  1. Someone on this board claims that the commentators are saying we are a much improved team. If that was really the case, why would we be an underdog to an 0-3 team. May be because deep down they really know that we are bottom dwellers of the BIG and probably the only game we might be favored in is the one against Illinois. I honestly would have never believed that the once mighty Huskers would fall so bad if I haven’t witnessed it. I pray that Frost get his s#!t together and starts figuring things out. He has been outcoached by every coach in the BIG thus far. It is time for action and not words.
  2. Northwestern is not that good. Wait till they play some real opponents before you make them look like world beaters...come on...be real...we had many opportunities to beat them and we pissed them away. Stop trying to make northwestern be a powerhouse. What will be your excuse if we lose to penn state who has been awful this year? I am sure you are very creative and I look forward to your excuse...bottom line, we are not that good...admit it. Even Rutgers performed better than us against Ohio state. Until I see us pull ONE decent game where we execute and do not shoot ourselves in the foot, I stay skeptical as to our improvement as a football team.
  3. Excuses...excuses...we have become brilliant at comforting ourselves by blaming everything except the lack of execution and undisciplined play...is COVID responsible for us continuing to shoot ourselves in the foot by committing stupid penalties or is it responsible for Frost being unable to call effective plays in the red zone...come on...this is exactly what we have been seeing for three years now. I understand that we need to be patient and that this year is a dumpster fire but let us not blame COVID for our loss to a not so good northwestern team. I guess I already know the excuse for our upcoming loss to penn state next week...COVID-19 made me do it.
  4. Do you seriously think we are Minnesota? I am sorry by Minnesota has whipped us around lately and they had an excellent season last year. We are slightly better than Illinois right now and may be Rutgers and I say that with utter humbleness as I feel that Rutgers would probably beat us this year if we played them. let us face it, Frost is lost and he is not even close to turning this around. We can be patient and give him all the time he needs but let us not sugar coat it. If Indiana could turn things around, why can’t he!? He is paid way more than Indiana’s coach and the results do not reflect that.
  5. I am sorry, I meant dominating the big twelve. You are right, we never dominated the BiG. But we did dominate the big twelve for almost a decade.
  6. My issue is not whether Frost is the right man for the job or not. I believed and still believe that he was a good hire at the time. My issue is that his demeanor and statements gave the fan base the impression that he was going to turn this around and make us competitive. He is among the highest paid coaches in the nation and over the past three years, he has done very little to earn our trust. He blamed the culture of the team and many recruits transferred under his leadership. At what point do we start to wonder whether he is simply way over his head and his style of football is not a good fit for the BIG. We went from dominating the Big Twelve to being bottom dwellers of the BIG ten. How many losing seasons do we have to endure. I echo many on this thread that say that the fan base would eventually lose all hope and just settle for the current state of mediocrity. I wonder what excuses will we come up with when we lose to a very bad penn state team!?
  7. Thank God our games are morning games and not prime time because I am sick and tired of us getting embarrassed on national TV. I think the BIG also believes that we are not worth prime time coverage. Can you blame them?
  8. We need a win very bad for this team to get a sliver of confidence. I honestly think that Luke gives us the best chance at winning. He seems more confident and more hungry for a win. We need to have some vertical threat or else our running backs will be ineffective. AM passes were horrible for the most part and lacked any accuracy. Luke’s passes looked more crisp. The issue was not Luke but rather the horrible play calling by Frost who seemed unsure of how to finish opportunities in the red zone. If we actually finished two of our opportunities, we would be winning by a touchdown and not losing to an unranked northwestern team.
  9. IMHO, AM has been given every opportunity to succeed at Nebraska and he has not. He shows sparks of brilliance but they are very few and far between. It is time to develop the freshmen players and invest in the next four years. This season is done...we will be lucky to win one or two games. So, if I were Frost, I would start all the freshmen that we recruited or the players that transferred so we can give them experience heading into next year. Moreover, if other talented recruits see that we are playing freshmen and letting them start, we will more likely be able to recruit this talent. That is our only selling point right now given that this team is not relevant and has no identity or swagger. I thought by now Frost would right this sinking ship but instead he has done very little to impress and left us with many questions regarding the unprecedented number of players transferring out. My only hope is that he receives Devine inspiration.
  10. This sums up our progress in the Frost era...I had such high hopes for him being the one who brings Nebraska back to glory...might still happen but I am afraid that husker nation is beginning to lose hope.
  11. I have absolutely no doubt that everyone on this board were extremely excited when Frost was hired, myself included. However, three years into the Frost era and I see minimal improvement and our talent is average at best. We have been among the most penalized teams in the nation for over a decade now. How long does it take to fix that!? Arguably, there has been zero improvement in that area over the past three years. Moreover, our red zone offense is a disaster and has been since Frost arrived at UNL. I actually think that the only improvements have been on the defensive side so now I understand why Frost has not fired Chin because may be he is realizing that he is the issue here and not chin. Our special teams are extremely UNSPECIAL. The team has no identity and our plays have no rhythm what so ever. To make things worse, every time we have a nice drive, we manage to shoot ourselves in the foot and either end up turning the ball on downs or throwing an interception. This game for me was the actual measuring stick on where we are now and it is obvious we are no better than Rutgers or Illinois. We will be lucky if we pull a win and a miracle if we pull two wins this season. Frost is completely lost and has no answers. Things are not going to be better next year either unless Frost makes some smart decisions and starts Luke in every game going forward.
  12. My takeaways: (1) Scott Frost should consider donating his paycheck to charity as he has not earned a penny's worth this season. (2) our defense played well enough for us to win the game even though they were horrible on third and long but still had two interceptions and kept us in the game (3) saying that our red zone offense is atrocious is the understatement of this horrible 2020 year (4) frost play calling is predictable and laughable. (5) Iowa will wipe the floor with this team even with a racist coach (6) we probably only have a chance to beat Illinois and that is doubtful at this point (7) we have no identity or any strengths in this team. Other than Reimers and DOMANN, who played lights out, the rest were below average (8) for those who say that Speilman was a non factor, I say: are you kidding me (9) this crapshoot of a football team is not going to get fixed any time soon. We can’t recruit top talent if we keep showing the world how crappy we are so this vicious cycle will continue for the next decade. (10) our only hope is to start Luke the rest of the games and get him some experience going into next season since this season is an 0-7 or a 1-6 at best. Might as well get him ready for next year.
  13. I was pissed we did not play Wisconsin but after watching this game, I think that was a blessing in disguise. We would be looking at an 0-4 start which is now the new Norm with Frost. At year 3, you would think we would be a little better but we have shown no growth and our new talent is average at best. Luke has a good future but not with Frost horrible play calling.
  14. May be Frost should re-evaluate his s#!tty @$$ coaching....nothing he says in a press conference is worth listening to...the bottom line is that he is not a good coach and May be he can grow into this role but it will take a decade...for me, I am done hoping we will ever become relevant...I am glad I was at UNL during its glory times...I feel bad for the fans now.
  15. That’s about right...Fitzgerald owns Pathetic Frost
  16. If we actually pull this win, it would be a Christmas miracle.
  17. Let us face it...Frost is wayyyyyyy out of his league...it will take a decade to fix this crap or we just have to agree that our era of dominance is way behind us. We are the Kansas of the Big.
  18. I hate how undisciplined we are....we are truly a horrible team and the rock bottom of the Big.
  19. Seriously....we deserve to lose this game...the refs bailed us out twice and useless Frost pissed it away...I am sick to my stomach
  20. So we need a touchdown and a 2pt conversion.....dream on
  21. Another loss to penn state coming up next week and we are looking at 0-3, which is now the new state of Nebraska football...thank you Frost. You make us proud.
