  1. Meanwhile 50+ teams ARE going to play in a bowl game. That is 50+ teams that still have their balls. So tired of the "we don't deserve a bowl game" defeatists. Or "why play a bowl game at all" defeatists. No one knows what the future holds, you take every opportunity as if it is your last. Do you honestly think Frost and his staff or even the players of this team think they could beat Army? They all knew this would most likely be another loss (making for a long off-season of doubt/criticism from the fans and media) and opted to tuck-tail and run. Most are clueless to the downward spiral this great state's football program has locked into since Scott/Moos took over. When it is finally realized by the majority, it will be too late. Don't worry, Scott and Moos will move to a tropical area and enjoy those 'hard earned' millions...
  2. Army would beat the crap out of us. But we should still accept their challenge. Some are saying the players have been quarantined since spring and want to see their families.....we can't schedule this game in early January?? Give the kids this week and next week off to be with family for the Holidays and then resume practice January 4th with the bowl game on January 8th? Is this too complicated to hash out?
  3. Spot on. The majority of Husker fans have sunken to the bottom of the Apathy Ocean and don't even realize it. Where is the fight? Where is the outrage? This team is a dumpster fire. Don't feed me the 'defense is good' BS...put them up against good teams like Clemson, Alabama, OSU, (heck any of the top 10 teams) and we will get blown out so fast that our heads will spin. We are not even in the same universe as those teams. We are struggling against teams like Illinois, Minnesota, and Rutgers! Players are booking it out of the program faster than they are coming in. Frost is content with blaming everyone else except himself. 2021 is going to unfortunately put this debate to bed.
  4. In my most sarcastic tone... Your right! Why would this team need more practice? We already turn the ball over and commit penalties more often than successful plays. Our special teams are the worst in the nation by far. Our running game is a joke. Our blocking game is a joke. We throw for tons of yards yet have hardly any points (50+ years streak of scoring at least 40+ points in at least one game every season ends this year!). We don't need any additional 'practices' to get better!
  5. Isn't that the point of all of this?
  6. Not going to an optional bowl game is absurd. The thought is not even in the mind of any AD or HC in FBS....except those teams with a break-out and Nebraska. We were kicking and screaming to have a season at the start of the year. We even went as far as to threaten lawsuits against the B1G. This resulted in our relationship with the conference being tossed into the gutter. At which we saw an uptick from the usual in horrific calls that killed many drives this season and handed us a horrible schedule having to play the two divisional winners right out of the gate. I know they are tired. I know this season has sucked. But you are a PLAYer because you want to PLAY. Refusing a 'bowl' game when we the fans have not seen one for 4 years is beyond unacceptable. It is looking like the players voted no...political move by Scott. Since Scott has yet to get to a bowl game after three years and I actually think no matter how much time you give him he would never get to a bowl game....the nickname of 'No-bowl Scott' is well deserved. We had Bo Knows. Then Smiley Riley. Now it is No-bowl Scott. Let this nickname be a stark reminder to the Frosty holdouts that we have not been to a bowl game with Scott and we never will. A feat accomplished by every HC at Nebraska dating back to Bill Jennings who did not go to a bowl game 5 years in a row. We are only two years away from that bar! The last time we only won 3 games in a season was Bill Jennings last year as HC in 1961.
  7. I learned that our real opponent is actually Scott Frost and his horrific play calling. RUN THE DAMN BALL AND WIN NEARLY EVERY TIME! EVEN WITH FOUR FREAKING TURNOVERS!
  8. So I suppose we have to go with yards per carry and yards per pass then for the tie breaker?
  9. Seeing now that it was reported they offered him 10 million a year. Dang. Urbs citing 'health problems' and turned it down. Now onto my second pick... A 30$ million IBM super computer. We will have a team of programmers in the sky box inputting plays through out the game by both teams and their relative success. Then the computer will relay the most viable plays to be successful out to a display screen (kinda like the picture cards with 4 pictures) that will tell the team what series of plays to go with next. Time for Nebraska to start thinking outside the box. Or inside the box as in this case it is a gigantic boxed computer.
  10. When did this happen? I am behind on such things. Have not been paying a whole lot of attention being a retired fan.
  11. The passing yards top the running yards ALL the years except 2015. Most people in the biz would call that a trend. I call that a slam dunk win.
  12. Whelp...a little research and I may have found the answer to my own question: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/urban-meyer-reportedly-remains-the-target-for-texas/ar-BB1bFCls https://larrybrownsports.com/college-football/urban-meyer-wife-shelley-austin-texas-rumor-house/568980 Still in the rumor phase, but Urban Meyer's wife checking out real estate in Austin is a pretty big flag on what is to come. Texas has endless oil cash to throw at Urban and could out pay any other school by a long shot.
  13. Strawman argument. lets post the rankings....never mind the yards. Rankings in what I have yet to figure out.... Average passing yards? Average Rushing yards? Or are they the overall rank? You can rank really high in a category if you rarely do it, and when you do, you do it very well. Lets drum-up the average passing yards per game for these same years and teams and average running yards per game as well. My argument will be a slam dunk win.
  14. 3-9. With Buffalo and Southern La. we know we have at least two wins. And Frost and co. will pull out one of our many close losses some how some way. I think the lucky B1G team to lose to us next season will beeee........Purdue.
  15. Please let it be Minnesota....please please please let it be Minnesota.
  16. "won a natty with his legs" Yea, I know. I watched the entire 1997 season live. I suppose that explains the 20 QB keeper plays Frost ran every game this year. Frost was a safety in the NFL....a position focused on what the QB is doing with the ball. Frost was the QB and WR coach at Oregon under Chip Kelly. Frost is a PASS FIRST and PASS LAST head coach. If you cannot see this, then it is time to get a prescription from the eye doctor.
  17. Telling Frost (a former QB) to run the ball the majority of the football game is like telling a bird to breath under water.
  18. Emphasis on the WAS. Oh, you know Urban Meyer...you speak with him directly? Some random fan on a message board is close friends with a college football genius millionaire? You know his thoughts? That he would never take another coaching job before the grave? Do you live inside Urban's head? Do you plan on moving into the real world any time soon? You cannot watch this video and not see the passion Urban Meyer STILL has for college football (interesting team to pick to analyze!):
  19. Lets play a game. I show you 10 post game Frost clips and you have to guess which games they belong to. Good luck!
  20. You know you are in a sh*t division when Iowa has the return talent lead.
  21. Cites "musical chairs" at running back. You could of played a giraffe at the RB position and I would not have noticed.
  22. At this rate, we will only have Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors returning next year.
  23. Lets play North Dakota State and show the world just how inept our coaches really are.
