  1. Nate Swift was a better punt returner.
  2. Woohoo, Wilkening with a bomb, now get Hohensee out there, hope he's on, and get out of this dump with a W.
  3. I don't blame the twitter people. This is hard to watch.
  4. Well, the silver lining is Big 10 teams won't be able to complain about homefield advantage in the conference tournament when Nebraska doesn't qualify.
  5. I don't think Purdue is going to help him back into a conference title this year.
  6. He did in his first year on the job, it's kinda weird how all the stuff about chaos on the basepaths and stuff has just disappeared and this is the product we're getting. Unless by chaos he meant finding ways to run yourself out of an inning, that happens a bit.
  7. Of course Minnesota's pitcher deserves credit, he is very good. But still. . .
  8. Not just the goal-line fumble against Texas in '99, but the apparent missed clip on Mike Brown on UT's last TD. I believe that was also the game where Matt Davison literally caught a ball in his chest, landing on his back and the ref ruled it incomplete, however I think they flagged UT for PI on the play so it sort of didn't matter beyond some field position difference I also think that is the play where Brent Musberger literally shouted "This is highway robbery!"
  9. Can't go wrong with Red Letter Media Hopefully we get a nice Plinkett review of this movie.
  10. Even after a third straight season of not qualifying for any kind of tournament, there were still media and fans defending Mike Anderson so all I expect there is more "But they won the Big 10 regular season last year!" Yes, and aren't building on it, at all, and are getting waxed by teams with terrible RPI rankings. The pitching injuries are bad, but it doesn't matter if on offense you leave the bases loaded with less than 2 outs more often than you actually score at least 1 run in that scenario. Even if the pitching were solid, Nebraska still doesn't generate enough runs consistently to do much damage, which is why they keep losing regional games (including to some pretty average teams) by scores of 4-1, 5-1, 6-0 etc. These have been persistent issues for multiple seasons with more than enough roster turnover (typical in college baseball, not a knock on the coaching staff) to start pointing to the head man. But here's the thing, Erstad has higher standards than the rest of us. I just want to win a game in a regional now and then, and beat the teams we should during the regular season. Erstad came out guns blazing before the 2012 season, stating if his goal wasn't to make it to Omaha, he shouldn't take the job. Well, 7 years in and we're really no closer to a CWS appearance than we were in June 2011 when Anderson was canned. Point being, I could see Erstad resigning and/or taking a job at the Major League level (where he would quite probably excel.)
  11. 6-2 in the 9th. Semi-alarming. Let's pull 5 runs out of our butt, please.
  12. As frustrating as they are to watch/listen to at times ;p they definitely deserve credit for buckling down and taking care of business
  13. Lends at least a little credence to the theory that UCF's defense was just worn down at the end of the regular season from playing 12-13 weeks without a bye, not to mention against two very prolific offenses in USF and Memphis to end it. Nobody's going to completely stifle Auburn's offense, but what they did was damned impressive.
  14. watchespn.com/espn3.com whatever. But, at least where I am, it won't quit pausing to buffer, so I gave up :/
  15. No, that was 2014 for the NCAA basketball selection show.
  16. Lyndon Johnson never apologized! Then again he is also dead.
