Tigernuts sucks because he is a Mizzou fan, but he probably cannot help that due to inbreeding, meth addicition or intense hillbillifacation, so I would choose to be nice to him. He seems like a pretty decent guy and a fair-minded poster from what I have read.

I think you need margins of victory of about 70-0 from here on out too. I just think your current spot is probably too much to overcome.

While I think they are very viabloe posibilities, I igured 95% would either want OU for historical goodbye or UT for revenege part 2. I just did not think the other teams would get many votes, except for those who just did not want to play the other two...

If one team in the Big 12 could beat UT and UNL, but somehow lose to this year's Jayhawks, it would be you guys...

You can find a few homers like that at any game, and with editing we really don't know how prevalant it was although, know those fans, it was VERY common(especially in Manhattan, Kansas). I had you all winning 31-10, I would say I had the spirit of it.

I think the thread is missing the issue that K-State views itself as a real rival of Nebraska. They also have a big inferiority complex thing going. Add into it that your team was the one that pulled the trigger to end the Big 12 and leave all your old Big 8 buddies (not going to argue why, been there, done that). K-State and Iowa State really did not have anywhere to land, so add that to all the other issues, and they are not gonna be real happy. There program stood on the brink of a huge conference downgrade and at the end of the day, guys in red with N shirts were the ones who took the definitive action to make that happen(I know, UT, blah blah...but UT still in the Big 12 and that saved K-State). You add all that up, they are an unhappy lot. I don't think you have it like that in Lawrence, for a lot of reasons, but even there you will find some indiviuals who were taken aback by the events of the summer. With K-State, and when you look at all the reasons they are what they are, this is not a surprise at all.

We were not really counting on winning th North anyway... If you told me we would get 3 conference wins and that is it, despite no bowl chance, I would take that offer right now... Especially if at least one was a rival...

You know, in the end, if he wins people will like him. If he can't, then his policies are a "distraction". I would say most KU fans want to like the guy, or do like him outright. A lot of people do not like how Mangino was gotten rid of, but no one blames Gill for that. Whenever KU has had nice guy coaches, they have failed. If he comes in and in the end was all policies and no wins, that will be hard to take. If he can produce decent teams, that will be fine. The players seem to like the new staff, but if they keep getting whipped, they won't like much of anything. THe Georgia Tech game is our one real saving grace, something that we did to show that the team is capable of doing something, but is young and inconsistent. We need to be in games though, Baylor has improved and is a better team than us right now, but they should not beat us that badly...

We are bad, but we should not have been beaten that bad today. We are just really inconsistent. I am not gonna jump all over the staff, all though the whole lot of them are really embarrassing us. I am a true Hawks fan, and am just going to have to hope they get better. I think we have some good talent, but a lot of it is young and makes a fair number of mistakes. We are all over the place though, so I have not written Thursday night off or the team off. I am just going to be patiend and see what they can do to improve. It is a hard ass whuppin to take, though. We got beat really bad today.

Just my opinion, buyt here are places I see as appropriate... 1) Chicago. Only issue if Northwestern somehow got in, it would be a home field, but it's Northwestern so eh. Chicago has a crapload of B10 alumni from all schools. Absolutely true. I was just pointing out that it is technically a home game for Northwestern, but that would not be that big a deal in a town like Chicago... ANd Arrowedhead ain't hosting the title game if Mizzou gets in... Just sayin...

Yeah, I left KU off cause I didn't want to get all the votes. Those 4 I put were all pretty hard nosed teams. Va Tech actually has a bus they drive around that goes to all the games that looks like a lunch pail...

Sorry. I mean blue collar, no nonsense, punch you in the mouth style. It is from workmen in heavy labor taking a lunch pail to work. No a lot of flash, but just gettin the job done in a hard working and effective way.
