  1. OH come on CM....profane is what Bo is best at, can I direct you at his exit speech, perhaps his hat swipe at the official. Look, Bo could have been let go on his record alone, he did not have to add to it.
  2. ...and therein lies the root of your problem with comprehension. Don't take his soundbyte out of context. Listen, and understand, the dialogue from the very beginning, including the words that followed his alleged "dare" Bo was tired of being asked about the same thing multiple times, a "timetable" or "coaching status" He was not asked about the team or the game, but rather he was asked about something that was not his decision and out of his control, and he told them so, but they kept asking. So he made a kind of fatalistic statement, not a dare. You're welcome. I have no problem with comprehension, Bo knew exactly what he was saying and how it would be perceived. That was on instance of Bo shooting his mouth off.
  3. This has been a favorite topic of mine since Riker started at Purdue. My thoughts are hell yes we need a backup. Either POB or TA would be fine with me. After TA is gone, however, we need a replacement.
  4. No way was Callahan a better recruiter, individually or organizationally, than Frank and Bo (and likely not Mike either). John Blake, scumbag that he is, was the main catalyst for that '05 class. Other than that one, which was inflated by its sheer size and unbalanced in actual composition, Callahan's recruiting was only on par with what the other coaches have accomplished. I'd rank it: Solich Pelini Riley Callahan. Solich Riley Callahan Pelini worst speaker in the history of Nebraska football. I suspect he was the lowest intelect as well.
  5. Bull. Eichorst has always been publicly complimentary and supportive of his coaches, after the seasons are over. If Eichorst had an agenda to fire Pelini, he would have done it after Bo dared him too after Iowa 2013. A. No Bo didn't dare him. That's a gross mischaracterization of Bo's exchange with that reporter. Bo said "the speculation had been a distraction, that he did not apologize for anything his team or coaches had done because he was proud of their performance, and said if they want to fire him, that wouldn't change how and why he felt proud of his guys." Go back and watch the PC. The "dared to fire him" was an invented narrative designed as click bait.B. Eichorst wanted to fire him in '13. Hell, he was hired for that purpose. but TO and some regents got directly intervened to delay that. C. Eichorst was only here for one post season with Bo and his letter (not interview) in support of Bo was about as bland and lawyerly as it gets. The guy is two faced. You can agree with and support his decisions but you should acknowledge that basic fact. He changed his policy about in season support when it benefited him. He either lied in his PC about why Bo was fired or he's lying now. The man is a liar. OH MAN CM you need a comprehension test. I heard BO dare the NU to fire him on VID. You have a hearing problem. Oh man RO, your hearing/comprehension is as bad as your ability to post with quotes Sorry you disapprove of my Win 10 os which makes this format look like crap. I agree its not the best. This forum is the only place it happens but it is difficult. Now about CM and his hearing problem. I have made an appt down on O st for you and CM to get your hearing checked. about 3.5 into it. Thank god we dont have to listen to his profanity laced outbursts anymore. Of course we know he was pimped by Harv and Shawn.

  7. The underlined is a statement reportedly made by Riley, that is not what he said. However reading the rest of your post I can see where you problem is. You need to listen more closely especially if you want to report said words as facts.
  8. blah blah blah Its way to early to predict anything..
  9. UCLA was not a good rush defensive team,. Period!
  10. The stars may lie but the numbers never do.....Many of Bo's stars never made it the field.
  11. Bo liked stars but he liked his hunches better. Callahan was the best recruiter we have had after Tom left. We shall have to wait and see on Riley, but the pantry was ultimately bare for him. Like... This isn't remotely true. Stop repeating the idea that the "pantry is bare." What an appalling insult to guys like TA, Collins, Westy, Gerry, Reilly, etc. So many good guys thrown under the bus to justify a .500 coach registering essentially a .500 season. You listed guys that are starting, how about listing their backups? It has been stated many times by the media and coaches that we are short on bodies. I honestly think you don't pay attention to half the sh#t you argue about. If you did, you wouldn't be wrong so many times. One of the positions that was supposedly very thin going into the season was linebacker. What position group arguably performed the best this season? Other than WR, the linebackers. Despite the notion that they were very thin on both talent and depth. Why? Because that is arguably the best coached group on the team. Coaching does matter. talent doesnt hurt either
  12. Thats why we watch the games....the eggspurts are always wrong.
  13. That's what I thought too. Many of the starters on the D were developed as non drafted free agents.
  14. If we had average, we would have won at least 3 more games than we did.
  15. So very true. That Iowa is still a real head banger - and a Not when you consider the other bad decisions TA made during the year in very critical situations. In the Iowa debacle he locked onto that receiver and would have thrown to him no matter what, somewhat like Jamaal Lord did in the Texas game a milliion years ago. We need an upgrade in QB, we have played 7 years with the second team starting.
  16. You cant go wrong with bigger corners...look at what is happening in the NFL. If you don't improve the quality of the players how are you going to get better? Every Riley hater points out our pass defense and snickers....cant have it both ways.
  17. Not academic grades from what I saw.
  18. RENTON – The Seahawks added an intriguing cornerback prospect to their practice squad on Thursday, signing former second-round pick Stanley Jean-Baptiste. Listed at 6 foot 3 and 218 pounds, the 25-year-old Jean-Baptiste has the size that Seattle likes in its cornerbacks. Jean-Baptiste was drafted 58th overall by New Orleans in 2014 but played sparingly as a rookie, appearing in only four games. He was waived before the start of the season, went unclaimed and ended up on the Lions' practice squad. Detroit released him earlier this week. This story from The Times-Picayune in New Orleans includes quotes from Saints coach Sean Payton that indicated the decision to part ways with Jean-Baptiste was about his lack of development. The story also noted that Jean-Baptiste was considered a raw prospect because he began his college career as a wide receiver, though he played cornerback during his final three seasons at Nebraska. The Seahawks had an opening on their 10-member practice squad, which is now full with the addition of Jean-Baptiste.
  19. I agree. It's the tools used by the athletic trainers and only part of the equation. The other part of the equation... determining the football IQ and mental aspects of players is up to... The coaches. Which brings us right back to square one. The coaches need to be talented at recruiting and player development and winning football games. They need to deliver. yup, and i don't see Riley and his 2nd tier staff doing this very well....... ummmm take your head out of the sand. I know Riley and his staff have more knowledge of recruiting than anyone on this board.
  20. Did you miss those 20 some odd turnovers by the QB's? No running back can cover that kind of turnover ratio.
  21. What kid doesn't want to go to a bowl. Must be something wrong with him.
  22. Herman signed on with Houston for $3M a year for 5 years. My guess is Houston is the next power 5 team. I would love to see the SEC widen its footprint in Texas by adding Houston. Man it would be a kick to the nuts for UT. 3 mill a year for an unproven coach? Did they redo his package from last year when they hired him?
