I would love a last second field goal win. Then our kicker gets his mojo back for the season.

This right here is why I think it would be a signature win. Not because it's a ranked team but because it would be a sign that the team is learning how to win games by going from a a good showing against ou to winning on the road at night the week after a tough loss.

I'm looking for mental improvement from the offense. Let's come out on the opening drive and have no penalties. For once let's see them show the moment isn't too big for them.

This thread is quickly devolving towards being my little pony bombed.

I have to think that we must be looking great in practice. Why else would we ask the returner to make a play when he's never actually had a big return in a game before? (Or did i miss one)

It does give us hope. I still feel like this is year 3 for frost. He has a long way to go though. He needs a dedicated oc and st coach.

What kills me is how our coach can be so bad at understanding situations. Down 7 with a minute and the ball...ou is going to either come at you or drop and hope the clock burns out. At this point, you have to know what your team's strengths and weaknesses are and how the rest of the game has gone. The oline is just a mess. Roll out the qb. This helps against an all out blitz and gives him the option to scramble for 10 or 15 and get out of bounds if they play prevent. Either way ot ensures you don't take a sack in bounds and ruin the whole thing right away. Sigh...

I see what you're saying but the oline continuing to false start especially at the beginning of a big game is mentally weak. This defense is stout and mentally tough though.

There has been a ton of positivity in this thread. But when your special teams implodes yet again, it gets really frustrating and ruins a lot of good will really quick. This team played well enough to win this game but we beat ourselves again. It just feels like there is no end in sight to all this sloppy play.

Kinda what we should have expected. This team doesn't know how to seize victory. They may learn but they have to cut down on stupid mistakes.
