Huskerboard has doled out some great advice to me in the past, so I will ask again for some help. Hubby called and is on the road with our toddler son, who rides best when watching movies. The powercord on the laptop fizzled so he asked me if I could find out if he can stop at any Walmart and get a new powercord for the Toshiba. I can't get a conclusive answer using Google. They have a 15 hour drive so as you can imagine this a near emergency.

I am going with the droid x, purchased on-line from verizon for $125. Can I take this phone into a verizon store to have them set it up and activate it? Also, for the first droid I found a docking station with speakers in it, but the x won't fit. Has anyone seen any really cool assessories like a speaker/docking station combo for the droid x?

okay, I went down to verizon to finally make a decision but I left empty handed. They had saved an incredible for me but wanted 350-150 rebate for it so I told them I would pass right now. I am not messing with that crappy rebate thing because walmart sells the incredible for a flat $200 when you can get it. Also, a verizon rep called me a few weeks ago and said if I wanted to upgrade, they would give me $75 towards a new phone, but my local verizon store could not give it to me because they are not a "corporate store". How can they not be a corporate store? I am so confused

If you could wait, I bet the Incredible drops in price with the release of the Droid X. This is why I am so frustrated- I have been following the incredible since April as it alligned itself with my contract being up. Now, there's already a new one-AAHHHH

I wondered this, too. I don't know if it will be good or bad. On one hand we get to play teams that, like us, didn't have a chance to play/practice outside. That is a big downfall of being a northern team; you seldom get to practice outside before your first series(usually against a well practiced southern team). On the other hand we don't get travel down South to play our conference games either and all of them all likely to be cold and/or windy. As far as fans go, there is a number of die hard baseball fans that can tell you the lineup whether the Huskers are good or not. But IMO most fans love 'em when they are doing well and are slightly apathetic when things are not looking good.

Were you one of the ones she PM'd? Yeah. First she sent a friend request, then she sent a pm with a really nasty message. It kind of spooked me because I wasn't sure how my privacy settings were set- like maybe she could send a friend request to my daughter and husband, and they probably would accept because she is from Omaha.

Anyone think that Texas wanted us to jump ship and maybe a few other schools too so they could ride the B12 welfare system all the while getting their own revenue from Bevo network? Then they can pick whatever conference that will have them and their tv baggage.

He's entitled to his opinion. I am trying to patient with Husker fans that are not supportive. Some just don't like change and I think a few years into it they'll see it was for the better.

Thanks all- especially Rawhide-lol I remember driving to phoenix when I was very young and going through Salt River Canyon- and it scared the crap out of me. I don't have an issue with heights or anything, I just do not really like the thought of blowing a tire and rolling off the side of mountain. If it were just me-ok, but with the kids I am a little anxious. But I'll get new tires and give it a try.

Is this a real winding, no shoulder interstate? I really don't like to drive when there is cliffs and such, but I really want to take my kids from Nebraska to Vegas in July. Anyone has anyone driven this stretch or is an alternative?
