Its official, Huskers are the Jayhawks of the B1G - where in the hell did tradition go? and why doesn't the school care? I am thinking of just staying in Omaha from now on and going to watch those freshman play hockey at UNO, and they win too! I am not sure what I am going to do when the invoice comes for a donation. I will only open it hoping there is a refund check in it! I know, that is about as realistic as NU winning a conference crown any time soon.

Dude, i got hammered yesterday too... during the game. I never drink during the game but something told me to bring the flask yesterday, I am glad I did because I cant really remember how crap I felt for losing to Minnesota. For crying out loud, we jumped from a better conference where losses were somewhat palatable, but to join the weak azz big ten for money and then we keep getting punked by nobody programs, there are no words. no disrespect to the fans of those programs, but we might as well be Indiana or Kansas right now!!

any backup QB is the next answer... it held us back when Joe Ganz was getting shunned for Zac Lee, Joe starts and presto, points. there's the answer to the why not... we have been going bacwards since TO retired. we already tried a former DC/one game interim HC and now we should try that again? We have done that 3 times out of the past four (tech 2 HCs in the year FS got fired). Cally wasnt all that bad except he is the same as Bo in one terrible regard; neither would fire his DC due to loyalty. insanity is defined by doing the same thing repeatedly and truly expecting a different result each time. not saying anyone is insane, but to be relevant in today's game, we need a big name HC, if that how we want to be seen on the national stage. Right now, we are middle of the pack and moving to the rear of it... I say Tressel, to answer the question.

OSU has no shame in it, neither does Alabama. Are we not in the same sentence as those programs? if you say we are not as deserving as the teams paying for HCs who win NCs, then that is the real problem, self perception. I'm not saying we don't go after the Meyers and Sabans of the world. I'm just saying it's not essential that we get an established coach of that caliber. Do you remember where Florida plucked Meyer from? Utah. Saban? A terrible Miami Dolphins team (to whom he went after fielding a mediocre team at MSU). Where did Stanford find Jim Harbaugh? The University of San Diego (a Division II team). If Florida, Alabama, and Stanford had success taking a chance on a head coach, why can't we? thats a pretty good point, but i thought we did that with Pelini and it didnt work out.
