  1. Pass Rush will be key. Wisconsin got after O'Connell, he made mistakes. Iowa didn't, he picked them apart.
  2. But you live a state away. How would you possibly know someone connected to the program? The logistics don't make sense.
  3. Let me spell it out. If a coach keeps losing, to the point it’s detrimental to the program, you have to cut him loose despite where he played QB.
  4. Frost isn’t the program. Yes I want him to succeed, winning the next 4 would be best case scenario. But again Frost isn’t the program. At 4-8 or 3-9 this season, 4 years of failure would be hard to ignore. This thing belongs to all of us, it belongs to the fans who take time/money to support the team, it belongs to the current/former players who bled for this program, it belongs to the donors who spend huge chunks of money for all of us to to enjoy Husker Football. I know it’s uncomfortable but there may come a time we have to put Nebraska Football ahead of Scott Frost.
  5. Sip on 1620 this afternoon said Frost would be on the hot seat with a loss to Purdue FYI.
  6. I feel like I say this every week, but this could be the biggest game of the Frost era. Win and keep the bowl dream alive. Lose and you will be starring down 3-7 at the bye.
  7. Yep, they wanted to get him out before he saved his job. CFB is bizarre. If Frost does get a 5th year, Nebraska will appear to have monk like patience.
  8. Pretty wild, He's 2 points away from being 6-2 and they beat a decent Houston team to start the season. Checked the TT boards, looks like there is nothing more to it, he just wasn't winning enough for their taste. Losing to an average Kstate team looks like it was just the last straw.
  9. Yeah 8-4 is a fantasy. We went 3-5 and our other games were SDSU, C Michigan, Cincinatti, Wisconsin. 5-7 seems the most likely outcome.
  10. Didn't we also lose to 5 teams on our original schedule? So how would we be 8-4 when we literally lost to 5 of those teams last year?
  11. Yep, he was gifted a roster with a few NFL guys. And hit an absolute home run at the QB spot. I think he could still build a dang good offense being able to recruit Florida again, and playing in a lesser league. The formula just hasn't worked in the B1G.
  12. Idk, it would hardly be the first example of this. Some coaches have systems built for the group of 5 that they can't replicate at the P5. Sonny Dykes won at La Tech, Lost at Cal, winning at SMU. Taggert won at USF, Lost at FSU, Winning at FAU. Hoke won at Ball St, Lost at Michigan, Winning at SDSU.
  13. I also think there's a non-zero chance if we finish 5-7 or worse, Frost says no to staff changes, says this isn't working out and takes an open group of 5 gig in Florida (FIU or USF?). Just a thought.
  14. 5-7 I feel like he’s back. 4-8 or 3-9 he’s gone.
  15. Frost is 1-10 against Purdue, Wisconsin, OSU, Iowa. So we could not give up and still finish the year 3-9. Which would mean Frost is gone.
  16. Hasn’t be the greatest NFL coach. Really liked him as a college coach
  17. Matt Rhule might be on the hot seat soon….just sayin’
  18. Honestly I’m getting tired of people comparing Frost at his best to Pelini and Riley at their worst. Pelini was 4 points away from multiple conf titles. Riley beat a top 8 team and took #11 Wisconsin to OT at Camp Randall. Compare entire bodies of work.
  19. Did people really want to trade 9 wins for 4-5 wins with a couple close to wins? Bo played good teams close on occasion too. And even beat some. And Frost has had multiple 17+ point losses every season since he’s been coach, let’s not count our eggs before they hatch.
  20. Haha I was just gonna say. They meant win 8-9 and be competitive against good teams. Not go 4-8 and play a couple good teams close.
  21. I mean one loss is whatever. Losing to Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Purdue this year is would be where the rub is. You can’t consistently lose games to average/bad teams. And you definitely can’t, if you rarely/never upset good teams. 4 straight years of not finishing in the top half of a weak division is just not how you keep a job at a place like Nebraska.
  22. I think I understand the point you’re trying to make, do you think people want Frost fired because he lost once to Illinois?
