I'd question the effectiveness of said "game manager"

Making quick effective decisions without being careless with the ball. I felt like he was offensively very explosive but his decision-making was frequently questionable. I’m not saying that they need to bench him but if I was frost I would give the other two quarterbacks serious look in the spring.

No. But he was also a true freshman so I was less concerned.

IMO playing qb in a system like this requires someon with good vision that can think quickly and slow down the game. It’s a natural gift that not everyone has. I don’t think You can teach it. I’m not seeing it out of AM. I hope I am wrong.

Hopefully they got the extra years at a discounted rate.

Completely agree...I’ve never understood this. A simple look at a map will tell you that the majority of the states population is around a 3 hour drive to the stadium complex in KC. Anyone that goes to a chiefs game would see the stadium littered with Nebraska hats and coats(and tons more that like myself think it’s stupid and wear chiefs stuff). This isn’t that hard. And the royals even do a “husker night” every year.

I think they are clearly improved. At this point that's all i care about. We arent going to be contending for anything anytime soon so i just want to see improvement and hope for the future. Right now outside of wandale i see little of either.

I think that if pj fleck could save their year last year frost should be able to do the same this year. That team was a dumpster fire after our game. And 2 weeks later they got blown out by Illinois. I still expect 7 wins.

I don’t feel like people understand your scale. I’m deeply concerned but I’m still a 10. If not him Then Who? If frost doesn’t work it’s time to forget 1965-2001. We are what we are. A lower rung Midwest big ten team. He needs to get the length of his contract.

To me this is very simple. Either our schemes are terrible and we need to change them (which I don’t think is the case) or we have people playing right now that have no business playing Division I football. They cannot now nor will they ever be able to play Division I football and the younger players need to play whether the coaches think they’re ready or not. Our goals are not in front of us right now. They are not obtainable. Right now we need to be focused on getting to the point where maybe next year we can compete for a Division title. But we’re never going to do that with the people that we have in ourOffense of line right now. They need to sit.

Iirc there was talk of him being moved to center (once here) during his recruitment

It makes perfect sense. I think osu has an elite run game with their line, rb and qb. I hope you are right about iowa and wisc.

In my original response I said that I expect this team to turn it on soon. I expect to beat Iowa. But until I see an actual change I have them marked as a heavy favorite. I hope that our run defense will improve because we will put up too many points for many of these teams to run that much.

His back up(iirc he got hurt in the game?) Had 59 yards on 6 carries. Also my Orivinal response was to a comment someone made about Iowa not Northwestern. But it is a thread about NW so i can see how the mistake was made. Iowa doesn't have corbin either but they have a much better line than Illinois.

So corbin running for 134 yards averaging almost 7 yards per carry for Illinois doesn't count? We gave up like 220 yards on the ground that game.
