People don't want to think about the atrocities that have happened in the past. I get that. People don't like war... Completely understandable. I can't however think of a better venue to honor those who sacrificed all. Everyone should HAVE to see it... Have to remember it. Our peaceful everyday lives weren't free. Those men paid for them for us. I think every citizen should be reminded occasionally.

You can have your opinion, several of my relatives fought for your right to it.

So many entitled kids forget that men died so they can have the freedom that they currently have. They can have a minute of my time any day of the week.

Freshman QB and plenty of green players on the field... I would expect some early time outs to have to be used. That said, I get your point and I think down the road you will see very little of that from a Frost coached team.

Smoking I can kind of understand. Kind of... Banning a legal substance like chewing tobacco is unnecessary. It does no harm to the person next to you. It would be no different than banning chewing gum, lip stick, or open toed sandals. The older I get the more unnecessary rules and laws I see... That may be why I like living in the middle of a corn field.

I think our running backs have a huge day. I have a hard time seeing us throw the ball a ton. Why give the next two opponents good film if you can run all over Akron? I also am not sure we see AM run a lot...especially with concerns at QB depth.

No Ill will for players that leave...unless they join Texas, Wisconsin, or Iowa. Then I'll hate them lol.

I think the 10% tends to make more "noise". I really think most Nebraska fans will barely remember the Gebbia transfer barring season ending injury to AM.

I'm convinced 10% of our fan base looks for ways to be mad and/or discredit our coach, whoever that coach may be. Good thing SF knew what he was getting into. I for one am happy that AM won and think the future looks bright! As far as I'm concerned, everything is going amazing and the season begins with a beat down of Akron in 4 days.

The coaching staff did want TG to push AM but they had no idea how AM would perform. A year off from football, an injury with question marks, a freshman new to the huge stage... Plenty of reasons he could have failed and in turn handed the reigns to TG. You don't get half the reps at fall camp if the coaching staff doesn't give serious consideration to you being the guy.

If AM hadn't performed well or had shown typical freshman characteristics, Gebbia would have absolutely started. The reality is AM did perform as good or better than Gebbia and has more of the athletic fit that this offense wants. What your suggesting is ridiculous and that the entire staff basically just used the young man. TG had his shot but that shot was at least partially dependent on AM failing. Thankfully for Husker Nation, that didn't happen.

I'm sure they produce plenty of talented kids there but the reality is we recruited kids for something that we are no longer doing. No reason for our fan base to burn any bridges. KJJ isn't speaking for the Calabasas team as a whole- I'm guessing they are pretty embarrassed by him.

I wasn't about to let my wife plan a fall wedding... Husker football and hunting seasons mixed with anniversaries isn't a good mix for this guy. My wedding was in March.
