  1. Now he could load from the opposite side to work the complementary muscles. How about baskets of tennis balls into a truck!
  2. I’d think that we should be hearing something very soon. There was some speculation of an announcement today. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens over the weekend. Let’s get a really good one! Also, if you’re on a phone it might be your cellphone service causing that. It does it to me sometimes.
  3. Good point. There’s a lot to consider. I’m told that Riaola takes the responsibility seriously and is constantly working on improving his skill. He’ll likely continue doing so. The questions posed to him and others and their responses probably weighed quite a bit into Rhule’s decision.
  4. I wonder what the previous coach’s influences were. More than once Scott said that Raiola was coaching as he wanted. Raiola was said to be highly frustrated from the first phases of the season. Maybe Donovan wasn’t conducting his practices entirely how he’d like. Was that a factor… It seems that there’s much more to this story. Rhule wouldn’t retain Riaola if he didn’t think he was a coach that he could rely upon. And he wouldn’t keep him just to successfully recruit Donovan’s nephew.
  5. Very few parents would be inclined to agree to their son being recruited by a person that potentially strangled his wife and punched her in the temple with a closed fist. It’s too much of a risk. And too long of a wait for him to be cleared if the accusations aren’t true. The program needs to move on. Probably in the best interest of the Joseph family as well.
  6. And then there's this guy...I wonder if he's any relation!
  7. I'm optimistic. Lots of improvement over what Frost had and how he conducted business. A bunch of different things are going to be done differently to accomplish the mission. Coach Rhule is getting things done! We need to seize every opportunity to bring in good, contributing players now. Recruit and develop. Recruit and develop! As far as cleaning house, that's the way it's got to be. The program has been needing a reset. You've got to shake the whole thing up. Tony White is a real solid hire. Only a couple remaining slots to fill!
  8. White’s defense is aggressive. Speed is an important element. They’ll be keyed in and pursuing. It gives a variety of looks. That’d be the way I’d describe it.
  9. Coach Rhule must’ve concluded that there were several factors contributing to the offensive line’s poor performance. He’s confident enough in Raiola all things he’s taken into consideration. I’d say that with everything being addressed Rhule and other assistants with experience will be helping out developing players on the O-Line and to help Donovan improve as well.
  10. Don’t know that it warranted our consideration but a cool story no less!
  11. That's crazy! In the early 2000's I was in an establishment where a former defensive lineman's brother was. They were serving some beverages out of a water tank with ice in it. As I was behind a couple of women waiting the brother walked up and went in between them and I. I hesitated for a moment then came to his side, tapped him on the shoulder and said, I'm sorry I've been waiting behind these ladies. He gave me a disgusted look with his nose scrunched a little like who the hell do you think you are as though he was entitled to be there. What bugged me about it was how close he was to the women. I didn't appreciate the encroachment. Obviously the guy had no respect for personal space and believed he'd do what he wanted. He didn't say anything back. The doorman was a few yards from us. As he was moving behind us I said thank you sir. Once back at my table he and his group of guys were looking over at us laughing a little not in the least bit of a friendly way as he starred. One of my nephews, a niece and her husband were together with me at the time. They asked what was up with that. I told them that I'd tell them later. No big deal ignore them. In awhile we went to different area there where the band was playing. Later I was standing at the bar waiting. The big guy walked up there put his hands on the bar with his chest out, looked over a bit later and leaned back looking at me in a snobby perplexed way. I stepped back a little ways from the bar and offered my hand while I introduced myself. He seemed a bit confounded and reluctantly shook my hand. I complemented him on his business then waited. Bartender came up. I gestured to get him first then followed up by paying for his bourbon berry cocktail or whatever it was. Lol He took the drink, let out sort of sigh as he shook his head, turned and walked away. Fortunately nothing happened. His brother was a whole lot smarter and much more accomplished let's say. I know because I'd interacted with him a couple times at a gym. All business and not arrogant. Truth be know probably bailed his brother out financially a time or two.
  12. Who is going to be the Colorado WR’s coach? If not for recent developments and if Joseph weren’t retained, I could see a possibility of him and Sanders linking up there.
  13. Yes it does! And lots of baking soda and deodorizer.
  14. I once put a bag of popcorn in the microwave as I was leaving to run a short errand down the way. 25 00 instead of 2 50 makes for some nasty smoke I’m telling ya.
  15. A convenient means of not taking ownership of the choice. If he wants to pursue another opportunity or achieve a goal say it.
  16. You've been affected in a personal way. It's conflicting. On the one hand, this is a program that you love. On the other, it's disgusting knowing what was experienced and there not being different responses to it with respect to victims. Those who have experienced abuse themselves or have had a relationship with victims of abuse have a clearer perspective of how critical it is for these things to be acknowledged and addressed. As you've referenced, it can be particularly traumatic for children. It can and usually does have lasting affects. Through no fault of their own kids endure the consequences. Hopefully that isn't the case with the Joseph children. Our awareness is growing, insights are being gained and we're having more discussions nowadays than we ever have. That doesn't reconcile the past. We can do better moving forward. And we must.
  17. I don't know what to think. Did Raiola get a real shot in just one year? How about recruiting...It's it more about the horses than the trainer? What of strength and conditioning...How might that be factored in as (part) of their performance? Rhule must think that it's less about the coaching than other factors. Perhaps he can fine tune Riaola's coaching.
