  1. Speaking of Florida, I wonder how Nebraska football would look right now if we would’ve hired McElwain in ‘15
  2. I’ve said this before on a different post but I am willing to bet a mediocre Nebraska football program has a much larger economic impact then paying off the remainder of Riley’s contract.
  3. He’s always so positive and happy with how practice goes. Wish one of these times it would translate into a good start to finish thumping like the 2011 Michigan State game or the 2010 Missouri game. Feel like I haven’t seen a solid game since then (at least a conference/team with pulse).
  4. I wish we played like we had nothing to lose and blitzed a ton, press with Jones and let Stille tee off. But I think I’ll be disappointed and we will get shredded for 400 yards passing. Too many gaps on D to be aggressive they say....
  5. It’s pretty sad that this thread is far more interesting to me than the Purdue game threads.
  6. If Nebraska and others offer Frost a job at year end it’s really hard to imagine anything other than 1. He takes the Nebraska job 2. He stays at UCF It would be like him pouring gasoline on the already ablaze house that is Nebraska football with all of his college friends and role model TO asking for help to put out the fire. Strange things could happen but that would blow my mind that someone that went to UNL, won a title at UNL, is a native, has TO a role model and mentor would turn away and go to coach at Tennessee.
  7. A strong Nebraska football program has to have a major impact on the state’s and Lincoln’s economy. Look what Lebron did/does for Cleveland https://www.vox.com/2017/6/1/15724252/lebron-james-economic-impact-cleveland-miami I am not saying Frost is our Lebron but a solid coach that leads the program to titles would payoff economically exceedingly more than said salary even if it were $10M+ a year. Also think of the impact of going down the path we are going for the foreseeable future... Spend what is necessary and once you get the right guy make sure you keep him
  8. I want to see how they handle TCU, WV, and OKSt before I jump on that train. They still managed to pee down their leg and blow it against Iowa in typical CyClown fashion (I graduated from ISU - I am used to this sort of thing). Definite upgrade from where they were before though, that is obvious.
  9. If our secondary has a pulse I agree. If we play them like Arky State I think we get shredded
  10. Bielema or Miles would be more depressing for me. Campbell would be underwhelming, but he has done good things at ISU
  11. How about JimmyBuckets if that's taken try JimmyBuckets23.
  12. Yeah, I know what you meant -- I am just curious who would fit in that RB/Slot position he appears to lean on a lot in his offense.
  13. Name is way too long, please change to MNRed if available
  14. I agree, SF is going to say the right things. The Nebraska job isn't even open right now. It would be stupid to pack it in and not plan for a future at UCF. If the job were to open up at UNL and he takes it I am certain he can "keep the band together" just in Nebraska not Orlando.
  15. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-sp-scott-frost-nebraska-cornhuskers-ucf-20171019-story.html wants to keep the band together does not mean stay at UCF dude
  16. Maybe he's referencing the QB at Oregon in POBs class that decommitted and went to Oregon Terry Wilson?
  17. Scott Frost will have good ole fashioned fun running the offense through JD Spielman over the next couple years
  18. Hey Guys MR would really like to continue working at Nebraska he just needs 4 to 5 years to get it clicking. #no
  19. At least we will have speilman for the foreseeable future
  20. As much as I would love this -- has something like this ever happened, I.e. Offering an active coach mid season and them accepting?
