  1. So I feel we are extremely lucky to only be down 6, but yet should be winning this game right now. That turnover in the redzone will haunt us, but thankfully Oregon continues to try and go for 2.
  2. I love the decision to go for those 4th downs. The problem is we need to get points. It's only a matter of time before Oregon gets going, so we need to capitalize on our possessions as much as possible. I do like how we get the ball to start the half.
  3. Still amazed we gave up that 2 point conversion. We should have seen that coming.
  4. I may be getting ahead of myself here, but if Nebraska is able to get up on Oregon I sure hope Riley hasn't forgotten the last 7 meetings with Oregon and just decides to pile it on Oregon.
  5. Well coach this is an enormous game, and I am ready to finally start winning these games.
  6. Anyone paying attention to the injuries and/or suspensions on the Oregon side of things? I know in their season opener their big D-Lineman was supended, Privot. Not sure if he is back yet or not. Also going into the UC Davis game i know they had several O-Lineman who were injured making way for a potential very young O-Line.
  7. I'd say USC in '07. Or Texas 2010. Personally attended 2 of the 3 mentioned and will be flying up tomorrow...I apologize in advance, guys. LOL well try to remember the same thing you did during those 2 games, and don't do that thing.
  8. Oh Freeman will get 100. I say keeping him below 150 would be a great day.
  9. Nebraska also has to be prepared for 2 PT conversions, Oregon going for it on 4th downs, and some trickery along the way. You can't trust these guys to play conventional football.
  10. But how quickly did we forget about it? I didn't think about that game again after that debacle.
  11. Honestly, if we lose I hope we lose big, and the only reason for that is if we lose close that means it came down to the wire and one or two wrongdoings cost us and I will have nightmares about it forever. Let alone that means it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the entire game. I guess this means I am just tired of getting heart broken during games.
  12. If we win that means our Defense did enough. That is all I would need to call it a success.
  13. You have to be able to make one on one plays. You have to be able to prevent them from gaining much ground on 1st down.
  14. The second longest sell out streak belongs to the Oregon Ducks. But I think they are in the 200 something.
  15. This feels a little awkward. Looks like a giant 2 million dollar room and only two reporters in it.
  16. http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/mailbag-how-much-florida-state-will-miss-the-injured-derwin-james-091416 I see it as both. It would be a big win for Nebraska, to finally get one of these games, but I am sure the national media will chalk it up as Oregon on the decline and Nebraska being a little better than what some expected after coming off a 6-7 season. Nebraska won't be judged on being good until they beat Wisconsin and Michigan State this year.
  17. A shootout is the worst possible scenario for Nebraska to get into with Oregon.
  18. Oregon has a young LB Core and young D-Line. I am not sure but their main D-Lineman Privot may still be suspended? Another weakness for Oregon is their offensive line is very young. You must get pressure in the backfield to slow their offense down, and also prevent them from gaining big yards on 1st downs.
  19. If Nebraska wins this game, I will build a statue of Riley in my yard.
  20. Since scheduling this game I was certain Nebraska would lose, however, as the game gets closer and I have seen each teams 2 games, I am getting a little more confident Nebraska might actually pull this off. Honestly this is a toss up and could go either way. We will probably know within the first 5 mintues of this game how it is going to go. Either Oregon comes out firing on all cylinders and runs away with it, or Nebraska shows they were well prepared for the game and gets a couple stops to the Ducks. The hard part is, at any given time, Oregon's offense can explode and put up a ton of points. You must remain disciplined the entire game.
  21. I like the thought of this, but Oregon just needs to go to their video vault of Riley's years at Oregon State to get an idea of what Nebraska is going to run. Riley ran this same stuff in Corvallis, so Oregon has seen it, and has loads of tape on it. The whole, saving game plans for such and such week, reminds me of the Callahan days of where things were so vanilla to keep the big game teams from knowing what we may run. The problem that seems to have always happened when you don't run you stuff for week 1, week 2, etc. then suddenly in week 4 want to run it, is players don't seem to execute it so well.
  22. Sounds about right, but I could also see going to #17 or #18.
  23. A big thing is the players mentality when playing Oregon. How will they react when Oregon gets that tempo going, gets their momentum and scores in a blistering speed moment. It can be shocking just how fast they can score and what happens to the game once they get momentum. Nebraska players need to be aware that big plays will happen, tempo will get going, but remain calm and don't get caught up in what Oregon is doing.
  24. Ha ha! I had to google that one to see if that was really a pic of Oregon's QB coach, David Yost. It is. You know how teams use the boards now with 4 boxes usually with pictures of celebrities to call play. It would be hilarious if for this game Nebraska used some of these celebrity pictures on those boards, heck, even if they didn't mean anything and were just for smokes and mirrors.
