  1. So fire the coach after one season? Quit reading after that comment
  2. You do know Bo went 10-2 multiple times, right? Yep, and the team got embarrassed in their last 2 games in each of those seasons... You sure about that? Lost to OU (who finished that season #6 with a BCS win) by 3 points. Lost a rematch game to Washington 19-7 2012 Lost badly to Wisconsin, who went on to play top 10 Stanford to the last possession in the Rose Bowl, if I recall. They also lost to NU earlier in the seasons Lost a hard fought game to #6 Georgia. That is not all that embarrassing. But I guess if your ego is wrapped up in a football team, that's your problem. You realize Bo hated the media and fans right?? This is coming from people who would rather be right then support the program. I'm talking the last couple seasons record wise with his own players. The only time we were ever relevant was during the times when ESPN got ahold of your beloved coaches rants. The guy is gone and not coming back and he's 4-4 at his current school, while his predecessor was 7-5 last year. What does that have to do with his 10-2 regular seasons, one of which was in 2012, a full 5 seasons after Callahan had been shown the door? If you felt hated by Bo, you probably deserved it. Because you are/were a fairweather fan with no appreciation of how hard it is to win games in CFB. Was actually a huge Bo supporter! Stuck with him through thick and thin and finally thought last year would be the year we were going to Wisconsin with tons of momentum and you know the rest. Melvin Gordon broke the NCAA rushing record in three quarters against Bo's defense. The next week we lose at home against Minnesota in which we can't stop a zone read with a FB playing QB for the gophers. I was still on board until the Iowa game even though we came back and won despite some terrible coaching. And after the audio came out where Bo pretty much called the fans pieces of SH*T. You're damn right, the door couldn't have hit him hard enough on the way out. As for the fair-weather fan comment I was at West Lafayette two years ago, Minnesota a couple weeks ago so try again. Trying to put my finger on it but there's no one that could be so dense that would still want to have Bo around. So either you must be Bo and if that's the case I hope Youngstown is treating you well because you finally found a job that suites you.
  3. Look at players efforts and that's all you need to know
  4. He had more than likely one of the best defenses in Nebraska history and still managed to lose 4 games

  6. You mean changing out a toxic culture for non-toxic one. Bo was never going to take us where we needed to go. That was proven in the time while he was here. He was much closer to 7-5 then he was 10-2
  7. Who is the last prostyle QB to light the world on fire at any point, let alone as a freshman? Connor is pointed to as a prototype for Riley and Langs, but he's an average QB at the college level. That's what I don't get about those pinning hopes and dreams on POB, who could just as easily be another Harrison Beck or Hackenburg Jameis Winston? yeah, that's a solid example. wonder if he'd fit what Riley was looking for, though. also wonder if it's realistic to expect that from just about anyone else? That FSU team had a perfect storm going for them. I seem to recall them being utterly dominant on defense and ringing up some huge scores on lesser teams (e.g., 80 points on Idaho). Everything starts with strong QB play. Look at FSU this year and what they are struggling with. If we want to contend with the big boys we have to have a SOLID QB We have that in Armstrong. He's just being squandered by the playcalling. I would certainly say Tommy at times can be ok but he is far from solid

If we want to contend with the big boys we have to have a SOLID QB First you need a good offensive line. A terrible line makes even the greatest QB look really bad. Remember what happened to Peyton Manning against Nebraska? His line got whipped. Can't really have one without the other

  11. Wasn't MSU a bloodbath for Tommy last year until mop up duty??
  12. I'm not. So lets say you get hired at a new high school and get to run your own football program. The team you inherit is pretty weak at most spots and you go 1-8 is it ok to fire you from coaching? Or should you get the opportunity to try and change the culture and weight programs of that school?
  13. I'm just saying we shouldn't judge him by the first 8 games, because its apparent not all the players have bought in. It's not his fault either, cause it is something he inherited. We could use more people like Gangwish in the locker room. Walk-ons that start?? No thank you. Would much rather have another version of Freedom except as a junior. But since the previous staff neglected their recruiting duties to several positions we now start a Freshamn DE who was a TE last year and Senior walk on.
  14. I seriously don't understand the love affair for Scott Frost. If he wasn't from Nebraska would anyone even know who is he??
  15. This. Unfortunately coaches often say this, but don't ever actually mean it. Ok tell me what the strengths are for this offense? It's definitely not run blocking
  16. And who do you recommend putting in there. Hard to run anywhere when there isn't any holes
  17. Yup and we aren't Ohio State and will never get the kind of recruits Ohio State does. So not a great comparison
  18. Does Bando get his job back when both he and Weber are healthy??
  19. Not to sound like a Debbie downer or anything but have you seen him throw the ball the past two games. He needs at least 10 carries a game....He's not a pocket passer and never will be As much as this is true, I don't want to have to finish the season with our backup QB. We don't have the weapons to go down to a place like Manhattan, KS and face a top 20 team on the road with our third string QB. We don't have a Berringer as a backup. Well who ever has a Berringer as a backup? And we don't have to go to Manhattan and play. We are going to the likes of Rutgers, Minnesota, and Purdue. I love Tommy as a leader but I feel if we had to play our backup QB if would force us to use the ground game more on 1st and 2nd down which would help our offense and defense immensely as we wouldn't have to worry about going a 3 and out on three straight passes.

  21. Competition doesn't look great but still putting up video game numbers
