  1. this game has the feel like it will go down to the wire.
  2. Absolutely agree with your assessment of dan vili waldrop. living out in here in california i remember when he signed out of banning high school. the sad thing is, i think he started from his spohmore year on.
  3. yes, it is true that jamall lord was the real weak link on that offense, but i saw nothing during the 2003 season that showed cotton could compensate for lord's lack of ability and the o-line was mediocre at best under cotton's watch. if you look back on that season you will note that the big reason they won 10 games was due to the defense and the offense only seemed to "manage" and not lose games.
  4. Lighten up Francis. HuskerRob, you are a madman. When you stole that cow, and your friend tried to make it with the cow. I want to party with you, cowboy. If the two of us together, forget it. I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I'm gonna volunteer my leadership to this platoon. An army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe. And Sergeant NUpolo8 is always gonna be here to be that big toe for us. I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest, bestest buddy, and big toe... Sergeant NUpolo8. Chicks dig me. Because I rarely wear undewear, and when I do, its usually something provocative. and i'm certainly not going to take you or your luggage to the airport
  5. good call on byron white. when i ever talk with my dad (who grew up in colorado) and college football comes up in the conversation, he inevetably brings up the story about listening to the 1938 cotton bowl game against rice and how byron "whizzer" white scored the first two touchdowns to put CU up 14-0. he then conveniently forgets to talk about how they wound up losing 28-14!
  6. man, it's a lot more fun reminiscing about past husker glory then dwelling on this season's debacle!
  7. if you like husker trick plays, it would be great if someone could get their hands on the fourth quarter footage of the 1980 cotton bowl vs houston. nebraska scored a touchdown on the old swinging gate play, but as i recall it was called back because the refs (not expecting it) called illegal motion or something on it. nebraska ended up scoring on a pass shortly after it so it didn't matter i guess. in addition, i think they have outlawed that play just like the fumblerooski. too bad. i love trick plays.
  8. i didn't see any from the 1960's so i will offer up Dennis Claridge's 68 td run around the right side during the orange bowl against auburn. the crushing block by all american guard bob brown on that play was a thing of beauty.
  9. Then the smart people would have pointed out how many high ranked teams T.O. beat, how he has'nt had less then 9 wins each year and how he has been competitve in every game. All would be an good excuse to keep him. He also won a few bowl games in the 70's Can you really use those excuses with Callahan? exactly.. name the top 10 teams that Cally's beat... how many bowl games in how many seasons.. winning percentage.. conference winning percentage.. exactly. no comparison
  10. Actually it was the Japs who bombed Pearl Harbor, not the Germans. It's apparent that you have never seen one of the greatest movies of all time! i have. "Germans!?" Otter: 'He's on a roll"
  11. the coaches comments on the internet feed are about to start. this should be interesting.
  12. davison is giving it to the coaching staff on the internet feed. my sentiments exactly.
  13. i never thought i would say this, but i am glad this season is finally over. the absolute worst.
  14. the defense has officially given up. this will get ugly. suh and ruud should take a seat on the bench.
  15. never in a million years would he forfeit. it is beyond me why he would say such a thing when he would obviously never carry through with it.
  16. as with bill mcartney before him with all that red letter crap and trying to make a rivalry out of this game where none existed before (and still does not exist), sounds like this guy is just trying to stir the pot a bit to try and give this game that air of rivalry. he should have come up with a better story. two old ladies throwing tomatoes? pathetic attempt.
  17. i want one that starts Dear Penthouse: you probably won't believe this, but i am a student at a midwestern university and last saturday night while doing my differential equations homework in the stacks of love library.... someone please take it from here
  18. you are giving us way too much credit. we can easily get blown out by an average big 12 team. we have proved that several times this year.
  19. Terry Rodgers/Sam Francis OK.. Tom Rathman/Scott Frost i think sam francis would be a great choice, although he comes across as a bit "stiff" to me... Speaking of "stiff", How about he's still alive?
  20. Terry Rodgers/Sam Francis OK.. Tom Rathman/Scott Frost i think sam francis would be a great choice, although he comes across as a bit "stiff" to me... Speaking of "stiff", How about
