We just don't usually see this much rain in Colorado. 7" in 24 hours just south of me. They're closing Thompson canyon, only way out of Estes is over Trail Ridge Road.
No, more in the Greeley area. We've had steady rain for a few days now, maybe 2", but nothing like up towards Estes, Boulder, and south towards Denver. It's kinda crazy.
Thompson Canyon has one of the funniest signs in the country. It's something like, "In case of flood, climb to safety." Of course, where that sign is placed is nothing but vertical, broken rock wall.
