  2. http://georgia.scout.com/2/527035.html http://recruiting.scout.com/2/526945.html well i guess we did just offer him, answering my own question but looks like the competition may be tougher than i thought. "having replaced current Missouri Tiger quarterback Chase Patton in 04" Sounds like if we do get some interest from him he will at least visit... which is a plus.
  3. well thats strange i thought i had heard there were no good QBs left would be a nice get, but there is some tough competition there. Too bad we couldnt have been giving this kid some love before and got him to the spring game. Maybe he will come here the first weekend of november to watch us kick the $@ out of Mizzou. So did we just now offer him? i am wondering if we will see a few more QBs popping up with offers since a few that we had offered before have committed elsewhere.
  4. I LIKE IT! Get us out to the east coast and let some of those kids see the big red machine!
  5. I know i saw some of it on a 2005-06 season highlight video. i think it was on Youtube actually.
  6. I think we would have heard more about it if it was an official jersey change, i bet its just a throwback replica... the ones we have now are pretty much my favorite ones we have had. The 02's stripes down the side... *shakes head in disgrace* I dont mind stripes down the side, but those were overkill... sheesh
  7. who was bashing Ljax? seemed to me most people around here had a rather sympathetic attitude and wished him well...
  8. Are we forgetting about Herian? Certainly not... but we havn't seen him play a real game for a long time, and i dont see Mueller as the same receiving threat as Herian ONCE was, im not saying he wont be as good or better than he was.....but with mueller if he can catch thats great but herian had some wheels, makes it a lot easier to spread that Defense out when they have to worry about that deep ball down the middle. Of course its all speculation so we shall see how it unfolds. I think there is one thing that is a threat though... our solid LB corps should be a threat to pretty much everyone we play.... Octavien at full speed colliding with a 6'3" 180lb WR coming through the middle, let me rephrase... Octavien RUNNING THROUGH a 6'3" 180 lb WR coming through the middle...
  9. also would love to see a Receiving threat at TE! that could blow this offense wide open... again it comes back to the o-line, we dont want to have to use our TE for blocking every play so he can help open the field up... oh yeah... almost forgot about the LB's! Yes we are stacked, we will be fresh and fast all game long.... and i think the biggest difference is the SWAGGER... these guys got that swagger back, which helps keep everyone else goin.
  10. Well as it appears, Jackson may be reconsidering, and thinking about staying here. http://nebraska.rivals.com/
  11. cmon.... there will be a lot of those guys. But the first guy that came to my mind??? Mckeon. He was pumped every play, if he wasnt the first to the ball he would be the first to chest bump the guy who was.... he was a spark plug last year. mr ginseng.
  12. I'm not gonna lie. This is just what the doctor ordered. I have been getting a little antsy for some good news on the recruiting front because i was getting a little discouraged. This might hold me over for awhile. too bad he couldnt have been around for the Spring Game. Go get this one boys...
  13. not only that, he isn't qualified yet. I am almost positive he will make it here. But i thought spain would have made it last year. If we are including incoming recruits you would have to think Kenny Wilson will be a beast. He is huge and fast. Defense is tough.... Carriker is probably the bigger freak, but Steve-O will have a few more opportunities to show his freakishness. Toss UP Offense is tough, cuz there is no clear cut leader in certain positions, but i bet Cody Glenn is going to be a stud. i know i know..... i didn't stray to far from the norm...but its tough to argue with those choices
  14. oh wow, i didnt realize the Big 12 was an exception either. This seems like more of a possibility then. So he cant use the RS on the year he is sitting out, but could he use it one of the years he is eligible to play? not saying he would need to, i am just curious.
  15. just the fact that he will have to sit out 2 years if he transfers here makes me wonder if it would be something that would happen. But then again you have to think, if he isnt good enough to play now, and pry not next year, but has potential....maybe they could build him up to contend for a starting spot in 2 years. i dunno, its just hard to imagine anyone wanting to transfer somewhere and sit 2. Of course i dont know how good the kid really is so i dunno..
  16. http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2006/0...74926115459.txt I dont know if anyone else caught this yesterday, but according to this article Our coaches think he is fine, so i am going to believe them.
  17. havnt heard of anyone myelf, might want to direct this question to the Recruiting forum. here is a thread talking about those recruits in attendance. http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.ph...?showtopic=7747 there were over 100 recruits there from what i have heard from a couple sources.
  18. I have a LJ highlight video on my computer, i have to bust it out every once in awhile. i was more impressed with his highlights than luckys. So anyways, i dont have audio on this computer so what is the score and time in the game. also who is backing up LJ for the white team? also again... beck not gonna play at all or is he backing up taylor?
  19. when you say they're.... you mean broderick hunter and wallace franklin??? edit - nm, just saw the franklin thread
  20. its tough to get frustrated at this point.... there could be some amazing QBs out there that are rated lower right now, they havnt even played their senior years yet. Also keep in mind they havnt even seen the huskers success in 06... which hopefully will turn some heads in our direction as the season progresses, think what those kids will think if we beat USC and TEXAS.
  21. "I just see a guy that has great energy and quickness and pass-receiving ability," Gruden said of Lucky. That is a promising quote...i knew he had quickness and energy, but i want to see a back that has some receiving ability on the field next year.... last year i think Lucky was just a bit nervous which is why he had some dropsies.
  22. well i'm assuming this was on an option play...... our defense is full of a bunch of B.A.M.F.'s in spring practice i can't wait to see what they do to opposing defense. but seriously, i just dont want to hear about any more surgeries!
  23. http://www.realfootball365.com/college/art...backs040506.php This is an article i ran into, not too much we dont know already, but still like reading about our huskers on different sites.
  24. me too... starting 9/2/06.... dont get me wrong, i love his intensity.... but the injuring people is what he needs to quit doing til then.... our RB's need to get as much out of this spring practice as possible. Anyways, the idea of octavien as a safety makes me cringe for those WR's jumping for the passes in the middle... but he is a bit too big i think, i would think it would be tougher for him to change direction for the little guys but i could be wrong. I just want him in the lb core so we dont need to worry about the ball making it to the secondary on the ground, or through the air (a 250 pound freight train moving at a 4.5 40 right into a QBs ribs. CRUNCH)
