I think you are right about the run. Porkchop had one of his best days and I am sure that helped us alot. I think that our defense did what it was suppose to do in most aspects ... considering most of our LB core was out with injury. We did the best with what we had at the time. Taylor produced alot considering the type of presure he was under. Good game Nebraska! P.S. 60-1 is not a bad little bet if you wanted to throw ten dollars down on the big red to win the national championship. Weirder things have happened in college football. Its not out of the relm of possibility. GBR!!!

I think that Nebraska has one of ... if not the best walk on program in the NCAA. Every kid growing up in Nebraska dreams about being a husker at night. Even if you don't get a scholarship, through hard work and determination you can still be a starter on the team. Todd proved that to everyone. Good Work!

OMG!!! If we could get a Florida team to come to Tom Osborn field I think I would have died and gone to heaven. I don't know if they would ever accept but it would be awsome. You know a good question would be when was the last time a Florida team played in Memorial Stadium? Anyone?

I saw Tech play last year and they did not seem to have a bad program at all. Even though they lost alot of seniors we should still not let a repeat of 98 happen. I think that it is good that we are playing against 3 rookie quarter backs for our first 3 games. Having a young QB behind the center is like putting chum in the water for Carriker & Co. They will go into a feeding frenzy!!! GBR!!!

The days ( ::cough:: only three years ) that we were out of the national spot light are now over. We COULD win every game this year. It is going to take alot of blood bruises and a little luck but it can be done. USC and Texas going to probably be our toughest games in the regular season. But damn ESPN could give us a little credit. They must really hate NU or something because the other day they would not stop talking about how great of a defensive team Fresno State could be. FRESNO STATE!!! I guess we just have to shut them up the hard way. GBR

May is one of the worst band wagon jumpers I have ever HAD to lisen to my entire life. The guy reads a few pages of stats and does not know a damn thing what he is talking about ... with all of the mishaps that USC is having this year I would not INK in any games right now.

Honestly, I am wondering what all of these factors are going to do to USC's pre-season rankings. I want them as high as possible in the BCS so that when we beat them it catapults us up to the top ten. As far as looking at a running back that BIG ..... we have never seen him run or do anything really, I totaly respect your point KansasHusker but don't you remember Dahrran Diedrick? That BIG boy weighed in the fall of 2001 at 230 lbs so I would not be so fast to count them "down and out" of the running back situation.

Personally my favorite football movie was "Friday Night Lights". I know some people will dis-agree. But I really liked it.

A fairly accurate description of the Huskers for next year. I think SI did a good job. #16 is just about where I would put us too. But I will say there is no way in hell Michigan should be at #9.
