  1. Seems to happen when you bring back all the glory guys who are in their faces about tradition and winning. The current kids want to relive that for themselves and end up being so tight they lose for trying so hard to win. Not the entire diagnosis but I think this is happening to a greater extent than I'd want...
  2. If Rhule is truly playing a long game this season, I'll drop a game to teach kids how to be accountable vs. limping around at 4-8 end-of-year having taught Grant it's not okay to be loose but Sims it's just fine.
  3. That's the worst case scenario. Then he gets exposed against Michigan in a huge way. Sims is not the guy. He's really bad. He needs to be benched due to play and cultural accountability consistency.
  4. Easy to spot the issue. No Liewer at either U.
  5. Win a game against an FCS school next week and establish your word as worthless as you hold some accountable for on field performance but not the one that starts as the most important position on the field and has produced the most disastrous results. Maybe because the head man, who dictates culture, picked you as his guy. Sounds a lot like a scenario we just came from with Frost and 2AM. Like you, I hate typing this.
  6. With scenario A you lose games and propagate a culture of hypocrisy and contempt. With scenario B you might give the team energy through backing your word with action and establish a true precedent for players now and to come.
  7. How about we prioritize a culture of accountability consistent across the entire team? Grant fumbles - benched an entire game. Sims gives the ball away like Halloween candy - "we didn't even think about removing Sims."
  8. Wasn't he also one of the kids touted by the coaches, and his peers, as a leader? What kind of team do we have that the players called Captains, single digit'ers etc are some of the ones who cannot produce on the field?
  9. So we've devolved into making fun of top 20 teams that just beat us by three TDs.
  10. I'm concerned by the double standard and its team impact. Grant fumbles in practice and once in a game. Benched. Sims will give the other team the ball like he's being paid to do so...and Rhule stated in the post game he had zero, ZERO, thought of pulling him.
  11. Cannot be overstated - Sims was the pick this year. Just trust the evaluators for the next one?
  12. Satterfield working hard to make the podium top 3
  13. Rhule hand picked both Sims and Satterfield. Both respective fan bases for this two couldn't have them leave fast enough. Matt is now faces with making a difficult decision on Sims. When there's competency there, he can then see Satterfield more clearly for who he is or will be. With the O Line as bad as they are, and us losing Raiola to Georgia, when do we look elsewhere to O Line development?
  14. I learned there was a reason G Tech and South Carolina fans were ecstatic to get rid of Sims and Satterfield.
  15. I've thought through scenarios for this game to see how we win. I just don't think this team can put enough facets together to beat this Colorado team on the road for their first game of the season. They're riding a huge high, are healthy, have been practicing in that air...I'd be pleasantly surprised if we win.
  16. That's seven variables you outlined we have to do well, I assume, to win. Let's say they go five of seven and don't create turnovers and have some mental miscues. Do we still win? Our margin of error seems so small to win a game like this given the team's recent history and what we watched game 1.
  17. I spend a lot of time watching us lose while other teams play younger kids.
  18. Why is Nebraska plagued with the inability to get Freshman on the field at multiple positions? I don’t hear other programs using this crutch language.
  19. I could be more declarative than "suspect" if I were on prem. However, my suspiciousness is from looking at how we play. We actually huddle. Every time. And our ones go against ones. So you think the one D is going against a scout team O to mimic CU? You are just buying what Rhule says as "fast?"
  20. We haven't been practicing with this kind of pace because we ourselves don't run at this pace and opponent #1 didn't either. If you're speaking to this week we're turning it up in CU readiness, I don't see it as enough time. I don't think we'll see it the entire game, but when they do go fast I think we might look way out of sorts.
  21. What does the eye test say? Do you think our O Line holds against CU? Do you think our D holds against their athletes? Can our D Line get to, and bring down, Sanders? Can Sims decide to throw the ball to his team, even with Hunter locking one side of the field? Poise - CU fought through adversity, on the road, without an issue. When has Nebraska done that recently? Other than Special Teams, I don't see where we look good going into next Saturday. We might be able to win, but it's much more of a stacked deck now that we have the empirical data we have.
