  1. I disagree. People won't publicly say it but it is still in the back of most peoples minds. The combination of last season and now the start of this season is just too much. I've had enough of the Bo Pelini experiement. Even when we had Suh, we still had the bend but don't break defense which I was never a fan of. The good offenses always had sucess against us (except a couple games).
  2. This isn't a kneejerk reaction....this has been coming for a long time.
  3. Some of the worst linebackers I have ever seen on a football field. The defensive ends are just as bad. Have you ever heard about containing the QB?
  4. Bo Pelini was brought in to ensure that we had a good to great defense year in and year out. It is becoming obvious that our defense was only good the first couple years under Pelini because of the left over players from Billy C. Evidence is last years and this years defense. They are absolutely pitiful. We all know that Bo isn't mastermining this offense.....So what in the world is he doing? Why is he our coach? This defense is a joke.
  5. Michigan looks awful. Absolutely no flow on offense. No running game at all. Getting in long yardage situations and just chucking deep balls. Now Robinson might be out....recipe for disaster.
  6. Anybody who actually thought our defense was gonna be good this year, needs to look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves if they actually know anything about football.
  7. I could totally see this rule lasting only one year and then being changed again. Teams are going to have their kicker kick the ball to the goal line every time since they now have 5 less yards to cover. Why kick it in the endzone and take it to the 25? Kickers are currently able to kick it out of the endzone from the 30, that is roughly 80 yards. If they only have to kick it 65 yards (35yd line to goal line) they should be able to kick it MUCH higher than before. I think you'd be crazy to just settle for a touchback every time. Pin the other team at the 10.
  8. No way this gets approved. Moving the ball out to the 25 on touchbacks? Might as well start awarding 9 points for a touchdown.
  9. Its amazing when you take away someone's passion, at such an old age, they basically give up life. Sad situation. http://philly.sbnation.com/penn-st-nittany-lions/2012/1/21/2724134/joe-paterno-death-penn-state-university
  10. What automatic wins DO they have or SHOULD they have. This year Nebraska SHOULD have had automatic wins against UT Chat, Fresno State, Washington, Wyoming, Minnesota, Northwestern. That is 6 auto wins and Im tempted to include Iowa in there to make it 7 cause I really don't think they are very good. When you are at the level of program Nebraska is, their auto wins in the B1G should be, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue. We should be able to beat these 6 teams at about a 95% rate. Meaning they could upset u maybe 1 in 20 games. I think we should be able to beat the other 5 teams in the league at around a 60% rate.
  11. You don't read very well if you think people around here are complaining becasue Bo hasn't won a National Title yet. Let me recap it for you. People are complaining because: 1. The way Bo handles himself during games and the overall image he bestows upon Nebraska. 2. Our blowout losses. Those are the main things people are upset about. Really? People aren't complaining about not playing for a national championship in over 10 years? Says the guy who made a post about Nebraska's national championship history to use it as a reason why Bo Pelini isn't the right coach for Nebraska... WHAT?!? Ladyhawke said people are complaining that we haven't won a NC since Bo got here. That is 4 years, not 10. Little bit of a difference. Reading comprehension, something you learn in 3rd grade. Try it sometime.
  12. It is very relevant. Bo was more worried about arguing calls (specifically that bogus PI call) than he was actually coaching the game. His demeanor in the second half of the USC game definitely had an effect on the outcome IMO. When your coach doesn't even know what is going on in the game because he is more worried about dropping F Bombs on the ref, that is a problem. You must not get out much or watch games on TV ever. Bo Pelini is not liked or respected amongst the college football world, especially the fans. Go to about any other B1G or Big 12 message board and ask for yourself. Posts after the game from USC fans themselves stated this exact thing.
  13. Try reading the last few posts above yours. Reading usually helps you understand the context of the topic being discussed. I also bet your dad doesn't go around telling people that his dad fought in The Battle of the Bulge.
  14. Just like everyone else around the country is laughing at Bo. Funny how when Husker fans are doing the laughing its all good but when our own coach is the subject of laughter, he is just being "passionate."
  15. Im not saying they should know all the details. Im saying they shouldn't pull stuff out of their a$$ unless they are completely positive it happened. My Grandfather fought in WWII. I have no idea what he did in it. Im not about to go around telling people that I think he fought in The Battle of the Bulge. That would be absurd.
  16. I understand that a lot of people dont talk about that stuff and many family members don't know details like that. So if Bo doesn't know 100% that his Father fought in the Battle of the Bulge, why say you think he did? It really made him sound like he didn't know what he was talking about and was just making stuff up. That would be like saying..."I think my dad was in the towers on 9/11 but Im not sure, he was in NYC that day though"
  17. I saw that show on BTN. During the episode, the reporter asked Bo a question about his Father and something about what he remembered about him or something, I don't remember the exact question. Bo went on to answer the question by saying that his Father fought in WWII and Bo thought, I repeat THOUGHT he had fought in the Battle of the Bulge. The Battle of the Bulge was the largest and probably worst battle in all of WWII. You either KNOW your Father fought in it or you don't. Bo was simply making up random BS that sounded good. I thought Bo Pelini was an idiot after watching that show.
  18. You don't read very well if you think people around here are complaining becasue Bo hasn't won a National Title yet. Let me recap it for you. People are complaining because: 1. 19. BCS Bowl Games this year: Rose Bowl: Wisconsin 38 - Oregon 45 Fiesta Bowl: Stanford 38 - Okla St 41 Sugar Bowl: Michigan 20 - Va Tech 23....Normal Game, LOL Orange Bowl: W. Virginia 70 - Clemson 33 Im glad we hired a defensive minded coach too. All of college football seems to be scoring points in bunches lately while the Huskers manage a whopping 13. Now that Ive said this, the National Title Game will probably be a another defensive yawner and have a final score of 2-0.
  20. Reading some of your posts lately just make me want to shake my head...anyways. What you don't understand is....There are coaches across the country who could be considered hot heads because they yell and scream at the refs and are "passionate." Whatever. The difference between these coaches and Bo is....On a level of 1-10, 1 being dull and stoic, 10 losing ur mind, most coaches hang out around a 4 most of the game. If there is a bad call, they might get animated and argue the call, raising their level to 8. Within a matter of seconds, they have returned to that level 4. They are in control of their emotions and have the ability to focus on the task at hand. Bo might start out the game at 4 but with that first bad call he has skyrocketed to that level 8 or higher. He also remains at that 8 for the majority of the game. Bo lets his emotions get the better of him and effects his performance negatively.
  21. In the 70's Nebraska played in 2 National Title Games, 80's they played in 1 National Title Game, 90's they played in 4 National Title Games, 2000's they played in 1 National Title Game. Let that sink in a little bit. They have played in at least 1 Title Game every decade since the 70's. Nebraska was good WAY BEFORE THE 90's. You're basically saying that Nebraska fans should wait another 15 years to possibly play in a National Title game? That's 2027. You're telling me Nebraska should go from 2001 to 2027 without playing for a National Title? 26 years? Almost 3 decades? When they have played in a title game every decade since the 60's. Sorry, you are wrong. I HAVE WAY HIGHER EXPECTATIONS THAN THIS. NEBRASKA IS BETTER THAN THIS.
  22. Exactly. They have to be held accountable. The person who doesn't hold them accountable is Bo Pelini. When Austin Cassidy makes mistake after mistake after mistake, yet starts game after game after game, there is no accountability. That is coaching. Bo can sit there and say he is coaching his players but they aren't doing what their coached to do, well Bo, do something about it.
  23. Not sure what you're talking about....Larry is THE MAN!!!
