  1. That is a "oh man, I am going to be held accountable now" look if I ever saw one.
  2. This is the blame the victim tendency of our fanbase. FROST went over the head of Moos in trying to get the OU game cancelled. FROST remained silent when Moos was taking all of the heat and resigned. Who is the victim here again? I can tell you that Trev will not put up with one iota of these games from Frost. Frost tends to think he walks on water and is untouchable.....*Trev has entered the chat*.
  3. This pisses me off far more than having a few extra eyes watching a practice or practicing when told to stop by the NCAA for covid. Moos took the heat for this even though it was Frost all along who was going over Bill's head to get this game nixed. Frost was perfectly ok with Moos taking the heat and resigning. A true man would of held a conference and proclaimed to the world that it was his idea and that Moos had nothing to do with it and apologize for doing as much. Would that not be doing things "the right way/the Nebraska way"?
  4. That press conference with Trev and Frost looks like a dad explaining to his neighbor that his son broke his window and the son is kinda proud of it. Looking at the body language, Trev is livid. Frost just went from a hot seat to a fire seat.
  5. https://www.si.com/college/nebraska/football/nebraska-frost-reportedly-under-investigation-for-ncaa-violations "One possible penalty would be the suspension of Frost for an unknown number of games. The Huskers open the season Aug. 28 at Illinois."
  6. Are you freaking kidding me Frost?? If we have another 4-5 win season, Trev will have the easiest decision to make in his life.
  7. OU has a legit shot at winning a National Title this year. NU has a legit shot at going bowl-less for a 5th straight year. OU 73, NU 24.
  8. Now the ACC is involved? Sounds like a response by everyone to the SEC and ESPN trying to corner the entire market while simultaneously destroying their competition.
  9. We have a QB room? I thought it was just Adrian Martinez's apartment living room.
  10. Adrian better come out of the gates this season guns-a-blazing. We have invested pretty much everything into him the past 3 years and have nothing to show for it. I want Frost and Adrian to succeed, but if he starts to put the ball into our opponents hands 2-3 times a game, then it is time to look at alternatives or maybe even a transfer.
  11. I thought we were supposed to get a 30 for 30 for the 90s Huskers and then ESPN canceled it. ESPN is a gluten for giving NU the psych!
  12. Yep, let the truth come out and expose bad leadership. Something this nation has a current major problem in handling...
  13. What happened to that lawyer thread who has some 'big news' about NU which was bad news for the B1G to be announced today?
  14. Good point. How much money are the boosters burning every year to keep the streak going?? Could not that money be used for better amenities, seats, etc.? As pointed out in this Forbes article, our streak is safe and will never be broken: https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidching/2019/11/21/with-notre-dames-sellout-streak-over-no-football-program-will-ever-touch-nebraskas-remarkable-run/
  15. Trying to drive a (bigger) wedge between NU and the B1G? Wanting NU to run to the SEC in the near future? I smell ESPN money.
  16. When offered a 70 million a year deal you take it. You however do not say...."nah, we don't want to lose our 15 million in home game revenue from OOC games". This is an either or issue.
  17. I was not talking about the SEC. I am referring to the rumored deal between the PAC12, B1G and FOX in scheduling cross conference games to tie more meaning into the Rose Bowl.
  18. We get roughly 5 million per home game but still have to pay the opposing G5 team 1.1 or 1.2 million, so maybe we get 4.8 million for the game. Times that by 3 and you get 14.4 million. I don't think the conference is going to put up any kind of fight during the new TV contract renewal to keep the G5 games when each school will be bringing in 70-80+ million per year. The network will want the marquee match-ups for maximum amount of TV eyeball attraction every weekend and will therefore want all of our games to be in-house in the new mega conference. There is no way we squabble over 10-15 million in a 70+ million per year contract. Money is driving the boat and the money is coming from the TV networks and the TV networks want major big name match-ups to sell their product. I understand there are bad match-ups such as Rutgers vs. Oregon State, but thankfully those are not the only two teams that will play every weekend and there will be a major marquee match-up between a PAC12 and B1G team the three weekends that they will occur in the season. I am sure the people in charge of the scheduling will be sure to connect some big name schools for those three weekends.
  19. I could not agree with this more. Our concessions at Memorial are on par with most large high school's concessions. Our restrooms are on par with what is underneath an overpass. Completely remodel the concessions areas and make them more than just concrete and a garage door. Offer new types of food like BBQ, Shakes, and Rotisserie: Teardown the restrooms to the bedrock and then sanitize the bedrock with a flamethrower and rebuild them into this: 50 stalls with doors in each restroom area. Have fans pay $2 to use the restroom for upkeep, cleaning, and repairs. Have restroom staff guide in people to empty stalls to keep the flow moving (just like the self-checkout lanes).
  20. Not if we strike a deal with FOX to kick-in additional money for having a major prime-time game like Oregon vs. OSU, or NU vs. USC. They would be hitting multiple major TV markets across half the US after all. Would not get that same nationwide TV appeal with NU vs. Temple or Michigan vs. Tulane.
  21. Hold it there Buster. The landmasses of college football are about to shift in a major way. We just saw a massive seismic shift with OU ant TX. More is to follow soon. When the dust settles, I guarantee you college football will look nothing like it does now. There will most likely be 3 power conferences and everybody else looking in. The power conferences will want to keep all of their TV money in-house and we will have a large plethora of teams to play for free in our mega conferences. This may force the 'other' teams left outside to form their own 8 or 12 team tournament and crown their own 'champion' (just like the NIT in BB).
  22. No. The actor Brad Pitt portraying another person has more hatred of losing than our current football HC. I just cannot see TO or BD, or Bo making the opening remarks to a nearly empty room on tour as the current Nebraska football coach saying "gee, I guess we need to start winning hehe" after putting up three consecutive losing football seasons AT NEBRASKA.
  23. Put a glass dome over the entire stadium: Install these seats (in scarlet and cream of course with the N on the back where the eagle is): And Husker fans would gladly pay 30% more per ticket! Everyone wins! The fact that they have not changed the seating in the stadium since it was built is just sad. Unless someone does not show up in your row, you will be squished in like sardines in a row and even if you buy or bring a stadium cushioned seat, your a** will be flat as a brick, numb and in extreme pain by the time the game ends.
  24. One of the toughest sporting games I ever watched was losing to Bobby and the Seminoles in the 93 Orange Bowl which was our only loss that year and should of crowned us National Champions. RIP Bobby. That game was stolen from us by the refs more than any game I have ever seen to date. Seminoles clearly fumbled the ball on the 10 yard-line and we recovered. Seconds later without conferring with any other ref, the white hat declared 'no fumble' and the Noles threw the ball for a TD. The very first drive of the game, the Seminoles were struggling and were gifted the following penalties against NU...Roughing the passer, offsides, and a facemask (only one of the three which was warranted) which resulted in a Seminole TD. Re-watching the game again, it is very obvious the fix was in from the start.
