  1. I got Michigan over Alabama. I also like Wash over Texas.
  2. LOL I just responded about how it came to be. I should edit, but... oh well
  3. shift8 is asterisk. I was looking for asterisk on the keyboard, but I had a few adult Dr.Peppers today
  4. The scene at the Rose Bowl looks incredible. Alabama wearing all white road uniforms, with Crimson Helmets Michigan wearing classic Blue & Maize Saban vs Harbaugh One of the best venues for college football. This should be a fun, great game.
  5. Jan 1st, 2024 playoffs - Game Thread Alabama vs Michigan Texas vs Washington
  6. I laughed so hard with so much appreciation !!! This should be played on TNT, ESPN, NBA TV, etc,. every day until everyone understands. You can't run with the ball. You can't carry it. You have to dribble. But not twice. You can't walk while holding it either. Otherwise we are just doing exercises out here. For entertainment. And anybody can do that. Seriously, anybody can. Male. Female. Age doesn't matter. Young or Old. Just go to a gym and give someone a ball to carry a few steps. While they do some curls or pushups. It's that easy.

Talk about shoving a dog's nose in s#!t Incredible
  8. Jets, Canucks, Stars skating pretty well. My Oilers, not so much right now. The Edmonton Oilers will get it together in time to make a great playoff run, and get swept. In round 2. Or round 1. But I do know my team PS. As an Oilers fan, I also happen to like the Phila Flyers. Just always have. Forever

I agree about the Baltimore vs 49ers matchup right now. They are the best. It's funny how things happen and you see the Super Bowl becomes the Bills vs LA Rams or Dallas. By the way, I read both of these books when I was a kid
  10. Yes, but I think we are all coming together. As we build this thing. The OL, the RBs, the WR/TEs. We see and saw what the defense did and can do. And we hope they continue. While our offense puts in the work with who we have.
  11. Yes! I almost said that exactly, but wasn't sure if others would understand
  12. With Raiola at QB, I feel good about our returning receivers and tightends. It is a collective group that got their feet wet. Fidone, Boerkircher, Lloyd, Coleman, Doss. They all gained valuable playing time & some experience from last year. They have tape on them, and they have the offseason to get better. Add Carter (TE), Brice Turner, Charles, Bell (those guys will now be redshirt freshmen, except for Carter)..... I do not see the need for a transfer portal WR. If you get one, then he better be the best #1 target on the team. Like, he will be the best guy the day he sets foot on the turf. Otherwise we are just adding a portal player to an already talented group of players. I think, with Raiola at QB, and the talent we already have, that we can grow together with this group. That's football 101. Nothing is always solved with a transfer portal player. You have to work together with what you have, and give it time.
  13. I don't see a need for a transfer portal RB. We've done it before with mix results. We have enough good backs that keep putting in the work, fighting for the opportunity, dealing with injuries, and bouncing back. Emmet Johnson proved he is 70+ yards a game. He is only going to get better. And bigger and quicker and stronger. Gabe & Rhamir are coming back from injuries. However, don't count them out. They are good with their opportunities, and older and mature. They are serviceable and talented. Ives is the 4th guy in the mix, needs to bulk up a bit, be he want's to be out there too. Why go get someone else's trash (Portal) and claim it as gold??? We have the running backs with experience and a mix of different set of skills to get it done. And now we have a Quarterback. A good one too.
  14. You looking at it with common sense and I am right there with you It is unbelievable and we sit back quietly, appreciating an amazing thing that happen.
  15. Luka Doncic leads the NBA in points. Total points scored in NBA. PPG (points per game night) Embiid 35.0 Doncic 33.7 Isn't that awesome ??! By the way, the NBA doesn't want anyone getting near Embiid or you will get a foul called on you. He must go to the free throw line. He must get points. The league also loves to help out Giannis and Durrant. Embiid is averaging 10.3 points a night made at the charity stripe, on 11.6 attempts. Giannis is averaging 11.4 shot attempts from the free throw line. Luka is getting 8.5 attempts per game. Jokic is getting 6.2 attempts per game. All I am saying is, the whistle blows at times, it really benefits some players production, and it helps a team out when trailing.....
  16. Texas vs Washington Michigan vs Alabama Great games. Great Matchups. I have Washington & Michigan playing for the National Championship. I think the first round matchups are so exciting, but ultimately coming down to the Quarterbacks. Hopefully we will see 3 great games to decide it all.

I got Baltimore I am leaning towards Phila vs Balt Super Bowl KC Chiefs do not have it this year, which is crazy because I had them in the SB before the season started. The magic, the cohesion, the luck, the fortitude and willfulness,... it's not their year this year. They probably address the missing pieces in the off season. And be back next year year and year after that, etc. Dallas is good. But they are really good at home in a dome, climate control facility and turf at home. On the road, they are average. Even though they pump up their chest and scream to the sky after every touchdown. I love Miami. Dolphins fan. But we are a year away, or two. Or three. Buffalo looks like the best team to compete against Baltimore. That would be the best AFC championship matchup. Whoever comes out of the dust between SF, Phila, Dal will get in the SB. Although I do like the Detroit Lions playing from behind or ahead. The Lions have been a great story the last 2 years and an even better team. And don't forget about the LA Rams and Stafford. They have been ballin. Both of these 2 "underdog" teams will make it very hard for anyone trying to get past them. And also, it is good to see the Cleveland Browns winning and playing good again. 10-5 ! But we all know it's a great story and not a Super Bowl team. So there you have it. Baltimore, Buffalo, Phila, SF....... and mix in some Detroit, some KC, and some Dallas. I mean, it really could be any of these teams that wins it all. And no one could argue against it. Going to be a great playoff this year and I cannot wait to see it unfold. The story will be told, a champion will win, and there will be 2 teams playing great to win it all
  20. Oh Meh, don't get mislead. We got a 6'3 230lb 5 pass pro QB that turned down Georgia (SEC Georgia!) that wants to play for Nebraska and win a lot If he signed with Georgia or Alabama he would be the first 6 star in history Just sit back and be happy

At this time of the year I find myself looking at possible Super Bowl game/matchups. Things are looking a little bit more clearer with the playoff picture, but it's not completed yet. So here's the rub. Let's take some possible matchups, but remove them from prior Super Bowl games of the past. For example, Dallas vs Miami. We haven't seen it (although some have a long time ago), but it's been done before. Kansas City vs 49ers? Eagles vs Chiefs? San Fran vs Baltimore? Seen it. Seen it. The Harbaughs. Miami vs San Fran - a classic. That leaves us the following possiblities.... KC vs Detroit KC vs Dallas Baltimore vs Phila Baltimore vs Dallas Baltimore vs Tampa Bay Baltimore vs Detroit Tampa Bay vs Jacksonville Tampa Bay vs Cleveland Tampa Bay vs Buffalo Dallas vs Cleveland Dallas vs Jacksonville San Fran vs Cleveland San Fran vs Jacksonville San Fran vs Buffalo Miami vs Detroit Miami vs Dallas Miami vs Phila Phila vs Jacksonville Phila vs Cleveland Detroit vs Buffalo Detroit vs Cleveland Detroit vs Jacksonville LA Rams vs KC Chiefs LA Rams vs Buffalo LA Rams vs Jacksonville LA Rams vs Cleveland LA Rams vs Baltimore Sorry Colts & Seahawks. Just dont' think it's so. What games would you like to see that you haven't, just because it would be interesting? We've seen Dallas vs Miami Dallas vs Buffalo SF vs KC SF vs Baltimore Phila vs Baltimore Phila vs KC SF vs Miami
  22. I'm still shook. I try to put it in perspective. What would it be like if CJ Stroud or Bryce Young decommitted and chose to play at Nebraska, one month after we lost to Iowa? After a 4 game losing streak? I know we won 5 games with Haarberg, and I have much appreciation for that. But here I am since the news dropped, and still thinking "Did this really happen?" I find myself waving "hello" to the mailman, and taking my time doing the dishes after supper and just smiling to myself...... The magnitude of this type of talent at quarterback choosing to play at Nebraska is incredible. I'm shook. I hope every Husker fan and all Nebraskans sit back for the next several months with smiles on their faces and embrace Dylan being in the building. Because getting a talent like this is a blessing. I'm sure Iowa, Colorado, Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and countless other programs would love to be in our shoes. Even Texas & Georgia would. Smile, be kind and be happy Husker Nation. I know I am, everyday. This is about to get real good around here.
  23. Why penalize and suspend someone at the beginning of the year? Ok, well why penalize and suspend him again near the end of the season? And now why bring up old stuff from years ago that are allegedly level 1 & level 2 allegations while you prepare your team for the CFB playoffs? All in the same season. Why? I'm no Michigan fan or Harbaugh fan. If this was your neighbor, and see the humbling punishment he has taken, and this comes up now, you want to know why is this happening a 3rd time, preparing to win a championship and keep his team focused. To me, This is a search and campaign to persecute a person over and over and hopefully destroy him. You definitely do not want him or his team around. And that's not cool.
  24. Are they really going to dig up 2020 and COVID? Millions of people died, it affected the entire world, there was so much information and misinformation and changes to everything. Sports were on hold, cancelled, then back on again. You had MLB players wearing masks. College football had cutout cardboard pics of fans. People were trying to survive, live, continue, but also very confused about everything because things changed. my fam & my loved ones were very aware that covid could take one of us or more. It was a very difficult year. NCAA is going back to that year to hand out a level 1 or level 2 punishments, from the time period is something I disagree with. How do you go back to the horrific 2020 again and hand out punishments from that time period? Justify that, please. Watching a workout on Zoom? Really? That's a penalty during covid? That's newsworthy? Sending a text (or maybe a reply)? You may not like Harbaugh. But how far is this deep dive going to go? He beat Ohio State 3 years in a row. The SEC is nervous. So what?!
