  1. The US has 9 times the population as Canada. I guess that means per capita, they do worse than the US Germany would have the case to make not Canada.
  2. Who else here spends $288,000 every six months for their family of four? Heck these people wouldn’t even qualify for Biden stimulus checks if this were counted as income. I imagine our homeless population would love this type of pampering.
  3. Strawman is your go to phrase every single time someone on here shows you are wrong on something. So which is it, unnecessary risks caused 1/3 of Covid deaths or uninsured caused 1/3 of Covid deaths? Your article says uninsured, yet you now talk about unnecessary risks. Speaking of that, did you order anything from Amazon or eat some type of meat in March April May or June?
  4. And you only highlighted a portion. Your entire post reads that Amazon workers and meat packing plant workers were uninsured.
  5. Make sure and include the “uninsured” portion of that comment that was directed at Amazon and Meat packing plant employees. which remember that your whole article was about uninsurable causing 1/3 of Covid deaths.
  6. You said they don’t have health insurance. I clearly showed you they did. I don’t think any of your links suggest otherwise. In a previous post, you made it a point to call out these specific instances of no health insurance.
  7. Sorry, autocorrect. Dismissed the idea of inflation becoming an issue
  8. Well the last time he spoke, he basically dismissed drug idea inflation which helped cause the 10 year note rise. Didn’t catch it today, but he speaks, market tanks. Like clockwork.
  9. Taking care of our employees' health and wellness is a priority. That's why we offer medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage to all our employees, regardless of their level, tenure, or position. www.aboutamazon.com Benefits We are dedicated to providing our team members and their families with affordable health, life, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits. In fact, we require all regular, full-time team members who have completed 59 days of employment to have health care coverage through either the company-sponsored health plan or through a family member’s plan. This means that 100 percent of our eligible team members have access to health care coverage. www.tysonsustainability.com Comprehensive health insurance and benefits packages are offered to employees in recognition of the value employees bring to the company. These include 401(k) and pension plans, life insurance, and vision and dental care. Many locations provide on-site medical care and preventive health screenings. Smithfieldfoods.com On a side note, Covid-19 doesn’t care if you have health insurance or not. Behavior generally dictates whether someone gets infected or doesn’t, not whether you have insurance or not.
  10. Every time Powell opens up his moronic mouth, the market drops.
  11. Cars have killed more Americans that nuclear weapons, so have knives, hammers, and baseball bats. Why are you talking about nuclear weapons. Hand guns kill way more Americans than any assault weapons, yet those really aren’t talked about much at all. We already have limits on what type of weapons are allowed to be privately owned. The actual question is do people want to change the limit and when does that change infringe on the 2A. To me, any gun control legislation being talked about needs to be geared towards reducing future crimes/deaths. If legislation proposed would not have stopped these mass shootings, or make a dent in gun crime then the legislation is pointless.
  12. I don’t think she was either. She just wanted to get her one-liner in and move along.
  13. You must be looking in the wrong places.
  14. She actually didn’t. She said “this you”. Which would get a response of “yes” And the conversation then ends. Strange nuance
  15. We will have to wait and see if the shooter was inspired by Lauren Boebert before coming to that conclusion.
  16. And here I thought we could have a reasonable conversation about what changes in gun control legislation could result in less crime. I guess not.
  17. That’s True. Maybe Mrs. Hill should say it your way instead of the “This you” snark. People may respond better.
  18. What specific gun control laws do you want in place that currently are not?
  19. While Ms. Boebert clearly isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, what is Mrs. Jemele “I hate white people” Hill trying to say? You can only have compassion if you don’t own a gun? That’s like saying you can only have compassion for car crash victims if you don’t drive a car.

  21. While eliminating 1.4 million jobs. $15 may not be the correct number
  22. By my math, this works out to $72,000 per person at 1,200 people. I stay in hotel rooms quite a bit and that seems pretty expensive for 6 months. Possibly quite a bit of waste here unless my math is off or I’m missing a key detail.
  23. I already have proven it using back of the napkin math in an earlier post. You just are not accepting it. It actually is quite the argument to make. .9% of seniors are uninsured. (Age 65 and older) CDC Data 99.1% of seniors have health insurance. (Age 65 and older) CDC Data 80% of Covid deaths are in people aged 65 and older. CDC Data 99.1% of those would have had health insurance according to the CDC I don’t see how it’s possible for 33% of American Covid-19 deaths to be related to un-insured or underinsured people. Basic math tells a different story.
  24. While true, and I appreciate the biology lesson as I will be sure to let everyone else know also , this doesn’t correlate to the discussion.
  25. I agree here, but let’s not stop with that. Let’s look at every portion of government spending and get rid of the fraud, waste, and abuse. Let’s eliminate the needless end of year spending rush that government accounts make on unused fiscal year money. They do this in order to show they used their entire budget during a fiscal year so they get the same budget plus the increase the following year. Lots of waste there too.
