  1. At the high school one district north of me: Police and officials at Maple Grove Senior High say they've launched an investigation into racist, pro-Donald Trump graffiti. The photos of the graffiti, which exploded on social media Wednesday, were apparently taken in a boys bathroom at the school. The messages appeared on a bathroom door and a toiletry cover. They include the words "#gobacktoafrica", "#whitesonly" and "#whiteamerica". It also included the pro-Trump messages "Trump Train" and "Make America Great Again". The blurred words at the top of the picture say F**k N*****s. The first blurred hashtag says #f***allporchmonkeys http://www.kare11.com/news/local/maple-grove-hs-investigating-racist-graffiti/350560184
  2. Russia has admitted they helped with Wikileaks
  3. Hillary will probably top 61M votes after west coast is done, but damn did Obama voters not show up
  4. This was brought up a tiny bit during the election, but I am curious how this will work for the next 4 years. Here is a (long, but worth it imo) Newsweek article from September that laid out known locations where he does business, and how many foreign policy decisions he makes will be ethical dilemmas. A close examination by Newsweek of the Trump Organization, including confidential interviews with business executives and some of its international partners, reveals an enterprise with deep ties to global financiers, foreign politicians and even criminals, although there is no evidence the Trump Organization has engaged in any illegal activities. It also reveals a web of contractual entanglements that could not be just canceled. If Trump moves into the White House and his family continues to receive any benefit from the company, during or even after his presidency, almost every foreign policy decision he makes will raise serious conflicts of interest and ethical quagmires. Here is a shorter article from Bloomberg yesterday that touches on similar themes to the Newsweek one. Donald Trump, the businessman, is about to run headlong into Donald Trump, the president. With his stunning election victory on Tuesday night, Trump now confronts more potential conflicts of interest than any other president in U.S. history. How -- or even whether -- the billionaire navigates this minefield could have sweeping implications at home and abroad. He pays rent to the federal government for the rights to operate his new hotel in Washington, his international deals could influence statecraft and his biggest lender, Deutsche Bank AG, is currently negotiating a settlement with the Justice Department over its mortgage-securities business. While most of Trump’s $3 billion net worth derives from properties in America, he also has licensing and management agreements for projects in Turkey, South Korea, India, Uruguay, Brazil and the Philippines. He owns three golf courses in Ireland and Scotland, with two more planned for the United Arab Emirates. He faces the prospect of foreign leaders seeking to curry favor with the U.S. president by green-lighting projects or providing favorable terms to developers linked to Trump.
  5. Yup In addition to several suits over Trump University, Trump has threatened lawsuits against a dozen or more women who’ve accused him of sexual impropriety in recent months—and several of those women have threatened to countersue if he comes after them. There’s also a New York state investigation into his charitable foundation and a reported federal investigation into some of his advisers’ ties to Russia. Beyond that, there’s litigation that Trump himself launched, like the pair of suits against celebrity chefs who backed out of plans to open restaurants in his new luxury Washington hotel. However, the most immediate challenge for Trump is a Trump University class-action lawsuit set to begin jury selection Nov. 28 in San Diego, with Trump called as a witness by both sides and certain to face sharp questioning about his venture’s marketing practices. Adding to the drama, the trial will bring Trump face to face with U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel.
  6. 1) Coming from a "best selling conservative author" raises questions as to the validity b) So what if she was crying? As Moiraine said, she's human. If I had poured my heart and soul into something for the last 10 years, thought I had it wrapped up, then lost my goal in a monumental upset I would be in tears too.
  7. Except it won't be status quo. That would be a Clinton WH and a R congress, aka gridlock (which i am mostly ok with except a few issues). The Rs will have a blank check to ram through anything they want.
  8. Reading Van Gundy's speech resulted in one very emotional zoogs. Kerr needs to be at the top of the ticket because he is more measured when he speaks and has the polished look. Then Stan Van can be the attack dog as VP. Seriously though, I am glad that they took a stand. Instead of someone like Saban who said "I didn't know it was election day".
  9. 1 term or less imo. He'll realize being president sucks compared to what he could be doing. And his base will get buyers remorse after a couple years of him not being the savior they thought he was. Plus he'll be old as F
  10. Not really. LAT/USC had T+3 and IBD had T+2. When in reality Hillary will win by ~1 point when CA is finished counting. Marist had C+1 and Google had C+2. Those look to be the closest. Hillary lost because the Obama voters didn't show in MI, WI, and PA.
  11. I would have been much happier if the Bush/Clinton era hand ended in 4 years.
  12. Welp. America actually did it tonight. Hopefully he grows up in the next 2 months and realizes that he is the leader of all Americans, and is not the vengeful person he had been. I also hope that the Rs in the house/senate have the spine to keep him in check. But I really doubt that as the vast majority haven't done that so far.
  13. Here is when the polls close by state Wait, why does that seem backwards to me? It's noon in California, why would their polls close in 2 hours?. CA closes at 11 eastern
  14. Here is when the polls close by state
  15. I live out of state, but this is Ricketts thing right? He's spending like $500k of his own money trying to repeal the repeal?
  16. Don't know if this is fraud, but here is a facebook post of the mayor of Mansfeild, GA.
  17. AFAIK, no real results start to come out until polls close in various states. But 538 has a running blog throughout the day that might be interesting -> http://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/2016-election-results-coverage/?ex_cid=extra_banner
