  1. Damnit, I hate how noone on this board is in to the Husker basketball team. You guys don't seem to realize that this club is on the rise and we'll be a force in the Big 12 in the next 2 or 3 years, but in the meantime, we're still a team that has potential to knock off a top rated team night in and night out, like... ..Kansas! And in case you've been under a rock, Kansas is coming to town this Saturday, should be a great game, regardless of the final score and will show a lot as to how our tema is progressing. Anybody going to this game? I know that the Huskers have the cards stacked against them and they are a long shot to win it, but crazier things have happened. Go Huskers!!
  2. I, myself, personally, don't want him. But, I'm not a recruiter. I just think that we could find a kid fresh out of high school with his measurables that can do more.
  3. Those times aren't always accurate man, I thought that's obvious. Besides, it's not like he can't get faster in the 4 to 5 years he'll be here. 4.7 is still an improvement from wwhat we've been playing with.
  4. I still don't understand why we're making a wide receivers coach our running back coach. That can't be good if we are wanting to keep Lucky here.
  5. Haha, already tried that offer, apparently they have their sights set on someone "better" than Coz...I find that hard to believe since he is THE ultimate D coordinator in the league.
  6. How the hell'd you buy tickets to the KU game when they don't even go on sale till the 8th??
  7. Sheesh, first Zac Taylor, then Dave Kennedy, now Randy Jordan?? Want us to get you the number for Cosgrove too? I hear he's looking for a new job.
  8. After hearing all the complaints on here about how inadequate of a S&C coach he was, what makes you think it's such a solid hire?
  9. These guys don't have any more credibility than we do, they just get paid to express their opinions on paper. This nutjob doesn't know a thing about what Pelini is capable of, and probably doesn't care. He's just blowing smoke.
  10. Those are some good stats you dug up Cy, but I think a lot of those stats have to do with our run blocking. It wasn't that good, therefore, Lucky had to fight for a lot of those yards. A good Oline makes it a lot easier for a runningback to rack up yards.
  11. So if he commits, does that mean Renfree won't? Is it good to have both of them commit or are we just trying to get one more since that Ebke kid walked on? Would we pull the offer to Renfree? I wouldn't mind having both of them of here, but I don't think that would happen. Spano does look more talented, so regardless, this is very exciting.
  12. Can someone brief me on what the Unity Council is? I don't think I've ever heard of that.
  13. Nice, hope he's interested. I'm all for any type of linebacker in this class, no matter what, we just need to get some defenders in here.
  14. You aren't talking about Lucky are you?
  15. Helu to LB? Are you crazy? First of all, Helu is waaaay to undersized, he would just bounce off the players he tries to tackle, secondly, he's a very good runner with shifty moves and will be a great back for us in the future. Asante to LB however is a great idea and one that I hope happens. If Lucky's back, Nebraska is absolutely loaded with depth at RB..... Castille, Glenn, Wilson, Mendoza, Okafor, et al. And, Roy Helu came to NU as either a linebacker or running back, as I recall. So, no, I'm not crazy. Well, after looking at Helu's recruiting page, there isn't any evidence of him being looked at as a linebacker. He played mainly the offensive side of the ball, and was rarely seen on the defensive side (if at all) and I would guess that coaches were recruiting him as a running back as that's what he was projected at and played at. My guess would be that if he was told he was going to be a linebacker, he would probably transfer. http://nebraska.rivals.com/viewprospect.as...mp;pr_key=49784 Also, Okafor isn't a lock at all, he's a soft verbal right now and has publicly been shopping around at other schools. So who knows what's going to happen with him. You can never have enough running backs. So yeah, you might be a little crazy.

  17. I almost wish BJax would've stayed another year, that way it would've guaranteed that Lucky would've stayed for hsi senior year.
  18. Well.......if there was ever a time for Father to say "I told you so" I guess now would be it.
  19. Maybe Bo will hand the reigns over to the new hot coaching commodity in the nation, Zac Taylor, in 15 years. That'd be pretty crazy if he became a head coach at a major football school someday.
  20. Did Victory Haines even play....ever?
  21. That's pretty cool how they all grew up together and are now successful college coaches. Must be something in the water.
  22. What about Crouch's run from the 1 yard line to a touchdown against Missouri. He literally turned a safety into a touchdown. That was an amazing play.
  23. I'm glad he's sticking around. Would hate to see him transfer. He's our future back.
  24. ....does he have to be italian?
