You're alway going to have a last minute whatever the signing day is. It's a big decision for kids and I don't see why it would be benefitical to move up that day. Plus it helps to alleviate the boredom between the end of college football and the beginning of baseball.

Kansas can have this D-end.. I'm so tired of 18 year old kids thinking they need to be the ONLY recruit at their position and need to be promised playing time without ever proving anything on the practice field. Kids need to get back to learning that they need to EARN what they get. I don't have negitive feelings towards recruits that decommit. It is a hugh decision to make and they need to do what they believe is right using their immature and young brains. That being written, I do get a kick out of seeing Freeman sacked and I am sure it will be the same for Gabbert. Great to see Cody in Lincoln though.

Completely agree- but I would also add Potter and maybe Murillo Potter was a disappointment to you? He did finish 6th in tackles for the team. Potter had the same number of sacks and interceptions as Suh. He had 14 TFL's, only one less than Suh. Oh and he did block 3 kicks. Also remember that Suh's 2 INT's came off of Potter deflections. Potter had a really good year, as the entire D-line did. Whadda you think- of course Potter and Murrillo were pleasant surprises.

Yes- it is you. The broadcasting crew was horrible. As far as being too sensitive we have recruits listening. Seriously, did you have the volumn turned up? That broadcast would have driven a blind husker fan to commit suicide.

Thanks for posting this. I added a bit about Mr. Henery under the thank you thread, but he deserves his own thread as well as a scholly. I wish for Alex a scholorship and his share of the girls this next year. How come he was so easily overlooked in this game? Is that the plight of a kicker?

I don't think Bill is big on keeping in contact with former players. Don't really know and it's just a hunch. Can you think of one former player, college or pro, that has every credited him?

Noticed that they stopped talking speed every other word in the 4th quarter. Speed this and speed that got a little irritating. Also thought they left they game a little quickly. What, no post-game interviews? We had Judge Judy within two minutes of the final snap.

Yeah..Best Bowl game I've see so far. And great game by Clemson..Lot tougher than I expected...Seemed to bring out our best. Finally, our character come though the whole game. Great bowl game and a great way to start 2009.

Well I admit probably a non-issue, but since I have nothing new to think about today I will contribute. I think alot is going on, but it looks like maybe Tom would have stepped in and sent some bigger names. Or maybe he did and got those that did go, there. One could also argue that Henery is a big name, but probably not to the kids in the Jacksonville area.

HuskerTrucker you and I agree. I sort of felt bad for going against the Big 12, but not bad enough to want Mizzouri to win. I thought Northwestern played out their a$$es and looked better coached and prepared then all of the teams I have seen yet. I must be bi-polar because I relished the first quarter when Missouri looked like they were to be romped on, then I was wishing they put up a better image of the big-12 in the 2nd, then I wanted a tiger roasting in the 3rd, then etc... you get the point.
