  1. "This week there was some gray area of (assistants) really not deciding where they wanted to go until the last minute, Els said. There were either options or it was a situation where we said I dont know. It was just different for some reason of being a little bit unsure on where to go. I guess I dont know why." - Ross Ells former Husker recruiting coordinator. Not sure what article this is from. The quote was sent to me via text from a friend
  2. Can we build a wall around the state, so we don't have any stupid Iowans coming in (sorry BRI)?Hey now. Michael Jacobson and I take offense to that...
  3. As I've noted over and over, including in that original post, he performed as well, and in most cases better, than other Riley QBs. Katz was the guy who was a redshirt sophomore his first year starting, had a QB rating just slightly below Armstrongs and ended up transferring as a SR (was benched as a JR for Manion, if I recall). Maybe I should just repost the original post. you should because it sure seems like you're moving the goal posts
  4. Do they even have computers in Mississippi? Enough to laugh at a joke like this coming from someone in Nebraska, at least. huh?

  6. not gonna lie, I have 2 pairs of Adidas running/athletic shoes. The boost foam is comfy as hell to move around in.
  7. If their quarterback plays well and our quarterback plays awful and throws four interceptions, then we should not have won. Maybe we could have, but we shouldn't have. Wasn't that, in a way, his point?
  8. I wouldnt call our LBs speed deficient. But anyway, nice pickup. Glad any time some commits to attend NU. He is a bball player or trackster? With those numbers, I'd think he'd be tearing it up. I always liked following Gerry's progress in HS track. Really? All I can remember is every linebacker getting beat on swing pass after swing pass and always being three steps behind whoever they were chasing before Mike got herethat was mainly due in part to the fact that the defense had a heck of a time trying to figure out the concept of angles.
  9. On rivals it says he still wants to visit. Not holding my breath for a commitment but still pretty cool.
  10. I know this isn't the Adidas thread, but God I hate the tire tread on the jerseys
  11. Adding the TE reverse after Michigan State ran it against us worked pretty well. That's putting in one play. It's not a complete overhaul of the offense.no but it shows he's willing to make adjustments

  13. It was weird. His strides are so long that he really doesn't look "football" fast. Then you realize that non of the wide receivers can pull away from him and when he chased after people from the other side of the field, he flew by players like they were jogging.
  14. Wonder if that guy who said he wouldn't watch another husker basketball game this season is keeping his word?
  15. I'd like to see Decker make a move.Same. He's in one of my English classes. Pretty smart guy.
  16. Pac12 schools are very unlikely to add religion-based institutions such as Baylor or TCU.That's why BYU is not in the Pac 12. It boils down to: How tied to TCU and Baylor is Texas and how bad would the Pac 12 want Texas? I could see Texas dumping them all for a Pac 12 invite. That would immediately kill the Big 12 and would put Texas in a nice position again as a premiere landing spot for in state recruits. if that happened I would guess OU most likely follows them.
  17. agree with all of that except for boise state. I think adding cincinnati would be a better move. Why? I guess if you are thinking market share or getting into Ohio as the reason that is a consideration. The problem is that in Ohio no one cares about Cincinnati it is OSU all the way. In Idaho it is all about Boise St. you also have a budding built in rivalry with BYU. yes but Cincinnati is like Houston in the way that it's market is like it's own separate world. If Cincinnati can continue to be good in basketball and get back to the way they were under Brian Kelly in football (yeah I know, it's a long shot) then more Cincinnatians will in theory become more interested in Cincinnati like they used to be. I know that Ohio state will never be overcome as the favorite school in Ohio and the B1G will always rule there, but Cincinnati's metro of roughly 2,140,000 is a lot more appealing than idaho's entire population (roughly 1.63 million). Plus it gives the b12 another school nearby west Virginia. That is fine then I would leave out CSU and add Cinci, BSU and BYU. The big problem with BYU is that it won't play Sunday games, but I don't think that is anything to hard to work out. true. Also doesn't BYU have its own network as well? If they do, I wonder how that would affect a future b12 network.

  20. You're thinking of Okie liteActually if you really want to get an education in Oklahoma you would go to Okie St. If you want to party go to OU. But with that being said OSU is not the Harvard of the southern plains. Multiple sources have OU ranked higher academically than okie st. Also I've heard rumors about how one of the main reasons why the OU-UT to the PAC deal didn't work out was because not only did UT back out, but also because the California schools and Washington didn't like the idea of being in the same conference as osu. In regards to partying and being an academically prestigious school, just look at the University of Iowa and Illinois
