  1. Another perfect throw by Martinez, just dropped. I really like this frosh's touch.
  2. I forgot what it was like to watch football with a fire on both sides of the ball. This could be fun. Sure, there are mistakes and a learning curve, but seeing how much passion this team has after being so apathetic makes me excited to watch how this team grows under Frost.
  3. I predict an INT for App State unfortunately.
  4. This college football season is going to be different for me. My dad, my long time football watching buddy passed away suddenly just over a month ago. Sure, we might have differed on our favorite college football teams but he would at least watch the Huskers with me when they were on. I'll be watching the game, just not sure where yet.
  5. I think 7-5 is the realistic outcome. Eight wins would be outstanding, but I will be fine with 7-5 if the team shows improvement from the start of the season to the end of the season. The team just kind of floundered and went through the motions by the end of the last season. I believe Coach Frost can install a renewed passion and pride, so I'll be fine with a few hiccups on the road to the growth.
  6. 1. Get back to fundamentals including tackling, route running, blocking, weight room philosophy. 2. Show improvement from game one to game 12, next year. 3. Have accountability, in every facet. From game prep to in game scenarios. 4. Resurrect the pride of Nebraksa football.
  7. Is Scott Frost the only answer? No. Is he an answer most of us would like to see? Yes. Do I hope Frost returns to Lincoln? Of course. However, I'm also of the mind Moos has a plan to change the culture of Nebraska's football program back towards a proud tradition which takes pride on the product which takes the field each weekend. The apathetic mindset of "moral victories" must be shown the door and people on all levels must be held accountable (and while Riley is a very nice guy, his way was the apathetic way). There must be a bit of patience for whomever is hired to take the reigns, but as long as I see improvement from game to game, I'll be a staunch supporter of the next head man.
  8. We truly learned how out of touch Riley was in the post game presser by saying he believed he was right for the job and the mistakes were fixable. If they were so fixable, why weren't they fixed? There was a stretch in the second half which just summed up the whole Riley era. Play clock winding down on 4th and 1. Call time out. Come out of time out, false start. Riley opens a stick of gum. Go for it on 4th and 6, with a short underneath crossing route of about 4 yards. Turnover on downs. Iowa with a big play on the next play.
  9. It's part of the Langsdork strategy. Be short, then no one expects the YOLO!
  10. Playing sleeping lions. It's a great team bonding exercise.
  11. Just run at them, we've seen how well that works out for the players. You'd be safe.
  12. I learned I'm glad I missed the second half. At least I was able to call the best high school football game I've ever seen, instead of watching what seemed to be a debacle in Lincoln
  13. And I bet Langsdorf is salivating at the chance to call 60-70 passes in a game.
  14. We've been Oregon Stated into this thinking. And there is a light at the end of the tunnel..or so we hope
  15. At this point, this staff is just thumbing it's collective nose at the fan base on special teams.
  16. Pretty sure I read MR's lips there, "Hey they can't do that. They called punt. That's cheating. You can't fake a punt...what do you mean it's legal?"
