  1. Who knows why it didn’t work out for him at Oregon, unless he didn’t fit into the last two coaches’ systems. But man he looks dangerous, and perhaps with Frost’s system, he would get playing time along with Mills and Washington if he is allowed to play.
  2. Apparently the two Burke High signees and Piper were also all planning to go elsewhere instead of the Corn.
  3. If he had the same desire and determination that Ozibo did, Bell would have been a much better player. But like many top Jucos and high schoolers, they don’t pan out for various reasons. Edit: Then we had Lamar Jackson, who due to poor coaching and bad development, almost didn’t pan out, but now in Frost’s system, he is looking to have a big senior season.
  4. Here is hoping if we still don’t quite match up against teams like Iowa and Wisconsin physically, this happens in year three, and our team speed starts taking a toll on those two opponents. Even starting next season, we may see the end of Iowa’s dominance over us, and in the coming years, we rarely see the Hawkeyes beating us. I also can see the Corn winning more than losing against the Badgers because of Nebraska’s team speed. But of course I am bias, so keep that in mind. GBR!!!
  5. I haven’t heard his name mentioned. What’s up with him?
  6. As a cancer survivor myself, I hope he recovers real soon. No fun at all.
  7. Let’s let the kid have his day in court. Yes this looks extremely bad and it all could be true, but he is innocent until proven guilty. What else can be said?
  8. He is now up to 260 and is testing well this winter, according to Hail Varsity. I expect to see him him on the field some next season. That gives us possibly two athletic TEs in the future when you add Hickman.
  9. We also have Miles Jones. That guy’s HC highlight video looks really good. If he gets healthy, he could also contribute.
  10. Very good pickup. I remember when many predicted that Frost couldn’t bring in home-run threats for his offense here.
  11. Now we will have to see is Fong makes a change to Kansas or he sticks to his N CB.
  12. Unless NC has the wow factor for him, and Mac Brown is a very good recruiter. Who knows. It appears we have no shot at him.
  13. The only possibility I could see — just a wild guess — is he doesn’t sign on Wednesday and does visit Lincoln first before he makes a decision. Of course I am wishful thinking.
  14. Greg Smith said he is visiting this weekend with his brother.
  15. We apparently are his last visit. Hopefully he gets a BIG WOW with his visit and signs with us.
  16. Hmmm, I find it hard to believe he would chose N if he hasn’t visited.
  17. Not offended, man. Just want to be able to correct my own reply, which needed a correction. It just better that I edit it, since it’s my quote. No big deal. Not losing any sleep. Thanks.
  18. Ok, I understand. KSU is the only power-five school he academically qualifies for to get admittance, and thus is the only one that will take him. But please, Mavric, just point out my incomplete comment in your reply, and if you want me to, I will correct it instead of you. Please.
  19. This can put you at a bit of a disadvantage when you just recently discovered some of these prospects without establishing a longer-term relationship. While it’s still no guarantee for success in recruiting, hopefully in the future they already have discovered and are establishing these relationships with diamonds in the rough that may end up getting rated much higher and more highly sought after once discovered.
  20. Apparently the only power five school that will take him. USC stopped contacting him, too.
  21. Then he may not be the same player if he no longer has that explosiveness. Tyjon Lindsay was not the same.
  22. Parker has to be really good athlete, besides being strong enough getting off blocks. He didn’t get 20 sacks for nothing. That is an amazing statistic. Thus, maybe he is more explosive than he appears on video. To get that many sacks and additional behind the line tackles, he has to be strong, quick and fast.
