Herman is interesting. Even if you want to discount his Ohio St OC years because of an embarrassment of riches athletically, he did a nice job at Almost every other stop in his career. While the Texas situation may not have quite worked out, he did win 4 bowl games in 4 years including a Sugar Bowl over Georgia. I think he could be a guy to get the program going in the right direction again. Downside is I think if he was successful he would probably bolt when something better came along. Still worth it IMO

So many moving parts. Alumni, boosters, the fact the Frost was supposed to be The One etc. And yeah the money. It matters. Saving 7.5 mil is not something to scoff at. I’m sure Trev had a feeling that he would be faced with this but I think he made the decision he had to make. And can we please just stop the talk about bringing in thoroughbred coaches. It’s not happening. It’s going to have to be another “up and coming” guy or it will be a somewhat known name/retread who was decent at some point ie Bielma. Thankfully, neither could be worse then our current regime.

I’m not thrilled by any means, but Buffalo isn’t a$$. They have been the best in the MAC of late and Toledo just took Norte Dame to the wire today. It’s not like Fordham or the Sun Belt. Im sure as hell not praising them. This is the worst offense I’ve seen here, but I’ll take whatever positives I can at this point

100%. The D has improved every year. This is a good defense now. The offense regresses every year.

I just can’t even figure out what this offense is. Like how do you describe it? What is it trying to do? It just seems totally random and disjointed. For all the s#!t Chin has taken since arrival, at least I see something happening on the defensive side. The offense is just…entropy

This game turned on a few bad mistakes and some terrible officiating. OSU was always going to win because we couldn’t stop the pass but Nebraska looked good on both sides of the ball at times. Final score is not at all indicative of how we played. I’m not saying I’m happy with the outcome and the puzzling secondary play, but this team will win some games this year and I think they will hang with anyone else in the conference. I know this is probably a strange opinion coming off of what looks like a blowout but I saw some glimmers of hope. I think this offense is going to be tough to stop going forward

Frost sucks. Nebraska has that game. He continues to ignore the fact that Martinez is atrocious. This is all on him.

Seriously someone needs to ask this. It’s lunacy that he keeps going back to it. When Matt f#&%ing Millen is openly wondering why you are doing it, you know it’s bad. My god I just can’t wrap my head around it. How many promising drives has it killed today alone?

Mills should be in on every play unless he needs a rest for a few. It’s I sane how underutilized he is.
