  1. A good friends dad was on the support staff when Freeze was at a different school. Nothing to do with recruiting, but he does seem to lack ethics in general from listening to my friend.
  2. I am all for these satellite camps. I also hate all things SEC however, how many would feel the same about these remote camps if the SEC were in our backyard? These camps are increasingly becoming a hot button topic. I think there will be the possibility of a few outcomes in the future.....the SEC will begin to allow remote camps or the NCAA will create new restrictions on them. In the mean time, I like the return on investment of these camps, and think we should maximize while we can.
  3. I use to look forward to the Super Bowl commercials as many were very funny.....not any more. I think they sucked overall this year with the Prius commercial being the best of the bunch.
  4. Good luck to this young man; I wish we could have snagged him. The CU campus is beautiful, great surrounding scenery and many things to do. Folsom field and the fans though.......not in the plus column.
  5. Him being at ASU along with an in home visit with his friend Lamar Jackson from the ASU staff just before the dead period has me concerned. Especially when his tweet asks are WE making a move or no?
  6. I appreciate all the input. I have separate drive on my home network for backups and I keep all family oriented can't lose photos and videos on a remote server similar to drop box. It is nice to know that fresh install is an option. I am always reluctant to "upgrade" to the next best thing as I get comfortable with what I know, and I have never gotten over the horrific experience I had with Vista.
  7. It kind of feels like a merry-go-round doesn't it? The off season is hard, and many topics and conversations just recycle themselves. Even long term the conversations all seem to come full circle over the years. The topics are all similar, but with some additional new members now discussing the current team and players.
  8. Reading that was very entertaining. Sounds like someone needed to blow off steam. I have no doubt there are some "ATM gift cards" and other perks being handed out in the SEC ....and other conferences as well. If this ever got any steam, who knows what would happen. The NCAA has been inconsistent in their investigations and even the punishments handed down for decades now. I am not sure what drives that, but suspect it could be boiled down to top leadership and money in some sort of way. Honestly, I am not even sure what kind of teeth the NCAA has anymore. That's a whole conversation by itself though.
  9. Has anyone upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and regretted it? I am still running 7 Pro, but considering the free upgrade. Any thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.
  10. Denver Colorado- The scenery in the mountains is incredible. The downtown is also fantastic with decent restaurants, a nice theatre district and Coors field to take in a baseball game. Saratoga Springs, NY - Very well kept historic downtown and large horse track. There is also some little known great Revolutionary/French Indian war historic sites nearby. Amman, Jordan - The city itself was unremarkable, but it is a great leap off point for the massive amounts of awe inspiring historical sites in the area such as Mt Nebo (Moses), Jerash (Roman Empire city), Petra and others. Don't shave, and be sure to pucker your a**hole if you decide to go into the Dead Sea. The salt density is beyond anything imaginable which I really underestimated. Bucket List: Ireland Scotland
  11. I don't have an eloquent answer for you. What I do know is winning makes me happy. Losing makes me sad.
  12. Nine wins w/ BLOWOUT losses vs 5-7 w/ close losses. Both are upsetting and embarrassing, just in different ways. As we move forward though, we can hope that this season was rock bottom and now we only have one direction to go?
  13. Not sure if you found that or made it, but it is awesome!
  14. Is there a chance we could get an emoticon of a goal post that moves left and right? I could have used one more than once, and I am sure others might find it useful as well.
  15. I think you may be correct that ego does play a role in it, along with people not wanting to admit being wrong in general. Hopefully some experienced criminal lawyers can throw in some other insight.
  16. I have not seen it yet but hope to soon. I have heard the prosecution come out and denounce it, but that means little to me. I do have a question for any lawyer types though, as I know we have a few on the board. Why does it seem like the prosecution almost never admits to mistakes in what is or appears to be wrongful convictions? I will use the Duke Lacrosse scandal with Mike Nifong as one extreme example, but I think I have seen other times when it puzzled me how much they stuck to their position regardless of evidence, new or old.
  17. MD...there is discussion about this in Rumorville.
  18. Sometimes I think that applies to GM's as well. The Colts GM sounds unprepared, uneducated and under qualified when he speaks in public, along with other questionable things. On a different note, I would be shocked if Riley goes anywhere.
  19. For those of us that were / currently in the armed services, it is commonplace to hear.....train like you fight, fight like you train. I think this could be applied to practice and game days as well.
  20. Opinion? Heard it from a friend? Talked to him?
  21. Penalties will always occur....however... Where did penalty occur? Red zone, deep in your own territory? When did penalty occur? Third and long, Third and short, 4th down, late in game with close score? When team had momentum? My point here is reducing penalties should always be a point of emphasis. Penalties can easily cost you a game, even just one at the wrong time or the wrong place on the field. Statistics don't always seem to capture that.
