nouili coming back, the OLine will improve and so will the consistency of CT.
  20. I think Fidone might be done as well. Unless there's more to it, why leave? New staff, clean slate and maybe a system that fits style better. I think we will see most of the movement after spring ball where things shake out a little bit.
  21. I agree, I personally would like MJ to stay, but we can find assistants that can recruit at a high level here if he leaves. Heck, Callahan's staff was pulling great classes here and MJ wasn't on the staff.
