  1. I believe that 15th ranked class was under Frost, but it didn’t last very long when three four-star recruits from Florida abruptly left the team that summer following signing day. That took a chunk out of that class. Looking back at it, that was a red flag something was rotten in Huskerville.
  2. Rhule and company are sure going after a lot of higher star players with a few diamonds in the rough. If DR commits, recruiting could really take off with a top 15 class or possibly top 10. It would be great if recruiting is upgraded like during the Callahan years, along with hopefully a great developer. I believe Frost had one top 15 class. Wasn’t that the year where three Florida four stars abruptly left Lincoln that summer following signing day? That really stung, and looking back that was a red flag that something with Frost was not right.
  3. More like if he visits March 24 the same time DR is there, and they are both blown away and spend time together. If he doesn’t visit perhaps not a chance.
  4. This maybe is true. That’s why Rhule and his uncle will need a very convincing sales funnel to get him here. It will be very challenging for sure. But so far from what I have seen, this may be the best recruiting coaching staff since Callahan’s — although we really won’t know that for sure until Rhule gets a couple of more classes behind him. But I feel good that Rhule and his energetic staff are keeping us as one of the front runners. Plus the family connections don’t hurt. All I can say is we are in it, when otherwise it would probably be impossible. But I won’t drink the Kool Aid.
  5. SouthLincoln, you yelled at me. I’m butthurt. I don’t think I will ever cope with life again. For the rest of my life l will sit on the couch and pout and twiddle my thumb. — Cornflake
  6. According to Hail Varsity, Alante Brown is no longer on the roster. More to come.
  7. You have some valued points. That’s where Rhule and his staff will have to step in and sell him the future of Nebraska football, such as there is a lot of potential at WR and a lot of heavy emphasis on improving the OL. And that Rhule and the OC have both coached the OL as assistants and that will be the foundation of the offense. Plus convincing Dylan he will have the best development program in the country with a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning program with maybe the best facilities in the country. And if he can clearly see Rhule’s vision for the future and is blown away by it, and he is blown away with the new facility, I see N in a strong position. So, yes, we are talking about future potential, whether Dylan believes that potential can be realized, and he wants to be a part of what he thinks will be a big turnaround. But I agree with you Rhule can’t sell the past but what can be in the future. Hopefully his dad sees Rhule’s vision, which could helped our chances. Thus it’s a matter of increasing the relationship with Dylan, create more interest, and then finally create the desire that N will be a great fit. If Rhule is able to make a very effective sales funnel, that could be the difference. From what I have seen so far, it appears N has the coaches who can achieve that, unlike the Frost staff. Challenging? Absolutely! Achievable? Definitely.
  8. The question I have is did he grow up being a Husker fan because of his dad? I know he once had committed to OSU, but wasn’t that partially because of the toxicity he may had seen with Frost? I just hope he has a stronger passion for Nebraska which brings him here.
  9. Frazier became the starter because Mike Grant, who I believed was his name, was ineffective. If Sims is productive he probably wouldn’t lose his starting position if he reaches his potential and because of his experience.
  10. It may come down to which team he has the most passion for. Hopefully with his dad and his uncle it’s N. But no one knows outside his immediate family what’s in his head. Of course it’s wishful thinking on my part.
  11. Interesting that his uncle can talk to him anytime he wants during the dead period. Will this give Nebraska the edge? It can’t hurt.
  12. Surprised Prime missed on this one. He also takes diamonds in the rough.
  13. If he comes, I hope he doesn’t take the offensive line recruits out for pizza.
  14. Hopefully he embraces the strength and conditioning program.
  15. Rhule and staff not impressed with the 2022 WR class?
  16. This makes me again want to compare ‘94 Nebraska to ‘94 Penn State. In the Orange Bowl I believed Nebraska beat the better team, Miami. The Hurricane had a crazy good D. Penn State’s win over Oregon wasn’t so impressive. Penn State had a great offense, but their D was average. I believe N’s D would had stopped Penn State enough in order for N to outscore them. My bias option.
  17. I think coach Prime is trying to create an entirely new team. Pretty radical. Will it work? Time will tell.
  18. Thompson surgery may set him behind Sims if anything. It may be an uphill battle depending on how Sims looks in the spring.
  19. They need to be developed. I’m optimistic this staff can achieve that versus the previous. But, yes, it’s not impossible we don’t get duped again. One guy pointed out that Carolina got better after Rhule was gone. But that may had happened if Rhule stayed. So who knows for sure.
  20. If he does commit to N, other teams will aggressively try to flip him, and some negative recruiting will take place.
