  1. Being from Seward (about 10 miles from Utica) I've seen him at a lot of track meets and such. FWIW, I also played basketball against him in 8th grade while he was in 7th. He was damn good then too. Heck of an athlete...very similar to Tyler Evans in my opinion. I'm glad to see he's walking on.
  2. I'm with ya 100%. I don't remember what game it was, but Holley got a rebound down low and absolutely EXPLODED out of everyone for a dunk. Dude has hops. Earlier in the year Jones was called "one of the best three-point shooters in the country" by a TV announcer. Play them. Oh well. It's just Nebraska basketball I guess...but man I wish we could be good at it because then it gets really fun. Hopefully we can get McCray back healthy next year and develop all the freshmen. We show potential, but no consistency.
  3. 42-28 half...we're losing of course
  4. Diaz needs to follow his shots. That free throw just reminded me of it. Every game I've been to or watched, I've seen him shoot from free throw range and immediately start heading back to the other end of the floor. I guess everyone does that though, not just him. And layup drills much?
  5. Wow double technical? BS. No call please.
  6. Haha I didn't catch that, or tuned in later. Bear Jones maybe...
  7. On ESPN360.com if anyone is interested.
  8. Off topic, but what's the deal with Emmitt Smith? I've seen him mentioned a couple times now and was just wondering what his recruiting story was. I'm too young to know about it and too lazy to research it. I can guarantee too you that Bo/Tim Beck will not stop recruiting 3-4 QBs next year. All year. Notice which coach(es) I didn't state?? Clears throat........Gilmore.....And I guarantee you Bo won't let these 2 recruit QBs next year. I hear without TF's help, Carnes probably visits someplace else anyways. For Watson's sake, this turned another 180 on him and yet again blew up in his face. The man is gun shy and I don't want him recruiting any more QBs for NU again. He can't do it by himself. Remember without Ekeler, C. Green is at ATM right now. Martinez was all Carl. Without him he's in the Pac 10 right now. Beck is recruiting Turner. Watson has recruited C. Spano to NU, he had no place else to go before enrolling early and a super stud, WALK ON QB, J. Klatt, at CU. Finally, it's a damn good thing Marsh didn't turn down NU/Watson for UNO. Well hopefully he doesn't decomit in the next 3 days??? So we are going to self destruct on Shawn Watson, are we? Blame him for the whole thing? Anyway, im sure we will find out more on Monday. And yes. We are going to blame Watson. That's how it works. Something bad happens to Nebraska and Watson automatically gets the blame. But seriously, it sucks he's not coming here, but I didn't see him getting much playing time in his career anyways. Same with little Gabbert. It's not a good year to be a quarterback who wants to play for Nebraska. If anyone comes here this year as QB, they'll MAYBE get 1 year of playing time as a senior, and that's saying Turner isn't the starter by then, which is a strong possibility.
  9. I used to listen to the radio while watching the game on tv, but Janet and Justin f'd that all up for us . its a lil more effort than one should have to go through to do so, but with my DVR i can stop the game as needed to make the radio broadcast sync up. There seems to be just as big of cushion on the radio side, they just time it out differently with breaks and stuff. It seems to work good enough for me, and I rarely listen to the TV broadcasts. WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS!!!??? Thanks for the post! I'm not quite sure how that would work since the radio is already ahead of the tv, slowing down the tv would just make it worse. well, i can tell you from personal experience that the radio here in good ol' union, nebraska, is no where near being ahead of my satellite game broadcasts. im not sure how it works for folks getting over-the-air digital broadcasts, or cable, or what have you...but it honest to gawd works for me and my set-up. I don't know much about them, but they do make radios where you can set a delay. I don't know how much they cost either, but I do know they exist. Just Google "delay radio" or something to that effect.
  10. This story saying the initial Rivals100 was released is dated 3-12-09. So I'd expect the next ones to come out around that same time this year.
  11. Wwwwwwhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaattt when did florida get into the mix. God Tim Tebow must have told meyer in a dream to get this kid. Fixed. 5 more days.......ugh.
  12. Anyone know how student tickets work for the Spring Game? They're free I know, but is it just general admission seating for them?
  13. I don't know if this was covered, so sorry if it was, but did that Facebook group/fan page get deleted? Just curious since we've established it may be frowned upon by the NCAA. I also noticed Oregon has one.
  14. Not to nitpick or anything, but they're not high school teammates. Cooper goes to Proviso East while Prater goes to Proviso West. However, they are best friends which doesn't help anything at all. "My best friend is on their team, Corey Cooper, so it's big. Hopefully we can put on a show." -Prater Link to quote
  15. If St. Louis gets the top pick I wouldn't expect them to take Suh. They've taken 2 d linemen in the first round very recently. Chris Long and Adam Carriker. Carriker at DE and Suh at DT? Why not? That's half of the DL that you must pay attention to. I'd rather see Suh go to TB though. Carriker plays DT in the NFL. Teams usually use the draft for "needs" though. Although it would be nice to have a stacked d-line, I don't see them doing it. I could see them getting a QB...but then again, Suh is one of those rare talents they may not want to pass up.
  16. Bo doesn't use chewing gum, its shard of broken glass wrapped in barbed wire. I thought it was Ritalin... Imagine if he didn't chew it... I'm sure Bo feels that since he hasn't won a conference and/or national championship, he doesn't really deserve a huge salary. And even after that, I'm guessing it won't be a huge deal.
  17. If St. Louis gets the top pick I wouldn't expect them to take Suh. They've taken 2 d linemen in the first round very recently. Chris Long and Adam Carriker.
  18. We have playmakers on offense. Our backs are good. Our receivers are pretty fast. Brandon Kinnie has been playing well the last couple games so I think he'll be good. We have playmakers. Sucks Carter left, but losing Gabbert isn't a big concern to me. Our OL is KILLING us now. With a better O-Line, I'm convinced we would have beaten Texas. We couldn't get any running game going. Turn those 2-3 yard gains into 6-7 yard gains and that game ends differently. That opens playaction passing. The drop back passing doesn't work at all with no line. Regardless of who is in at QB, they feel rushed and tend to make bad decisions. I'm good with recruiting linemen, at least this year anyways. Ramble ramble ramble...
  19. But is this game on ESPNU? Yes Poop...don't get that on Time Warner at UNL...keep the updates coming!
  20. COOOOOOOOOOP! There's the next name to replace SUUUUUH for football games (Khiry Cooper). But is this game on ESPNU?
  21. Well poop...Ingram is good. I wish Gerhart woulda won if anyone had to over Suh. Congrats to him. But 4th place?!?!?!?! WADDAEFFSUPWITDAT?
  22. Lol.. They got rid of the race to the stadium Kinda funny, cuz we were talking about that down in dallas during half time of the game.. wondered why they got rid of it lol. but the eye on the pie is gay. seriously. hell, there was once for sure this year where it wasn't even under the right one there was no way... the entire stadium got it wrong.... An the guy playing for it is always sitting in rows 1 through 5...like they need free pizza and such.
  23. No one ever seems to complain about the the playoffs in all the other sports I do. It's part of the reason I don't get into pro or any other sports. I hated all this talk about taking the colorado game off this year. You know it'll happen in the future with a playoff. Team has conference wrapped up....look at this year. If texass didn't need to be undefeated to still have a #1 seed they might have just dropped the A&M game. What an huge joke for a rivalry game! That's why I think you still play the conference championship games. For example...Nebraska and Texas have North and South wrapped up, both with one game left. Both possibly in contention for a "wild card." They're not gonna take a game off with the risk of losing the CCG and not getting the playoff spot. I think you let voters decide the wild card spots like the NCAA Tournament Committee decides at large bids for the basketball tourney. But if you're the "first team out" you're gonna have your argument. Chances are though that the "first team out" doesn't really have a legitimate shot at winning the title. This year there's probably around 10 teams with a "legit" shot at winning it all if there was a playoff. If you put 16 teams in the playoffs, it's hard to argue that the national champion isn't somewhere in that 16. But like I said I can't really think of a system that would make everyone happy. The way it is now though is effed.
  24. Sucks he wasn't a finalist for the Maxwell. Would have liked to see him win some player of the year award. Someone (i wasn't watching closely) was going through all the awards tonight and who should win what. The guy read the names for the Maxwell award and whoever was answering said "I'm not going with any of those finalists." He picked Suh. Suh is one of the most amazing players I've watched...ever. It's just nuts how good he is.
