  1. Did Northwestern finish their facilities? Because before the last plan I saw theirs were worse than some HS I've seen. Great that they now have better facilities over the last year. What about the last 50 years?
  2. As long as Frost didn't run any tosses to the outside or naked bootlegs. (Bo's Big10 teams).
  3. are there inactive teams that can say they are in the 900 win club??
  4. Whatever year they lost to Wisconsin in the CCG. I was there so it made it worse. It's one thing when an Ohio st team destroys you by doing whatever they want because you can't stop the pass or the run. But when its a conference championship game and you get beat like drum and the other team runs one play for 98% of the game just opposite directions it is embarrassing. Never lost respect for a defensive coordinator faster than that.
  5. He went there to be closer to Wandale's mom
  6. I mean did they become all-conference and then get drafted? That's what I would call a miss. I guess its all in retrospect that if an instate kid snubs Nebraska but then doesn't amount to anything who cares? I grew up in IN and saw it a lot with IU basketball after Knight was fired losing top talent to other schools. But they go to schools like Mich st, Ohio st and Duke. Schools IU plays and you see it come back to bite them by missing out. Fant not only went to Iowa but he played well against Nebraska and got drafted. That's what you don't want to see.
  7. Can the people who always clamor for the in-state recruits fill me in on the top guys who have gone to other schools and had lots of success over say the last 10 years? I've never lived in NE so I don't much care where recruits live. The only guy I really remember over that time period is the TE who went to Iowa.
  8. maybe this should go out when players receive offers. That way they know its not just a stadium surrounded by corn.
  9. Everyone just calm down... next year is the year
  10. I don't remember if Matt Farniok was a physical specimen when he came in but I'm willing to bet a lot of that was good weight. I also don't know if Matt Farniok was doing everything that was asked of him. Maybe he liked lifting weights but hating doing the agility stuff. I add that because I'm guessing the next part will be how reaching 320 greatly affected his lateral movement and quickness.
  11. From posts I've read over the season it seems to me there are posters who think Duval is too focused on strength and not enough on speed. Which to me seems stupid. Just by getting stronger you will typically become faster (yes I know all about fast twitch and the like). Not like he is creating a bunch of bodybuilders who look like lumbering buffoons on the field. That being said I don't think he should be replaced. He's gotten guys stronger which helps with overall physicality and confidence.
  12. His friends call him that because his girlfriend has him "locked down"
  13. Yeah but did he score 6tds in one game at Polk High??? Al > Ted
  14. stupid joke referencing conversation earlier in the thread
  15. Oklahoma had worse then. He actually played there
  16. not the field. The turf. Love Soldier field. Started going to games every year from 86 to 2000.
  17. Soldier field would be cool but with the way everyone complains about Purdue's turf there is no way they would want the Huskers to play in Soldier Field. It's always really bad.
  18. I can't believe that what Suh did while at Nebraska hasn't gotten Avante Dickerson to commit yet.
  19. Seems weird but I followed my Dad to a HS who at the time my freshman year had the longest losing streak in the state of IN. My freshman year we probably had the best athletes of my 4 years. We didn't win a game my first two years and none of them were close. Finished my senior yeat 10-2 as conference champs. People were sick of losing and finally ready to put in the work. In college I didn't get to play on a good "Team" but our defense my last two years was top 20 in multiple categories and won a few games by out scoring the opposing offense. Sometimes the coaching is always there its just takes the right group of guys to say enough is enough.
  20. mmm. He has. Unfortunately I played on some really bad teams in HS and in College. I know what improvement looks like. The defense is SOOO much better. Statistically they might have only improved marginally but guys for the most part are playing harder and are in the right spots. They have tackled better and have shown toughness. Offensively they have shown flashes of what they can do when on the same page. Unfortunately they are inconsistent. I think the lightbulb went on for the guys on defense and that's why almost everyone is returning. Just need that to happen with the guys on offense
