I'm just glad Mike Patrick isn't calling the game. For some reason, we've had bad luck when he's called our games. Ron Franklin, as old and senile as he is, has been good luck.

I love this post. I want last year's offense back so bad. The o-line needs significant improvement but a QB with experience with the system should put us over the top.

Everyone has there opinion and agruments, but IMO its not the OC that needs replaced, maybe Cotton. Slauson and Murtha were huge and its obvious how big they were for us. We also miss the playmakers (Ganz/Peterson/Swift). We hung some points with these guys last year under the same coaches. Last years offense + this years defense = 12-1, maybe 13-0 Keep Watts, dump Lee and hope Spano and Green come through for us next year Ganz wins this game for us last night without a doubt. kids a gamer

I think we need Watson to not be the QB coach anymore. I think when Ganz comes back to be GA, he should have full rein with the QBs.

We had the right scheme last year with Ganz, Swift, and company. They had no problems. With Green and the receivers having another year of that system, not the power running system that we can't run anymore, we'll be fine. Ball control, multiple, spread offense. Hopefully one that can impose it's will.

I think it does more so in the world of 85 scholarships. Something needs to put a team over the top all things being equal. If Nebraska has a competent offense next year, with this defense, they are equal to or better than anyone in the nation. This travesty of a loss is the catalyst to a national title year. This isn't Kool-aid drinking because I don't think our offense is capable until we see some games next year. This is THE MISSION. THE WILL OF THE TEAM WILL BE IMPOSED ON EVERYONE NEXT YEAR. I'm gonna disagree with you here. I know that Double Nickel has forgotten more about how to be a defensive lineman than I can and will ever know, but let's be honest, he's probably forgotten A LOT. He was a junkie after all. Not saying he's not awesome now, but that lifestyle had to have taken it's toll.

A lot of factors in play here. ND has a ton of talent on the field, but Weis couldn't coach em up. Do you look for a coach who likes to run 3-4 or WCO, or do you blow the whole thing up? Either way, the mentality needs to be changed. That's where it's gonna start.

I think it is possible because of the point gap difference between #1 and #2 over #4 and so forth. If the SEC Title game is tight as hell I think it is very possible that the computers could still create the rematch something that supposedly humans cannot overcome. i thought that after the 2003 ou/lsu/usc debacle that they finally put a rule in where you had to win a conference title to go to the national title game. but i maybe off base with that because i don't remember hearing it, i might just want that to be the case.

This has to be the craziest story ever. You don't inexplicably crash your car into a fire hydrant. Something had to have happened. All he has to say is he was texting. Even if it's a lie. He has the benefit of the doubt in the court of public opinion. Texting while driving has proven to be dangerous, so it makes total sense. But now that he won't say anything about it, everything is possible. I haven't been reading anything into this, what the rumors are and everything, I didn't think cheating was a possibility. Who would cheat on that piece of ass? Just say something dude. It can be that bad. Unless it is. Then saying something or not, your legacy is tarnished.
