  1. And I am right! Name a better one in between! Hugs & kisses
  2. Is he not the best QB we've had since Tommy Armstrong? Ryker fyfe? Luke McCaffrey? He's the best since him. That is a fact. No debate. Tommy had 90 TDs. And over 10000 career yards. AM will not touch the TD number but he can get the yardage. He throws less picks, but fumbles more...his teams lose more, but he hasn't had a supporting cast like tommy did. It's all semantics.
  3. We are just going back and forth arguing different things. You're telling me he's better than tommy. I am not disagreeing with that. I am telling you AM is the best since Tommy. Which is absolutely a fact. Tommy was the most recent full-time starter, so its a fact he's the best since Tommy. If we were arguing who is better, there are layers to that...style, era, scheme. Keeping with the last 15 or so years...Runner-TM, thrower-Ganz/Taylor, dual threat-probably AM. No biggie, we're just arguing different things.
  4. I was just answering the actual question...best QB since? It's Tommy Armstrong. Regardless of personal feelings.
  5. Regardless of the metric, best QB since Armstrong. Tommys offenses scored...and scored in bunches. It was a team effort for sure...but we'd all give our left nut for Tommy's era offensive stats this year.
  6. Tommy Armstrong. Guy wasn't a world beater...threw too many picks, but he also took chances and had a cannon to back it up. Over 90 TDs accounted for and over 10000 yards from scrimmage in his career. And he was our last "winning" quarterback. AD needs over 2700 total yards this year and 37 total TDs to match Armstrong's 4 years. I liked Taylor, liked Armstrong and still like Adrian. They all brought something different to the table. Hopefully, this is the year we've been waiting for from him. He's got the ability.
  7. I think we've settled it. Day one of the new AD regime, frost will be fired. The new administration will base their decisions solely on the input of a select few on this board...from there, they will make a fantastic hire that will turn our program around, overnight. Making an historic riches to rags to riches story even more compelling...we will win the national championship over Alabama, by a final score of 84-2 (the new coach takes a safety at the end of the first half to avoid punting.) We will then go on to win every game played...ever...regardless of if we're actually playing in said game. We will never lose again. All of our recruiting classes will be #1 in the nation. Getting the top 25 overall recruits in each class, from now until the end of time. You did it guys! Take a bow, It's all because of you.
  8. Yes! Terribly unorganized! No one notable would ever come here. We'll have to drop to NAIA soon because of how bad our athletic department is!
  9. This move helps stabilize this program for the near future. Great hire
  10. This! Big time deal for the baseball program for sure. Good call @BigRedBuster But remember, nobody wants to come here...
  11. This one is hard for me. The guy can recruit. He has always had talent in the room. His development of said talent hasn't been outstanding but his 3 most talented backs have been with him for like a combined year and a half (Oz, Mo, Bell). Oz was already molded and needed only fine tuning, Mo was great but had off field issues, bell left after a cup of coffee. Mills came in and was highly recruited...but let's not forget, he was a B back at GT. That a glorified fullback. Vision was not required there. He struggled in that department. Then he recruited smaller guys, guys that were diamonds in the rough or guys that had serious injuries. In hopes that everyone mentioned above would pan out & he'd have time to develop them before having to use them. Flash forward to now, knowing how it all turned out. Held recruited high on potential and low on immediate readiness in the first few years...with the exceptions listed above. With all that said, he recruited his best back yet this year. A guy that has the flash and the polish. Ervin is ready to play and will do well this year. Morrison has the potential to do great things too, he has all the tools. Scott is a freak, but has vision issues as well. He's mills 2.0. fortunately for us, he's got time to figure that out. Yant is the wildcard. He's ozigbo. He's the bruiser with burst. He was a chunk, and now he's leaned way down. Good thing for us is he did it after his first year here...not before his last season. He was a gift. I'll always root for a kid like him. Held has a tough job, one he hasn't had a passing grade in for lots of reasons. He's got his best stable. He'll get his house in order. Keep in mind, the schematics of our offense have been pretty abysmal when it comes to RB production too.
  12. His replacement is already on staff.
  13. Great news for all parties involved
  14. A highly improbable scenario, indeed. If we're going to talk crazy, may as well be way off the reservation.
  15. I agree with your logic, but if recent history is any indication of future performance, I wouldn't count any of our games as W's until the final whistle blows. We haven't earned the benefit of the doubt back yet.
  16. We have 1 gimme on our schedule this year, 4 we should be favored, 2 pick Em's, 3 underdog, and two severe underdog. Schedule is brutal & we'll be improved and 6-6 or 7-5 at best. We could be 4-8 or 5-7 and be vastly improved from a talent standpoint. Frost won't be fired based upon this years performance, unless we go 3-9 or worse. Lay off the hard stuff & start smoking the peace pipe.
  17. Stewart would be great. I'd be fine with goetz as well. Didn't bring a lot to the conversation...just taking it all in.
  18. I thought Martinez, probably and jurgens...but I figured the two I mentioned were locks. As far as WRs go, maybe toure? Based on previous performance at a lower level? Maybe Austin Allen? He's gotten some hype.
  19. Good for JoJo. I see Taylor-Britt & Culp being on watchlists as well...any others we think will make a preseason list?
  20. Don't think news surprises anyone. Good info, though
  21. Cover 0 with one out wide. Our tight splits and I formation....leads to safeties coming down in the box. One out wide. 10 in tight. I've watched those games 100 times. Teams always had 8/9. Sometimes they brought 10 and that's when dr. Tom threw the PA pass to a wide open TE over the middle.
  22. Maybe I exaggerated about 11 in the box...but he routinely saw 8-9-10. I'm done arguing with you. It's going nowhere. You think AM blows, I don't. You think it's all his fault, I don't. Tommie Frazier supporting cast was vastly superior in every conceivable way. Frazier would be average in our current system and Adrian would be better on the 94-95 team.
