I haven't heard Nebraska go after any of those wr's but I hope we add 1-2 wr's bc our wr room is shaky at best. Im glad our running back room is set with AG and AA coming back just need some blockers and playmaking wrs to help take the pressure off the qb.

Lmao. I know his commitment date but it seemed like we were the leaders when he decided to go into the portal but then we got Jeff Sims commitment and it went silent.

Well the o-line man from Florida is the transfer portal plus from Alabama as well that are really good. They do exist but we aren't even close to getting them.

I just thought it was a legit question and thought maybe the guys we thought we have in place or hired aren't that's all.

From what I read on his draft profile he as had trouble with quicker de. If you go look his draft profile up it will tell you how many sacks he allowed year by year and hurries. I don't remember the numbers off hand sorry. You can go to nfldraftbuzz.com and look his name up.

Im talking about his coaching hires. If everyone knows who he has filled his staff with why hasn't it become official yet?

If HC Matt Rhule already has filled all his positions how come it hasn't become official yet??? You would think there would be a press release on it. I don't understand the hold up.

Does anyone feel that MJ wr room underperformed last year? I ask bc other then Trey Palmer standing out there wasn't much production from that room. I know MJ had to deal with being the head coach but I thought their be way more standouts coming out of the wr room. MJ never got to fully help turn around the wr room and by the way it sounds his asking price was pretty high in my book. Would I pay 2 million for MJ no especially if the offensive coordinator isnt making that much. Can anyone here on Huskerboard name a wr coach in recent times that actually was great? My point is we have had decent names coach here but our wrs have sucked as a whole. I hope he can develop more then one wr next season and get more production from numerous players to offset the opposing coaches strategy of taking away your primary wr. It definitely could help the team go along way.

I know Nebraska wants him as a cornerback but just watching film and highlights he could play slot wr. He has good hands and seems quick. I would think about putting him there. Seems kinda short for a cornerback.

They need better players???? You got to be kidding me. Their players were hanging with Georgia and even gave them a run for their money. OSU is doing just fine with the players they bring in.

I thought Omar Manning used up all is eligiblity to play and was done.

Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Hope they find out the cause of him collapsing on the field and he makes a speedy recovery.

Can transfer take as many visits as they want to? Also I know Nebraska doesn't want to put all their eggs in a basket with transfers but definitely would help if they can grab a tight end, another wr and some more offense and defense lineman. Kinda surprised Nebraska hasn't gotten more guys from the transfer portal.

Well if he does really bad Rhule can always let him go for cheap but I tend to think the new wr coach will do just find. Find wr's that fit the offense and help develop them to send them into the NFL. There are alot of questions with the coaching staff but one thing is for sure Rhule knows what type of players and coaches he wants to build his success around. We just got to sit back and let the coaches do their job that they get paid to do.

Coaching was part of it but not all of it. You know and I know Nebraska hasn't had a interior d-line as well as a o-line that can generate a push. There are numerous things Nebraska has lacked.

I never said that and don't bring race into it. It has nothing to do with having faith in Rhule or not. Nebraska tends to play down to their opponents and just bc Colorado was really bad this year doesn't mean they will be next year. They might have their struggles during the season but since the game is in Boulder they will have home field advantage. Like I said before and I will say it again Nebraska has to take all their opponents serious.

Yeah he certainly didn't help out his team with trying to save his time outs to the very end. Last time I checked you wanted to give your team the best chance to win which he didn't.

I know he is well respected as a high school coach and he does help us with recruiting down in Texas but how does he help teach high school tight ends to make them better overall? This isn't to downgrade the hire just trying to understand the hire bc usually you hire a experience coach for a specific position. Not saying he won't do good either bc he seems very driven to succeed and hungry but you could say that about all college coaches.
