  1. UCF was a dumpster fire this year on the field and also within their AD. Good luck Scott!
  2. So he's really not committed to Iowa then...
  3. I guess I will entertain you. However, I guarantee that I pay more attention to the college football around the nation more so than that effing guy. Not that it matters, he's the AD and I'm not. I would just like to understand his process in the search and why he picked Mike Riley over the other good candidates out there. How on God's green earth does Mike Riley get on a short list of candidates? Forget the well respected in the coaching realm. I bought in at the beginning and I'm still about 4% hopeful for the program to be successful and that all hinges on POB. That's it. I've seen a lot of speculation about this coach or that coach that was bypassed in order to bring in Riley. Do you have any hard facts or knowledge of top notch coaches that would have come here? Not who you wanted, but known, quality coaches that confirmed they would have come here if offered. I highly doubt that Herman, or any of the other "almost saviors" would have signed on at Nebraska. Face it, Mike Riley might have been the best option we had. We deal with him for 3 or 4 years and mediocre seasons, put ourselves into a real "gotta rebuild a great program" scenario where the specter of firing a consistent 9 win coach has been tempered by those 3 or 4 mediocre years....then maybe the downside of taking this job goes away. Seriously...do you know for sure any coaches that were bypassed, that would have absolutely come here? You must not have read my OTHER posts further along. Where I asked who were the other candidates and if there were NY others. How am I supposed to know? That's why I think we should be able to know that after the fact at least. Why should you be able to know everyone that Eichorst talked to or even thought about for a potential coach? Talk about entitled... Do you think that other coaches would even talk to EIchorst if they knew after the fact that he was going to spill the beans of everyone he talked to? How do you think that it would have went over after the Miami/Penn St/Tennessee hirings if their ADs came out and said that they talked to Pelini?
  4. Doesn't get seen other wise. So that's why I chose what I did. I wanted people to see it and talk about it. So I couldn't care less what you think about my posting matters. No one said you have to read it. By the time it gets moved I'll have enough discussion to have gotten what I wanted out of it anyway. You started a thread on 10/24 titled "Tom Herman". Seems to be a great spot to put all of this.
  5. I'm guessing he is going to walk on so that he is eligible immeadiately. (I think thats how it works) If he takes a scholly, then he has to sit out a year and won't be available until 2017, his RS Jr year.
  6. False. Or the Cotton boys wouldn't have been on scholly.
  7. Just bailed on Goldy yesterday hours after they dumped their Co-OCs.
  8. Probably because he watched Armstrong's season?... Or the fact Tommy walked out of practice because Langsdorf was on him about execution. There's a lot of risk in relying on Twitter reporting.Fair enough, I havnt seen it anywhere but twitter. If you have heard different say so. Benning confirmed it this morning
  9. Response? Sexual assault happened at his house and if you believe the rumors he was involved. Even if it started off consensual, i have no problem with how LPD handled the allegations. I doubt that his reasoning for wanting to leave... Damion Bennington said the accussed isn't on the football team. But TA is upset the coaches didn't publicly defend any of them. Who is Damion Bennington? I don't know anyone by that first or last name associated with the team in any way. You don't know Damion Bennington? He was a backup DB in the 90s that got a few starts. I think he may have been MVP of the 96 Tangerine Bowl.
  10. We've already lost 7. What difference would #8 make?
  11. Assuming he is a WCO guy (learned under Cally and Sherman), so he would never be welcome here by a large chunk of our fan base. Good WCO sucks. Not because it can't be successful but it's annoying to watch. Annoying to watch? That's a new one.

  13. Think about the fact that Nebraska could've very well won if not for that tipped pick-six. Tommy locked onto his man again and didn't see the read by Iowa's LB. Do you realize that it wasn't an LB who picked off that pass? TA didn't "lock into his man" on screen that resulted in the pick six. He threw to the guy who should have been open, but Alex Lewis blew his block. And that guy made a great play on the ball. It happens. But from a "read" perspective, TA made the correct throw. Why are you throwing Lewis under a bus? I wouldn't say that's throwing Lewis under the bus. That guy was his to block and he didn't get him cut like he was supposed to. It was a bad play on Lewis' part. It was worse on TA's. Totally agree, by CM likes to label many of us as "player haters" for criticizing players.

  15. I'm sure that Johnny had nothing to do about being QB5 "behind a walk on with a low ceiling and a guy who can't physically play". All the blame should be put on 2 different sets coaching staffs that saw him in the same light.
  16. Where do you get he is putting it all on the players. He specifically talked about the coaches needing to change things. From the original post up above. The original post above says: Not sure how that is "all on the players". That is a coaching issue that he believes needs to be changed. He has said for weeks that the staff needs to use the best motivator they have - the bench.
  17. Going from this, he is saying that Riley & Co need to change what they are doing Sunday through Friday before things can be changed on Saturdays.
  18. Only thing that he is wrong on is the bowl.
  19. Correct. You need 11 points. Doesn't matter what order you get them in. 3+8 or 8+3.
  20. It would be idiotic for UGA to hire Smart. 90% of sitting P5 head coaches would take that job. Let Smart cut his teeth somewhere else first (like McElwain at CSU before UF).
  21. Thinking the only way he comes to NU is if USC hires someone he doesn't jive with.
