  1. Any idea on who Nebraska would or is trying to consider for the position?? Haven't heard any names on trying to fill the qb coach position or the wr position other then Joe Dailey.
  2. Yeah still same conference. I wonder what led up to him transferring out and if he transferred there bc of lack of depth to play?
  3. I understand but I seen alot of comments saying he can't throw a ball or doesn't have a strong arm. From the film I watched going back to highschool he can throw yes, he is going to have to get the ball out faster and other things but those are things the coaches can work on. He really didn't play much for Arkansas. From watching him he reminds me of Justin Fields.
  4. I wonder why did Nebraska even bring him here for a visit if they really didn't want to considered him an option???
  5. He has a better throwing motion then Tmart ever did and that's even after Tmart worked with Steve Calhoun.
  6. So Ohio State has 2 committed qb's for this class now?? They got the number one qb in the nation why offer him as well?
  7. You forget he played offense as well or was that special teams Been so long I don't remember unless I go look it up lol
  8. https://www.on3.com/news/nebraska-wr-barry-jackson-set-to-take-an-official-visit-to-cincinnati/
  9. Can I ask why the hire is against their culture?
  10. Well you missed my point I was talking about former huskers having success in general. Before Mickey got here he was one of the top wr coaches you could say in the nation.
  11. But just bc they were reaches for the previous staff doesn't mean that this staff can't or won't develop or bring out the best in those players that you mentioned. You got to have a wait and see approach to it bc you and I don't know how these coaches are. There track record does say they can develop so just got to find out that's all.
  12. Your saying bc your graduating class is small that's why he is getting overlooked or is underrated. Bc I would think once you see his tape like I watched he has speed and is tough and he should at the very least be a 3 star recruit.
  13. I do to but you got to remember Nebraska is playing in the big boy league so you should have some guys that can move and still be around 300ish pounds.
  14. I get it I really do but would you rather have Ives or Barnes who is ranked higher? Ives to me plays faster. Well in order to succeed for any rb he needs a line regardless.
  15. Wow. Must have felt that he wasn't going to be starting next year. Good luck to him. Damn that sucks going to miss his profile picture on Huskers.com
  16. And this is why Trev Alberts hired Coach Rhule for that very reason. Bc CR throughout college he has proven to go out and get guys and develop them and doesn't care if it's against the norm. What's wrong with having a 6'3 running back? The question isn't if he can develop or not its can he have sustainable success here.
  17. Yeah me either. He is ranked higher then the rb that we just got a commitment from but I never though Barnes stood out.
  18. Didn't know where to post this but great Trev Alberts interview.
  19. I didn't disagree with you. I was just adding on to what you said. I was talking to others and the guy before you that do think he is a reach.
  20. You could say the same thing about Brice Turner. There are kids that fall through the football cracks and I believe he is one of them. Maybe coaches don't know where to put him so they didn't offer him or maybe the coaches are looking at so called bigger fish and not paying attention to him and his abilities. Maybe he didn't go to camps to show coaches what he could do and so that's why he isn't ranked higher I have no clue. All I know is we have a 6'3 running back on the team that teams will have to prepare for if he stays the course and develop's.
  21. So do I. Why would you even consider him a reach? Bc he has no stars or bc of his offer list? For me I don't look at those things I look at the player overall. Yes he is fast and big and will need time to develop on pass blocking and other things but the pedigree for CR success is there. There could have been many factors as to why he isn't ranked higher or not having alot of power 5 scholarships. As long as he stays the course and grows and doesn't get hurt he should be just fine at Nebraska and it's ok to go against the norm of having a 6'3 running back. Just got to have great pad level to get low so your knee's don't get taken out but also great to run over smaller defenders. It's a win win situation for Coach Rhule to have him.
  22. Mike Leach interviews will be missed. He had great humor with the things he said.
  23. Even though he just visited??? Seems pretty talented just needs the right coaching.
