  1. Care to explain a little more. Match-up zone can mean several things depending on the system. You didn't provide much context to discern what you meant.
  2. Adam did not do well explaining the differences. It is very subtle and more perspective than significant changes.
  3. The campus is in BFE Snoozerville. It makes Lincoln look like the big city.
  4. Tell that to the person that provided the results. I'm going to trust the doctor that ran the program and his grad students.
  5. Asking why a fan is upset to lose is rhetorical. You may as well ask why water is wet.
  6. I don't know about Alabama being in the center of a big talent pool. Tuscaloosa is a dung pit. Money attracts talent to Alabama. A bunch of poor hicks would rather pay for a football stadium instead of fixing community projects like roads & bridges.
  7. Mills was never, unfortunately, the focus of our offense.
  8. I'm not sure the OL even knew where they were blocking. But watching his reads he only missed a couple of lanes. The patience issue was kind of overblown. The guy had no issues following blocking at his previous school and his ability to break tackles for YAC was never in question. The only real knock on him was something he corrected by his own homegrown method, carrying the football with him everywhere. He wasn't the only guy that had butterfingers at that time, because it was at the same time period we couldn't even consistently complete snaps.
  9. Sad debate. Yes, the rape statistics are alarming and consistent. Why would you defend rape??
  10. Who are you again? Oh yeah, a random guy on the internet.
  11. Can you imagine how intolerable Ohio State fans will be if they crush Clemson?
  12. Eight wins definitely was within reach. The air came out of the team's confidence beginning with game 1, struggling with South Alabama. It absolutely was shredded in front of a Game Day audience. And instead of improving, just kind of was stuck in the mud. The freshmen look promising, but that has been a regular motif since the decline.
  13. He certainly cannot manage talent at his current position. It really takes half a season to recognize guys like Mills or Ozigbo are the workhorses? Not a good look.
  14. It wasn't Frost that rejected him. That's been covered ad nauseum.
  15. Held, Ruud, and Dewitt were far shakier coaches than Walters. Verduzco somehow escapes criticism when QB development was said to be lacking. (Our backups were exaggerated to be ill prepared to play as an excuse to never bench Martinez.) Nobody really leaned on Tuioti for the defensive line regressing mid-season. If anyone had a target on their back it was Chinander. Early on it was Austin painted as a scapegoat. At this point nobody expects any replacements.
  16. Not from UNL, but yes. Why does that upset you? You realize your stink comes across as a little penis envy. Your argument that Martinez could not gain 30 pounds of lean muscle in one year was academically wrong. You are talking about a subject matter you are not an expert on. And now you want to double down with insults. You are immature. You're right. Eating as much as they put on the trays was easy. I'm sure the body wasn't absorbing it all. But in those days you forced yourself to eat, drink, and sleep on a schedule. Practices were very hot during three a days and you were training full time. I dropped a lot of water weight, too, and I know what it is like to suck down a gallon of water between practices on the orders of the A-T. I know what kidney stones are like from over training, too, and drinking water when its hard to swallow anymore is far better option. You push the envelope if you want to win.
  17. Wow, so much piss and vinegar. You really show how little you know with these comments. Training table after practice was targeted at 2,500 calories alone. I guess our team nutritionists did it wrong, too. I arrived on campus every day at 7 AM and film kept me there until around 9 PM. We had one scheduled lift session every day where the trainers set the lifts. If you wanted to specialize on anything then you went back. That's the difference between chumps and champs, put in the time or shut up. Sure sounds like what Frost is trying to restore.
  18. When you ate about 6K calories per day, the adequate rest was your overlooked component. Rest is the least respected aspect of training. It made me a believer. Unless I create circumstances to sleep an 8 hour night, it's not happening. I've always been about a 4-5 hour a night guy.
  19. Martinez scrambling into pressure was troubling. He should have been stepping under it. Sometimes he ran away from pressure which is just as bad of a choice. Vedral knew how to step under it, so I think it was a mental break on Adrian's part. But gosh darnit it was so repetitive! That alone is good reason to sub.
  20. You should understand that skin caliper measurements are hogwash. There are zero standards. Underwater weighing is more indicative of true lean BMI delta over time. And science wouldn't support your theory about the change being not lean muscle. Between the ten the year before and the twenty five in that period, my physical appearance made significant changes in a good way. The extra weight made a significant difference in running speed, agility, and control. Maybe your 25 pound gains were a different experience. BTW - Martinez getting hurt and his weight gain are not casually linked.
  21. Considering this was in my discipline field, you're wrong. I did underwater weighing and went from 8% to 7% with the gain. I don't know where you got your training, but I know where five years of undergraduate work went for myself. Maybe you didn't consider I'm a rather large person compared to the average Joe. 25 pounds for me isn't as substantial as compared to the average 5'7" male weighing 160 pounds.
  22. In one year I put on 25 pounds, lost 1% bmi (underwater weighing), and got much more athletic. You do this living in the weight room and allot actual8 hours of sleep. My diet didn't really change but that was doubling my normal sleep cycle. Don't underestimate what training can do.
  23. Or conflicting sources. https://www.foxsports.com/college-football/boxscore?id=31014 I found the issue. RTG is conventional QBR whereas the QBR used by ESPN is adjusted. So I was correct.
  24. So you are going to judge Vedral's first collegiate start at QB against one of the top B1G defenses against Martinez and his numbers against mainly powder puff competition? Gee whiz, Wally, you're being a little hard on the Beaver. Vedral had 110 QBR in that game. Martinez has a 35 QBR versus OSU, 68 versus Iowa, and 142 QBR against Wisconsin. So a cold set of conditions in his first start,a ducky position to be thrown into, didn't hinder him. I'd say Vedral's performance was in a good light even if they only scored 7.
