  1. Well that’s one off the secondary bucket list. Had In-N-Out burger for the first time ever today. It was pretty good but nothing worthy of all the hype. Burger (Double-Double animal style) and fries were good. Vanilla shake not so good. Not sure there was any actual dairy product in it.
  2. Oh yeah, getting steak out at a restaurant is whole nother deal. Most places rarely (pun intended) get it right. My original comment was speaking to buying good, properly marbled meat at a grocery store. Around here Sam’s Club has really good meat, otherwise I’m going to a small processor I know. Won’t get meat at Walmart or Safeway or usually even King Soopers.
  3. Me too. Beer. I don’t drink that much but it better be good and it better not closely resemble the swill the mega brewers put out. Also meat, especially steak. I won’t buy just anything from anywhere.
  4. So you actually expected to see improvement in the QB room when the raw materials were Sims, Haarburg and an injured Purdy? And you blame Satt for that? SMH
  5. What an incoherent rambling dumbf#&%. Problem is, it all makes sense to his MAGAt followers because they can’t even spell their own name. Just remember, about half (maybe more in red states) of the people you encounter are exactly this stupid.
  6. Like I previously said and you failed to comprehend or chose to ignore, the end result is not what you should focus on. It’s the attempt and the attached erosion of what has kept us a democracy for so long. Or is your story now that Trump would not punish those who oppose him, that he would not place puppets in positions of power? That he learned nothing about where he failed on his first run at subverting an election? They were just rowdy tourists, amiright? You sure do place a lot of trust in Trump’s good nature. Yeah yeah, obligatory “I won’t vote for him” bs. If you think he is not a danger and damaging to our democracy, I don’t know what else to tell ya. It wouldn’t do any good anyway, proven by your failures so far. You keep saying you’re going to vote for Desantis. Unfortunately for you he isn’t going to be on the ballot. I think we all fully understand what you’ll do at that point. I mean why should we take you at your word, you won’t even take Trump at his own words.
  7. Obviously somebody’s best course of study was not History. If only there were some historical examples of how a government transformed with the wrong person in charge. Pffft, crazy talk. Of course it could never happen.
  8. No, that just happens to be the only part of the discussion YOU want to focus on. Read my whole post and get back to me. Or don’t, IDGAF.
  9. As expected you picked one little part of what was said instead of addressing the important parts. You and others like you are exactly why that mfer still has a shot at being elected again. Thanks for being part of the problem.
  10. You’re caught up in a semantics argument and glossing over the attempt. Don’t worry if Trump falls into your exact definition of a dictator. Don’t worry about if he would become a dictator or transform our government. That isn’t the point. Hopefully we have enough safeguards in place to prevent things from going even further with another better attempt. Instead focus on if we (you) really want Trump anywhere near that seat of power again. And believe him when he says he will punish those who oppose him. Trust that he has figured out new better ways to get those electors overturned. Know that he will put key people in place to help him and remove those that oppose him. Isn’t that enough? Focusing on if he would be ultimately successful is only empowering him to make another attempt.
  11. Yeah I get the home thing. But a guy that talented, that plays on the offensive side of the ball? Seems he could land about anywhere he chose to. Heck Nebraska could take him and he’d still be pretty close to home
  12. Hogwash. Nothing to see here. -Archy (not probably)
  13. If Iowa, what a strange choice. Not sure they’ll have an OC named by spring…..and even then it’s still Iowa.
  14. Well then, it should be extremely easy for the Rs, who have been exhaustingly all over this issue, to get a conviction and actual ties to JB on the official record. I wonder what is taking so long. Waiting….waiting. Funny how some people are overly concerned with this while the most corrupt pos Presidential candidate in the history of this country is running away with the R nomination and is poised to be elected our next President. I also had misplaced priorities one time….or is it on purpose. But the emails…but Hunter…but but but.
  15. What if Satterfield doesn’t struggle? What if he only struggles a little bit? What if Val’s stops selling pizza in the stadium, then who is OC and QB coach?
  16. Yawn. It’s Hunter effin Biden. Not a government employee or elected official. Wake me up when they prove (actual proof, not unsupported claims of proof) that money and influence was flowing to his President father. Until then all this is HB, just another POS.
  17. Ha. The new QuikTrip by my work has been $1.84 for the last few weeks. They were less than that a few times before Christmas. Not kidding. Most every place else is $2.30 to $2.70. Place is BUSY.
  18. Oh yeah, that’s definitely the smart way to do it. I was just bustin chops. And yeah, I hate when they talk about payment amount, like that’s important. Doesn’t matter if I’m paying cash or financing, all I want to know is how much is the vehicle and how much lower can they go.
  19. Well, you did make car payments, they were just before you got the car.
  20. You don’t need a truck. You need a plastic bubble…and a tampon
  21. Lmao This made me choke on my lunchtime bowl of chili.
  22. Absolutely. Don’t get a 6 cylinder. The mileage placard looks better but if you’re gonna get a truck, get frikken truck. That 6 cylinder Canyon I had was the quickest I’ve ever switched vehicles. It might be good for Grandpas Doggy Doo service but that’s about it. It didn’t help that I was used to Yukons and full size pickups. The cabin felt cramped like a VW bug. I like to spread out and have some room.
  23. If you get a truck your gas expense is going up by about 1.5x. Commando is correct, about 17mpg is it. I can get upwards of 20-21 on the interstate but it runs 16-18 in town. And mine has a deal that cuts out 4 of the cylinders when they’re not needed. Probably would run 14-15 at best without that feature. Talk to some of your firemen buddies. They know their way around fancy new trucks
  24. I’ve been driving GMCs for a long time. Latest is a 2018 Sierra SLT with some upgrades. It’s basically a Denali without the Denali badge or grill. I really like this one. But yeah it’s basically just a commuter until I have to haul a washer & dryer or fridge or lumber or hook up the trailer to get a load of mulch etc. if you’re never going to do anything like that, prob don’t need a truck. But it’s very handy when you need to do that stuff. I’ve never liked Fords. My first car was an old pos Ford and our first company truck was a F350 that rides worse than a lumber wagon. I’m sure they’re not as bad as my experience. Lately I’ve noticed a lot of Dodge/Ram around here. No experience with those. The GMCs I’ve had have been extremely comfortable. The one exception was when I dropped down in size and had a V6 Canyon. Too small for me and it was horrible to drive on I-25. Notorious stop and go traffic and it didn’t have enough power to pick up and go again to stay with the pack. Got rid of it within a couple years. When I step on the gas, I want s#!t to happen
