  1. So are you guys saying that the big 10 does it right? Did TO and BD do it wrong since they had more players and looser requirements? I just fear the big 10 will have to have a lot of thing right and get lucky to have a champion again. By handicapping ourselves we are essentially decreasing our odds of becoming relevant.
  2. You know TO used a lot of "partial qualifiers" that were really good players on his best teams.
  3. One thing about the B1G that bothers me is the "loser" mentality compared to other conferences. The conference puts itself in a disadvantage where it is harder to compete. For example what Michigan did in baseball is considered a miracle due to the conference self appointed recruiting restrictions. Also most other conferences over-sign but the B1G restricts that as well, more conference games, higher academic requirements, etc all put every school in the B1G at a disadvantage. It seems the B1G thinks they are "too good" to do what everyone else is doing and makes it harder to compete. Even the big 10 network doesn't push for it's teams to get into the playoff when they have legitimate claim (PSU, WI, OSU have been passed by other teams with same losses by the committee and the B1G didn't put up much of a fight) like all the other networks do. It could be that the conference always wanted to go to the rose bowl as it's prime goal but I think the attitude needs to change if it wants to have long term success. The money is great for the schools but the self appointed restrictions will make winning championships even more difficult.
  4. Ummm, Meyer has had the most prolific offenses, a pro style would be a step back IMO. Pro style may be the way in the NFL but in college spread is easier to implement. I still think Day will do great but it's very unrealistic to think he'll have the same success as Meyer.
  5. I imagine the cost is well over 6 figures for them to come out... Hope it returns some positive gains this year!
  6. The way their year ended with the annihilation from auburn and losing 5 of their last 6 probably puts the dampers in peoples minds. Auburn called the dogs at half, they could have scored 100 if they wanted. They peaked in their win over ohio state.
  7. It looks like the current players look stronger than the players in the previous years. Maybe it's Josh Mitchell, he looks like weighs 155 lbs
  8. Yes, the combination of politics and medicine/pharma push for meds make most natural treaments less accessible while drugs/treatments with bad side effects are given. MJ is supposedly good for lowering pain and decreasing healing time. But anyways these kids have to get better at smoking incognito. If they're going to do it they need to be more discreet.
  9. Just so you guys know, weed may become legal eventually but it will likely never be allowed for players. It's a performance enhancing drug, as it decreases pain levels.
  10. He'll probably be suspended for non conference play.
  11. I'd like the team to handle the punishment. They should make training and practice a living hell for MO, maybe take away his locker and nice equipment until he earns the team trust again.
  12. isn't paraphernalia things like a pipe, bong, etc. It looks like no drugs were found which is good. Very minor issue, though the fact that he was likely smoking mj with all his other issues shows signs of questionable decision making. I don't think anything will come of it. Hope he channels all his issues into becoming a beast on the field. Sky's the limit for Mo, the only thing that can hold him back is himself
  13. So I'm going with a friend that lives in Denver. My brother and another friend want to come with but won't be sure they will be able to go for a few more weeks. Looks like tickets on stubhub are about 240 after fees. Should I buy a few or do you guys think they'll be lower in a few weeks. Prices seem a bit high, maybe we'll tailgate and watch the game near the stadium
  14. Anyone able to get tickets now. They only have club level seats. For 5 tickets it was $2325. That's more than I want to spend.
  15. I don't think programs have sustained success after Meyer leaves them. We'll see with Day.
  16. Damien Jackson is one scary mofo. Not only is he huge, his seal training means he knows he knows many ways to maim or kill!
  17. First Post, Saw this on YouTube and got excited about what Martinez and Frost can do. They appear to run a lot of the same plays/concepts and I think Martinez is just as skilled as Mariota but Oregon may have been more stacked at skill position than our current roster. I feel like NU is going to light up some defenses in the near future.
  18. Hi first time poster, I don't think Gameday is ideal until we show we can show up for a big game. We've seriously choked and been blown out every big game for a long time. FYI I was on Huskermax but left due to the insane amount of ads, and now they require you to disable adblock.
