  1. We have a penalty on the defensive side I’ve never heard of before. We have a TD taken off the board. Bad clock management. They're playing hard. I want this game.
  2. These threads bring out the best in the base... Over/Under on game time where a single player is both praised and slandered in this thread? From which side of the ball or position group?
  3. WR is a strength for Minny this year. Their QB is largely unproven but we need to get to him quickly to disrupt these plays.
  4. Coaching and development have been an achilles heel for executing and winning. What is refreshing is we keep attracting good talent despite years of poor results. Rhule is a different coach than Frost and Riley. I think he turns it around and is able to develop players coming from future “teens” class rankings.
  5. Satterfield has made several direct comments around Sims' improvement. He's bigger, more accurate, and seems to have a better command of the game vs. what they saw at G Tech. Talk is cheap, but people can improve as they mature. Check this one out. Some guy named Burrow. 6. Agreed. Also, if you watch some of the action clips from the "A Look N" series, some of the O Linemen look like they're still wearing stone shoes. With the current receiver challenges, it only further emphasizes our need to run the ball. It starts with the line, but yes, our receivers need to be exceptional here.
  7. Nebraska will be watching the TCU game. I hope CU shows out (a loss but covers) so our boys won't go in to Boulder thinking they've got an easy one. This year will be as much about these kids believing they are winners and staying hungry + together as execution.
  8. Can't tell you how many times I expected to beat Colorado to then be left disappointed. This started in 2001 culminating in the Frost failures to close out. I don't understand the people counting CU as an easy win for us.
  9. Scott Frost derivative shout out play. Swing pass the the QB for -2 yards.
  10. Losing to Iowa by 30, and Ohio State by 59, before laying an egg in the bowl game, seems to have some influence on perception.
  11. I don't see more than one guaranteed win this year. Highly likelies, sure. But even CU in Boulder doesn't give me much confidence it being their first home game. I want to see how these kids respond to adversity. And I need to see an O Line that is greatly improved. We would get excited for Frost's teams; a unit would look sharp or a player would. Turned out no facet was very good and you just had "barely serviceable" practice-stomping on "poor."
  12. Either four or five. I don't see the O-Line as vastly improved. Couple this with the receivers being huge question marks, I think the run game suffers and Sims is at risk.
  13. Change some Orange to Red and it's a familiar Nebraska story of an L that could easily have been a W.
  14. It was already easy enough to celebrate their losses. Would be great to see an 0-for season
  15. People are saying anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4. I think 5 wins this year.
  16. Looks like we traveled our award winning audio team for the Rhule interview. Coach nails it though.
  17. You believe Jesus wasn't real? You'd be in a vast minority of the world... This thread should be pinned as a quick reference guide to individuals' perspectives on other issues.
  18. What data backs your claim? Per capita or pure volume, leftists cities are the highest violent crime and gun violent.
  19. Why do they shoot up the workplace ever? Why do people commit murders? Is it difficult to comprehend walking up and not wanting to harm people that day, everyday?
  20. Good dismissal. Zeus didn't lay his life down for the sins of the world. And isn't real.
  21. Jesus. 2nd Person of the Trinity. One God. Three Persons. John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testifyconcerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 8 48 The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. 50 Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” 52 The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’ 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?” 54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’[a] 55 But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”[b] 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” 59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple. John 10 22 Then came the Festival of Dedication[b] at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
  22. P.69 is your foundation from where you're positions animate. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
