  1. Here's another article where he doesn't say the University of Nebraska by name, he says "the school he is committed to" I don't know what that is supposed to mean but I find it interesting. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17643940/les-miles-plans-coach-again-following-firing-lsu-tigers This will be Miles' first unscheduled fall weekend off in decades, and he said he isn't sure what he will do. His oldest son, Manny, is a walk-on quarterback atNorth Carolina, and Miles suggested he might make an impromptu trip to see the Tar Heels visit Florida State on Saturday. "I think I'll see if my son can arrange a ticket," Miles said. "I can tell you one thing, I'm going to be rooting for the LSU Tigers, I'm going to be rooting for the Tar Heels, I'm going to be rooting for the Cowboys, and I'm going to be rooting for Michigan. "And then when Ben [his youngest son, a Nebraska commit] ends up at the school that he's committed to, then I'm going to root for them. It's just the way it is."
  2. Didn't see this posted anywhere. Great interview with Tommy- hope he continues to get spotlight as we keep winning! http://jimrome.com/2016/09/21/tommy-armstrong-jr/
  3. Awesome. Welcome to the program, Deiontae. Can't wait to watch you ball out in the future!
  4. I'll put this in here instead of starting a new thread, but my buddy and I who are UNL fans are coming to town. I've been before to Lincoln but never to Omaha, where we will be staying tonight and Thursday. Does anyone have any suggestions on good places to eat/see/things to do while in Omaha before making the drive to Lincoln Friday morning? Our plan was to hit the zoo Thursday morning and then come back and head to Upstream Brewery in Old Market (were staying at the Courtyard in the Old Market) but we don't really have any idea on where to go out or where to eat or if there's anything worth going out of our way to see/try in Omaha while we are there. We're both 24 year old guys if that helps. Thanks!
  5. tag @edwardjones and @espncfb using #WeekdayWalkthrough and Mike will potentially answer them (not sure how though)
  6. this is not a knock on this kid but I hope we'd get Rahyme over him
  7. I had no idea this existed (probably because I'm out of state) but when Nebraska records a sack in a game Big Mac's in Omaha/Lincoln/North Platte/surrounding locations are buy one get one free the following day. Hope to eat a couple of Big Mac's on Sunday!
  8. I'm not even an alumnus or a student of UNL and I already can't focus at work I'm so hyped up for this game Saturday. Flying out Wednesday night direct from Charlotte into Omaha with my buddy and giving him the full UNL experience. Side note- if anyone wants to open up a tailgate to two out of staters let me know. Going to my brother's fraternity tailgate as of now but not sure how long we can hang anymore
  9. https://www.landof10.com/nebraska/in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time-safety-kieron-williams-becomes-nebraskas-best-surprise "When Nebraska safety Kieron Williams arrived at his locker after Saturday’s game, he flipped out his iPhone and stared at the green message icon. Awaiting him were 128 text messages. “And that was just text messages,” he said, scrolling through his phone. “That’s not even Twitter. Crazy, man.” After two games, Williams has become Nebraska’s best surprise. He leads the team in tackles (15) and is tied with senior safety Nate Gerry for interceptions (two). Last season as a sophomore, Williams accounted for just seven tackles in 13 games. And now he’s scrolling through 128 texts of congratulations on a 52-17 win. “It’s just a blessing to go out and play the game that you love,” Williams said.'
