I think you are spot on here. We are creeping close to apathy, and one more bad hire will have it set in. Another bad hire and the day would come when the sellout streak ends, and after that a lot of people will stop caring.

You are definitely correct, it isn't an offensive system, and it might not magically fix things. But the fans would have great pride in a team that fought tooth and nail. A team that laid it all on the line. A team that cared as much as the fans do. I can take losing any day with a team that exhibits the characteristics I just described.

Well, first of all, I can't imagine he would just resign if asked and walk away from money. Second, we just got a bump of 25+ million from the BIG this year. That one year will pay for Bo, Mike, and three years of a new coach at 5 mil per year. We now get that every year moving forward. It is time to pony up and take a big picture view of where the money flow comes from. A good team brings in way more than a coach costs, so it is better to be good financially. A bad coach can cost the U dollars. If you want to win, act like it, and pay a good coach like a top ten team.

I'd rather it dry up, the California kids have proven to be not as tough minded as Texas and Midwestern kids. I would rather get back to hitting those aread hard, and then some coastal speed, particularly from FL and the N. East. The mindset is what is missing here, you haven't arrived already, you need to want to work to play.
