  1. and 61 did at least push borland off of martinez. even did a little hand slapping with some other wisconsin players.
  2. I don't believe anyone has questioned Miles' ability to get a player to commit to Nebraska. It's everything after that fans have lost faith in. They still need to buy in. The players we lost were more worried about where they were playing, instead of the team. 4 losing seasons in 5 years where players have bought in and the results are the same There is no buy in, if they are leaving because they do not get there way, wonder if miles told these players when he was recruiting them that his plan would be to play them out of position and have no semblance of an offense whatsoever. you can claim no buy in but that buy in is most likely not what miles sold them on.
  3. he needs to start doing something with the talent he is bringing in. remember last year when we had threads about the team being the best collection of talent ever at Nebraska? how well did that turn out?
  4. All sports but football. There won't be football at wsu for the foreseeable future. There's little support to bringing it back.
  5. Did Adele tell you that? They may set fire to this rain we are having. and if they let us down they let us down easy.
  6. going out on a limb here and gonna say we might be done recruiting for 2015.
  7. now to take a couple days to come down from this high then go have a look see at the boneyard.
  8. All sorts of ways to get it on there, including intentionally put it on there. And it's not like they wash chest protectors daily.
  9. And someone has already created the Wichita south Dakota twitter handle in response.
  10. Not sure I could handle reading two boards until after an announcement. The waiting is killing me. And oddly that's the u conn board they said the "crazy" fans populate. Have already had 3 or 4 u conn visitors to shockernet.net They were the ones giving the warning.
  11. BTW wtf is going on at unconn with the men's basketball team? Transfers and a top recruit requesting to be let out of his loi.
  12. such a shame i will have to dislike seaofred shortly. but on the bright side beating uconn will be better for the shocks' rpi than beating anyone in the mvc. i think i can live with that burden.
  13. you tell us. this is your mob to say morrow is at best a bench player when what you just posted says otherwise. EDIT: had to change a verb from was to is.
  14. I'm not exactly dismissing him, I'm saying for us to compete at a high level, he would be a back-up post player. Not our best player. So, maybe that is why we went 12-18. I went and looked at his game-logs, and he had some really nice games against high level competition (or teams that made the NCAA tournament), then he completely didn't show up in the stat sheet against some sub-par opponents that we ended up losing to. Do I wish he was staying? Yes. Do I think we are lost without him? Absolutely not. How many games did we win when he wasn't playing last year? Beat Purdue, does that count? so 1?
  15. Altman only had 7 yrs HC experience when Collier was hired. Collier had 11 yrs at Butler and had just finished his 4th 20 win season in a row. He also had 6 yrs exp as an assistant in the PAC10. Just looking at their resumes up to that point and Collier does make sense to hire given he had more experience as an AC/HC. and with hindsight being what it is, you look at Altman's resume now and are frustrated with how Nebraska failed to hire him not once but twice. Flip side of that is you dont know if he would have been able to duplicate the success he has enjoyed thus far in his career.
  16. these graduate transfers or just transfers?
  17. they passed him up multiple times. first time brought nebraska the great barry collier. believe that was when he said he wanted the nu job. dont think when they hired the peerless doc sadler he was even a consideration. by the time the miles experiment came around he was already at oregon. he also would have been the reason for creighton being the better job in 2007. he also left k-state to take over creighton after the 93-94 season. for whatever reason altman was never the direction they wanted to go with the basketball program.
  18. who is extra large 4? not all of us follow recruits on twitter and one tweet out of a conversation is rather vague.
  19. Seriously, was he arguing about the word "soon" then gloating about it? My lord the information shared is great but come on just because what you share differs by something as minor as that just deters from it. Matty really do appreciate what you share but pick your battles better.
  20. I stopped watching his highlights about 1 min in. The scoring was nice but show us him getting back on D after the bucket. Also the 25 footer was not a very smart shot.
  21. incorrect. you expect to see growth from your freshmen. early season struggles are expected with almost all freshmen. late season, they should be able to execute the offensive and defensive plans at a fairly high level if they are playing. and that in-season growth is mainly from coaching.
  22. where exactly is this shot? youth is just an excuse for failure. the thread is just pointing out that other teams overcame their "youth" and won. and if it's the "one of them wont be back" comment, iirc one of the freshman at MSU was considered a one and done coming out of high school. if i have that wrong, one of them leaving is also just the way of college basketball now.
