  1. Coaches getting paid 5 mil a year in an industry with insanely high turnover, usually don’t purposely put out their worst players just because they are holding a grudge. I hope it was communicated to McQuitty, because there is 100% a reason he wasn’t playing, and it wasn’t because Frost didn’t like him.
  2. 4 hour lines in minority communities, 0 min lines in white communities. That effectively prevents people in minority communities from voting. People have jobs, kids, a life - so no, not everyone can vote if its necessary they wait in line for 4 hours. If every communities voting line looked like the line in the white community, then you would have a point that everyone could vote. This is pretty simple stuff to understand...
  3. I wouldn't even put a size or production number on it. Manning has to take the top off the defense this year. If he can stretch the field like Tre'Quan Smith (He doesn't need to be as productive as him), and block like Tre'Quan Smith - we will be in an excellent spot. We don't need an elite WR for Frost's offense to work, we just need each piece of the machine doing their job and working adequately.
  4. Stan averaged 96 yards a game (across 6 games) against top 20 teams his JR and SR years. He did that with Tanner Lee and a true Freshman Adrian Martinez throwing to him. If Manning and Betts are as good as Stan we would be more than fine.
  5. In today's world there always has to be a winner and loser - but I agree completely, I think this could benefit all parties.
  6. Just wear a mask doofus. Regardless of covid, if he is visiting a medical supply company he should be wearing PPE.
  7. 69k likes, 90k responses - Trump got ratio'd. Amazing considering the Russian bots.
  8. The quotes were more so about the post saying he had to be pushed into football, and he wanted to play lax out of HS - which wasn't the case.
  9. "I just love football and can't get enough of it," Spielman said. "I realized that I can't imagine being done with the sport after high school, so I'm doing everything I can to reach the next level." "The scholarship is still there, but they understand right now that I'm focused on the football recruiting process," Spielman said. "My dad and I had a talk while I was deciding on the lacrosse scholarship. He asked me, 'If a Division I college football opportunity comes up, would you take it over lacrosse?' I already knew the answer. Football comes first." Too much speculation in your post for my taste. Maybe I'm wrong and he wasn't a great teammate. But from what I saw on the field, he gave his all, took some brutal hits in the process, and always got back up and managed to make another great play. From my view he repped the N well on and off the field. Far be it from me to question the kid as a teammate and his love of the game. At the end of the day if his heart and head are no longer at Nebraska - he absolutely should transfer.
  10. JD never quit on his teammates during the season, he was an absolute warrior the past 3 seasons. Also, back when I played we supported each other like family, if JD's head and soul is gonna be right somewhere else, there isn't a coach and player in that locker room that will feel like JD quit on them.
  11. If culture was truly a main issue (as its been vocalized to the fans, many times over the past 2 years), then this could be a push in the right direction. I don't want to hear the word culture in terms of an excuse ever again though, the bad blood has to have been purged by now.
  12. Agreed, heck of a football player but probably best for him and us that we close the book on this one. Excited for the new guys and Wandale to have a chance at filling that production.
  13. Scranton Joe vs Bunker b!^@h - in the fight of the century.
  14. Two things, if he is gay, I could care less - I care how he's treated the gay community as a politician. And two, how much you want to bet if this is true, Russia knew about it...
  15. Last year's Iowa game was so painful. 94 yards of total offense on 39 pass/run attempts for Martinez. McCaffery was at 43 yards on 2 pass/run attempts (yes, one was a trick play). I have no idea if Luke would have done anything, but at that point we just needed to try it because it was painfully obvious Martinez wasn't gonna be effective.
  16. Take their badges and their pensions and tell them to not let the door hit them on the way out...
  17. I honestly can't believe he said a black man who got choked out by police 10 days ago, is up in heaven marveling about Trump's great job numbers. I have nothing left to say, just f#&%ing vote.
  18. Look I agree, that's what he should have done. But you can be less guilty as other parties involved. Speaking up against and physically removing an officer 20 years his superior is what he should have done, but again as rookie, in the moment, that's not necessarily an easy thing to do. I agree with @knapplc, he seems like a prime candidate to testify against the others.
  19. Anyone read about this cop, Thomas Lane? Arrested in the George Floyd murder. Involved with the community, a rookie cop, no complaints against him thus far - asked Chauvin (20 years more on the force) three times to reposition the victim. I'm feeling like he shouldn't be lumped in with the other 3....
  20. Worst thing about this isn't even the fact she disagrees with KD and Lebron. It's that she straight up doesn't think they should voice an opinion. How un-American is that? I don't see many people saying "Shut up and throw the ball, Brees", but I do see a lot of people saying his Black teammates need to talk to him and educate him on what the kneeling actually means to them.
  21. I hope we as a nation can make it known through voting, that not only do we not want Trump as president, but running someone like him again would be suicide and an automatic loss in the general election.
